Waching daily Dec 1 2018

Arsenal are back in action on Sunday afternoon, and it's a massive north London derby

Heading into the fixture on the back of a 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions, head coach Unai Emery will be hoping the decision to rest the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Lucas Torreira, Mesut Ozil and Sokratis against FC Vorskla in the Europa League on Thursday evening pays off

Much has changed for the north London outfit in recent months. Emery was handed a tough baptism of fire as he began life in English football with back-to-back defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea

However, the Gunners have bounced back from those losses in some style. They put together an impressive 11-game winning run, which came to an end against Crystal Palace at the end of October

What followed was a slight dip in results. Following a win in the Carabao Cup over Blackpool the Gunners drew three straight games against Liverpool, Sporting CP and Wolves which saw them lose a bit of ground on the top four

However, they returned to winning ways against Bournemouth last weekend, comfortably beat Vorskla with a weakened team and should go into the north London derby full of confidence

With that said, all eyes will be on which starting XI Emery will select in an attempt to stretch their unbeaten run across all competitions to 19 games and the Spanish tactician has a near full strength squad to choose from

We have taken a look at the latest situation in the north London outfit's treatment room ahead of the game against Spurs thanks to the good people at physioroom

Muslims demand full legal protection from Islamophobia UK news - Duration: 3:16.

Muslims demand full legal protection from Islamophobia UK news

Muslim organisations are urging Theresa May, Jeremy Corbyn and all other party leaders to adopt a newly proposed working definition of Islamophobia in an attempt to put pressure on a reluctant Home Office to follow suit.

The Muslim Council of Britain and other Islamic groups want the Conservatives and Labour to take the lead in the aftermath of a week marked by public outrage over the alleged racist bullying of a 15-year-old Syrian refugee in Huddersfield.

The definition was set out in a report published by a cross-party group of MPs last week and says: "Islamophobia is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness."

Harun Khan, secretary general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said his and other groups hoped political leaders would "all understand the importance of listening to communities" and make a "positive response" by adopting the definition.

However, a Home Office minister said earlier that the department had no intention of adopting a definition, in response to a question from one of the chairs of the cross-party group, the Conservative MP Anna Soubry. Victoria Atkins told the Commons in March that there were "many definitions of Islamophobia", but added: "We do not accept the need for a definitive definition, but we know that Islamophobia is clearly recognised and that we have very effective monitoring systems of all race-hate crimes."

The inquiry by the all-party parliamentary group on British Muslims held sessions in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Sheffield. Members heard about a wide spectrum of Islamophobic experiences, including multiple incidents of physical and verbal abuse.

A Muslim woman described how a lit firework was posted through her letterbox in her home in Wales; a student in Sheffield was abused on public transport and "no one intervened to stop it". Victims described the impact on their mental health of their experiences, which often left them feeling isolated.

A newly launched website in support of the definition includes the example of a Muslim mother who was allegedly attacked by three women "for wearing a headscarf" as she walked to a primary school in south London.

The plea for politicians to adopt the definition comes after a bruising summer dominated by rows about antisemitism in the Labour party as well as Islamophobia among the Conservatives, following a particularly controversial newspaper column written by the former foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, in which he compared fully veiled women to letterboxes and bank robbers.

Labour's antisemitism row was partly resolved when, after a long period of argument, the party's national executive committee agreed to adopt a working definition drawn up by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance and all 11 attached examples.

Those who worked on the definition of Islamophobia wanted it to capture the reality that, while Muslims are not a race, abuse against them amounts to a form of racism. At the same time it was felt important that the definition did not silence non-racist criticism of Islam.

Two of the most influential contributions to the parliamentary group's work were made by Professor Salman Sayyid of Leeds University and AbdoolKarim Vakil of King's College London.

They said: "Opposition to the term Islamophobia or to attempts at its definition is nothing new. Islamophobia is racism; naming and combating Islamophobia is not about special pleading, it's about civil rights."

Alaska Earthquake: AFTERSHOCKS COMING! Bible Prophecy News - Duration: 6:09.

A 7.0 Earthquake has rattled Alaska and shockwaves are expected to be ongoing.

How should we react to this event in the light Bible Prophecy?

Stay tuned!

A 7.0 earthquake has struck just outside of Anchorage, Alaska.

Yes, the beautiful land of Alaska has been rocked by nature's fury.

What's more, aftershocks are expected to continue for years.

Melissa Lohr, who lives in Alaska, told CNN "It felt like the ground was gonna open up".

In fact, this is exactly what happened.

Check out this shocking footage from today's earthquake.

As you can see, the ground has literally-opened up as a result of this 7.0 powerhouse, which

struck 25 miles beneath the earth's surface.

Here is some additional information and footage of this destructive quake.

Soon after the catastrophe, President Trump tweeted:

To the Great people of Alaska.

You have been hit hard by a "big one."

Please follow the directions of the highly trained professionals who are there to help

you.

Your Federal Government will spare no expense.

God Bless you ALL!

7-10 thousand Alaskans are now without power, reports Alaska's Municipal Light and Power.

They are warning residents to avoid downed power lines.

Kristin Dossett, an Alaska resident, told CNN, "I have been here 37 years and that was

the most violent earthquake I have ever felt.

It was absolutely terrifying," She goes on to say

"It shook like I have never felt anything shake before.

It just didn't stop.

It kept going and got louder and louder, and things just fell everywhere — everything

off my dressers, off my bookcases, my kitchen cupboard.

Just broken glass everywhere."

To make matters worse, multiple aftershocks of this earthquake are expected.

Scientists are predicting that this is just the beginning.

In fact, CNN reports that there have now been 30 aftershocks from

the original earthquake.

For students of Bible prophecy, we know that we can expect natural disasters, including

fires, earthquakes, and more, to be rampant in these final hours of earths history.

The Alaska earthquake is not a cause us for panic, but should serve as just another wake

up call that we ARE living in the end times.

Yes, aftershocks are coming.

The Bible says For nation shall rise against nation, and

kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes,

in divers places.

The Bible describes how famines, pestilences, and earthquakes will be happening with increasing

frequency and intensity in the last days.

And of course, the apocalyptic book of Revelation speaks of that great earthquake that will

shake the earth to it's core just before the return of Jesus Christ:

And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as

was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great…And every

island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

But friends, we need fear in these final days.

If we give ourselves to Jesus, confess our sins, and commit to learning and obeying His

Word, we can have peace and hope – even through the storms of life.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried

into the midst of the sea;" Yes, we can hide ourselves in the Rock of

Ages.

We can walk hold onto the mighty arm of Jesus and live with confidence in these end times!

Consider this powerful Bible promise: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the

most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Friend, is it your desire to make Jesus your refuge?

To give your life to Him?

To have peace, hope, and security in these last days?

If this is your desire, please write in the comment section below

"Rock of Ages, let me hide myself in Thee".
