Waching daily Nov 7 2018

I'm Lauren White from Mrs. Gaddy's class and I'm Jasmine from Mrs. Gaddy's class. We are

your ODE news team for the week. It's Thursday, November 8th, 2018. We have

now been in school for 39 days.

Now let's stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

and remain standing until after the moment of silence.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the

Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty

and justice for all.

Now it's time for the South Carolina Pledge.

Please repeat after me.

I salute the flag of South Carolina

and pledge to the Palmetto State

love, loyalty, and faith.

Now please pause for a moment of silence.

Sunrise was at 6:40 a.m. and sunset will occur at 5:17 p.m.

The next high tide will take place 10:24 a.m.

The lunch choices for today are baked chicken or smoked sausage with macaroni and cheese.

Now I'll hand it over to Lauren.

The class that collects the most non-perishable food during the month of November will be

treated to a lunch. You have until November 16th to bring your items.

Jump Rope for Heart monies should be turned in to Mr. Hoffnagle during PE class

between November 13th to the 20th.

Also Coats4Kids will be taking place this month so clean out your closets and help our community.

Internet Safety Night for your parents is taking place tonight at 6 o'clock.

Here are just a few trivia facts for the day. Number one: you will never see a full moon and the sun in

the sky at the same time. Number two: the juice of one type of chili

pepper can burn through a latex glove. Number three: and last but not least the

world's smallest flying robot called a robo B is slightly larger than a penny.

adios amigos!

Liverpool news: Arsenal game showed Jurgen Klopp has made THIS big change to team - Burley - Duration: 3:03.

Liverpool drew 1-1 at the Emirates, with Alexandre Lacazette equalising in the final 10 minutes to secure a point for Arsenal

The result means the Reds are level on points with second-placed Chelsea in the Premier League table and two points adrift of leaders Manchester City

However, despite their unbeaten start to the campaign, Burley does not think Liverpool are quite at the same level as they were under Jurgen Klopp last season

He claims they would have caused Arsenal more problems if they were at their intense best

"They seem to have taken it down at least a notch in terms of their intensity," former Chelsea midfielder Burley said

"I know Arsenal are on a great run and Unai Emery's doing some good things at the moment down there

"But they would have smothered this Arsenal team, they would have stifled the mistakes out of them

"They didn't do that." Four days after the Emirates draw, Liverpool suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat at Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League

Klopp's side now face a tough task to qualify out of Group C, with matches against Paris Saint-Germain (away) and Napoli (home) to come

But Burley is backing Liverpool to still get through, along with PSG. "If I was PSG I think I'd be relatively confident," he continued

"If I've got Liverpool at home, who aren't quite playing as well as they were last year, they're joint second in the Premier League, they're two points behind, they're joint top of this group, I get that

"But they're just slightly undercooking what they were. "You've got PSG who are playing them (Liverpool) at home and you've got PSG who've got arguably the worst team in the segment (Red Star), but it's away from home

"I think if I was them, I'd be saying 'listen, there's six points here'. "I'm going to say PSG go through because I can see them beating Liverpool in Paris and I'll think they'll do enough in Belgrade

"With Liverpool at home I'm going to say Liverpool (to go through as well)."
