Waching daily Nov 28 2018

Good morning students and staff at Ocean Drive Elementary. I'm Jackson Helms

and I'm Madelyn Price from Miss Myers' class and we are your ODE news team for the week.

Today it's Thursday, November 29th, 2018. We have now been in school for 52 days.

Now let's all stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and remain

standing until after the moment of silence.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the

Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and

justice for all.

Now for the South Carolina pledge. Please repeat after me.

I salute the flag of South Carolina

and pledge to the Palmetto State

love, loyalty, and faith.

Now please pause for a moment of silence.

Now for a look at the weather. It's going to be mostly sunny today. The high for

today is 54 with a low around 40 degrees. Sunrise was at 6:59 a.m. and sunset will

occur at 5:08 p.m. The next high tide will take place 3:07 p.m.

Lunch choices for today:

fried chicken or turkey and cheese wrap with brown rice and gravy.

Now let's turn it over to Madelyn. Breakfast with Santa and Rudolf will take

place Saturday, December 1st at the kitchen table from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

You and your family can help raise money for our school. The school with the most

participation will receive a $100 bonus. Thank you to everyone who donated to

Coats 4 Kids this year. The items will be distributed on Saturday, December 8th

from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Coast RTA in Conway. Tonight ODE will be having a

Multicultural Family Night from 5:30 till 7 o'clock p.m. Come out and help

honor the cultures and traditions of our ESOL students.

More information was sent home in the newsletter.

Shalom!
