I have always been in search of other things, things that are not in the market.

But there are, also, some devices that work for me and that I use them in another way.

For example, before I started doing these things, I also disassembled phones to put inside things.

So that, when you dialed a number, it produced a sound of something else, something odd.

This is an idea I've always had.

Of course, it means doing it yourself ... We can see that there are many types of "do-it-yourself":

for example, this idea, there are kits that help you weld it, you build the thing… and there you go, you have it.

You can start from scratch and say, okay, I make the schemes, I'm going to do everything myself.

So, this means do it yourself, do not buy it done... I also understand how things are made,

to be able to use them.

I tend to take the side of research, and the good thing is that now there is internet.

And a lot of people have been uploading things for years on the internet. So

So, I've learned technical knowledge, but I'm not in electronics or anything.

I studied music and I am interested in researching about the issue.

So, if I need a specific sound or I want to do something specific, then I search

the internet to see who has done it and, more or less, I rearrange things. I give it

a thought, so to see if I can use them, or others can do it.

When you assemble a module or a gadget that you are thinking of mounting in this precise way,

it's because you want the sound to be more or less like that... and each

person who builds a synth like these, or has a set of gadgets, finds a unique result. Because

you make it as you want it. In the end, it is because you are looking for a specific sonority.

The best-known project, with more media success, is obviously Reactable, definitely.

It's a project that began around 2003. I started it with three PhD students, who were

Günter Geiger, Martin Kaltenbrunner and Marcos Alonso, a graduate student

of this incipient career at that time.

We were developing it for three years and saw the light towards 2006.

Since then, many things have been going on.

It was the beginning of YouTube and we had the idea, at the end of 2006, of making a video. And that video became viral.

In three months it had millions of visits and it was watched by many people, including Björk...

... In fact, she did not watch it, Michel Gondry did, and he was the one who told Björk to write to us.

And then, the process was very fast, because two months later

-that was about the spring of 2007- Björk began her Volta tour, and she had the album all recorded, and

in a month and a half we saw each-other and deliver Reykjavik a functional table, that was on tour for a couple of years.

Computers, once you know how to tell them things, they just do them and do not get tired or bored.

And then I said to myself, the mechanical part of music, the repetitive part, the part

that must be practiced, does not interest me; therefore, I will leave that part for computers.

And that was the case, in the year 82 I said: "I will become a digital improviser".

I did not think at that time in a digital luthier [but] in a digital improviser.

In this Video you learn how to replace the iPhone XR display.

In the video description you find proper spare parts and tools.

First, we unscrew two Pentalob screws.

Now we heat up the display up to 60 °C, so that the adhesive dissolves.

Use the suction cup and flat tools to loosen the display.

Please, be patient!

Now remove three Y-screws and the cover underneath.

Immediately afterwards, you release the battery flex connection.

Then undo two more Y-screws to loosen the underlying flex cables.

Finally, remove three Y-screws and two Philips screws.

Now you remove three Philips screws and one Y-screw.

Now you carefully undo the light sensor unity.

Then you put the unit on the new display and screw it in.

Now you connect the display flex cables.

Finally you connect the battery flex connection.

Finally, close the iPhone and screw in the two Pentalob screws.
