We're all about students, service and solutions ... and here are a few upcoming events we
want to tell you about this week.
It's almost the holidays!
Do you have students that have been grieving or afraid they'll struggle during the break
because of something they're going through?
This training on December 10th is geared towards K-12 counselors, hosted by Journey of Hope.
The three-hour session includes a general grief overview and looks at ways to support
grieving students and families.
You'll also learn how to implement grief support groups in your school.
We all interpret the world through our emotions and within the context of social interactions.
After all, we're human!
But how do we anticipate and allow for human dynamics within our classrooms?
In this workshop on December 11th, we'll focus on what it means to have heightened social
and emotional needs and the added impact of students from an array of backgrounds.
Most importantly, we'll explore what a teacher can do to support the social emotional needs
of gifted learners.
On December 12th, come join us as we delve deeply into some of the ten domains of the
revised Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines.
We'll dig into a specific domain and explore strategies and resources to incorporate rich
instruction in a high-quality early childhood classroom.
And we'll discuss specific strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including struggling
students.
