Yuki's Sun.
This is a place more refreshing than the May breeze,
where the story of a kind and sparkling young girl begins.
A different kind of girl who wore jeans because they suited her the best...
and grew up in this picturesque nature, Yuki.
Yuki was an orphan.
On a snowy winter night ten years ago, she was left at the front door of an orphanage.
Note: "Yuki" is a common name for girls as well as the word for "snow" in Japanese.
Because she showed up with the snow, people decided to call her "Yuki."
Yuki didn't even know the names of her mother and father.
But Yuki felt that being an orphan freed her from being tied down rather than missing something.
She was a girl whose parents had thrown her away...
and whose only possession was the wooden cross she wore around her neck,
but despite her unfortunate situation, Yuki grew up a strong and free-spirited young girl.
All right! All clean!
Hey, you!
Help me!
Teacher!
She often surprised people with how energetic she was,
but she was a purehearted girl.
A girl whose heart was filled with a rare and exceptional level of kindness.
But she had her strange quirks as well.
She'd get so happy talking to people that she'd hit them!
But one day, Yuki's life unexpectedly changed.
She was sent to a new orphanage that was run by the affluent Iwabuchi family.
Despite feeling out of place in her new surroundings,
the kind people at the orphanage helped Yuki adapt to her new life.
Her happy days continued at the orphanage.
It's time you take responsibility for your actions!
Why'd you do it?!
Now it's my problem! Why'd you do it?!
Get outta here! Now it's my problem!
Get outta here!
Get in already.
With the sudden violent attack leaving the Iwabuchi home in ruins, Yuki was on her own again.
She stood by and supported her friend who was overcome with grief.
She then discovered a hint to the secret surrounding her birth in a thing close to her little chest.
Mister! Mister!
Mister!
Don't die, Mister!
My father...
I don't need a mother!
T-This cross...
Despite living through such sadness, Yuki grew up to be a strong woman.
A young woman whose cheerfulness rivaled the sun's...
and who had the odd quirk of hitting people when she got too happy.
Within Hokkaido's majestic and beautiful nature,
a cheerful young girl gallantly searches out the truth about her mother.
A moving story about love, Yuki's Sun!
Mom!
Yuki!
