Waching daily Nov 8 2018

(upbeat music)

- My name is Adam Eli.

It is Election Night, Midterms 2018.

We are at the LGBT center with Voices4

and basically we're having a big party

because 2016 Election Night was

so incredibly traumatic,

we didn't want people to be alone.

We wanted them to be surrounded by

community, friends, and family.

Come on!

Serena, can you tell us, why are you here tonight?

- We use the privilege with voting

and it really shouldn't be

because it's something I have a right to do.

Actually showing up to something

and like checking the boxes to lead

toward the next right action, it feels right,

it really does feel right.

- [Adam] What would you say that

the issues that were most important to you were

during this election cycle?

- I would definitely say LGBT rights,

but also gun violence.

I just feel like that's just like such a big issue

and no one's doing anything about it.

- [Black] A lot of trans rights are

on the verge of being erased.

No matter how you present,

your gender is what you claim it to be.

Trans lives matter and they will not be erased.

- I want you to look at who's representing you in office

and if they're not doing the job

that you want them to do,

you have a voice not only to vote,

but you have an opportunity to run for office yourself.

Because your voice is loud and it is proud

and it can shine greater and farther

than any hate speech every could and ever would.

(cheering)

- Regardless of how it turns out tonight,

I think that it definitely stirs

some action within our generation

and I feel like it actually put out

a sense of urgency that I think

that we needed to have.

- I think that young people sometimes

don't realize the power that they have

as citizens and when you turn 18

to like sort of take initiative

and sort of educate yourself, but I think that's changing.

- How does it feel to be someone

who is really politically engaged

but not have the ability to vote?

- It feels especially frustrating

when I hear people say that they don't

wanna come out in the rain to vote,

when they don't have the time to vote,

because there are so many people

who can't vote for whatever reason

because we're too young, we're undocumented.

The choices you make effect us.

- Regardless of what happens this evening,

what are our next steps as a community?

- Literally supporting each other.

See how you can volunteer either at your local shelter.

See how you can volunteer within

your local activist groups,

see how you can advocate for those around.

- I mean after tonight I definitely think

we should still get involved, continue to vote.

Don't let this be like the last time you get involved

because don't forget we also have 2020 coming up

and this is just like half the battle.

F1 news: Mark Webber explains 'awkward' Daniel Ricciardo situation as fears revealed - Duration: 2:24.

F1 news: Mark Webber explains 'awkward' Daniel Ricciardo situation as fears revealed   Ricciardo announced in August that he will leave Red Bull for pitlane rivals Renault during the winter. But he has showed no sign of not being committed to the Milton Keynes-based team in the wake of that decision. took pole position at the Mexican Grand Prix, much to the frustration of team-mate Max Verstappen. Although he was once again impacted by Red Bull's lack of reliance and subsequently opened up about his dismay.

Ricciardo suggested in the heat of the moment that he would be happy to sit out the upcoming Brazilian and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix. And Webber has now revealed his fears for his compatriot, who he believes is looking forward to hanging up his helmet for good. "I think it's quite obvious he can't wait for the season to be over, which is a little bit of a concern," Webber told. "I don't want him to fall out of love with the sport.

"I just think that really tests your mettle. "He'll be questioning the sport in his head. "There's not too many people to put an arm around your shoulder. "Only the tough survive and he knows that.     "He's got to buckle up and keep going if he wants to bounce back with Renault next year. "He's made his bed over there with Renault, which I think is a weird decision, but that's what he wants to do because he wants a change of environment.

"But it really can test how much he actually is enjoying the sport." Webber also explained how Ricciardo's final months at Red Bull will have gone after he opted to join Renault for the 2019 campaign.   "It's always a tricky scenario," Webber added. "It's like still living with your wife, but you are divorced. "It's a very awkward scenario to be in." Ricciardo will be hoping his Red Bull car does not let him down again at this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Everton team news: Predicted Everton line up vs Chelsea – Mina to start, Baines update - Duration: 2:57.

Everton manager Marco Silva is set to hand summer signing Yerry Mina his full competitive debut when the Toffees take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

The Colombian centre-back made a substitute appearance last weekend against Brighton then played the full 90 minutes in a friendly against Gor Mahia on Tuesday

Mina was involved in the opening two goals during the 4-0 win over the Kenyan champions and received some valuable minutes ahead of his expected first Premier League start

The 24-year-old is likely to line up alongside Michael Keane in central defence with Kurt Zouma ineligible against his parent club

Meanwhile, Leighton Baines was a late withdrawal from the starting line-up set to play at Goodison Park in midweek

Everton have not released an update on the reason for this change which saw Beni Baningime come into the XI

However, reports on social media clim the left-back was seen wearing his tracksuit getting into his car 20 minutes before kick-off, suggesting the problem was not to do with Baines' fitness

Regardless, Lucas Digne is still expected to start against Chelsea having impressed since his arrival from Barcelona

Seamus Coleman should line up on the other side of defence while Andre Gomes will partner Idrissa Gueye in midfield

Richarlison has been stationed as a lone striker in recent weeks ahead of an attacking trio featuring Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard

However, young winger Ademola Lookman is pushing for a start and could come in at the expense of either Walcott or Bernard

Finally, Silva will have been pleased to see James McCarthy feature on Tuesday as he continues his recovery from a horrific leg break, although the Irish midfielder is still short of match fitness

Everton predicted line-up vs Chelsea (4-2-3-1) Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Mina, Digne; Gueye, Gomes; Walcott, Sigurdsson, Bernard; Richarlison
