The FA brought in lip readers and linguistics experts to build a case against Mourinho, who in turn enlisted his own language experts to fight the charge
Mourinho's linguistics expert argued the words used by the United boss were not directed at anyone in particular and were a "personal, inwardly-directed expression of relief, happiness and determination" at the result
The United boss also claimed the words he used were inaudible and could only be understood by people with lip-reading skills and a deep expertise in Portuguese colloquialisms

United went down 1-0 to the Serie A leaders at Old Trafford a fortnight ago, a game in which Jose Mourinho admitted the gulf in class between the two sides was huge
The Reds have the chance to avenge that defeat tonight when the two sides meet again in Turin, with striker Rashford admitting United must show what they have learned from that chastening defeat
"The home game was a game with a lot of lessons," said Rashford. "It was a game where we could have lost 2-0, drew the game 1-1 or won the game 2-1
"I think in that game we left it a bit too late, but we learnt from it and we go again
"There have been times when we've got it right and there will be times when we get it right again and times when we don't, but we have to understand that it doesn't always go to plan, and we have to be ready for that
"I think it's good to have the two games quite close together, because the first game is quite fresh in a lot of people's minds
