From song of the summer to the silver screen, The Chainsmokers are set to produce

a movie based on their 2017 hit single "Paris." Drew Taggart and Alex Pall are developing

a feature based on the popular track with Mickey Rapkin set to write the screenplay

for Tri-Star. Rapkin was the author who wrote the book that was the inspiration for

the Pitch Perfect franchise. The Chainsmokers will produce the feature through

their newly formed Kick The Habit Productions banner. Taggart and Pall put out a

joint statement Monday saying,

Idris Elba Named Sexiest Man Alive By 'People Magazine' | THR News - Duration: 1:36.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this year's Sexiest Man Alive is… Idris Elba!"

The 'People' have spoken and now its official, Idris Elba is crowned the sexiest

man alive...which honestly is not a surprise. 'People Magazine' unveiled their annual

issue on their Twitter with the 46-year-old actor gracing the cover, making him the

third man of color to be honored with the title, following the footsteps of Denzel

Washington and Dwayne Johnson who have also been named Sexiest Man Alive

in the past. The announcement was made on 'The Tonight Show' Monday night.

Host Jimmy Fallon revealed the cover, which refers to Elba as a "sweet, smoldering,

superstar", and had some fun with it:

"Can we see a little smolder?" "Smolder? How's that?"

Ugh sweet, smoldering, sexy… is this man perfect? Idris I love you.

The hunky actor called the cover "amazing" and gave a shout out to 'People Magazine'

for the honor before flexing his perfectly sculpted biceps. After accepting the

accolade, Elba posted a tweet to his Twitter page saying, "Who'd have thought it!

Thank you @people & all the fans for naming me #SexiestManAlive. Don't forget to

grab your issue this week. I'm honoured & thankful." And what's beauty without

brains? The actor used his "Sexiest Man Alive" platform to talk about the importance

of voting, adding to his original tweet saying, "What's even more important is your vote

in the midterm elections. Your vote can make a difference!"
