Waching daily Nov 6 2018

Billboard's 13th annual Women In Music event will take place December 6 in a return

to New York City and we can now officially announce Ariana Grande as our

2018 Billboard Woman of the Year.

2018 has been huge for Grande as the pop superstar launched top 40 hits like

"God is a Woman," "Breathin'" and "No Tears Left to Cry" onto the Billboard Hot 100,

while seeing her album Sweetener hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earn the

largest streaming week ever for a pop album by a female artist upon its release.

Grande's remarkable year transcended the charts, as she used her voice to

support worthwhile causes as well. She participated in March For Our Lives in support

of gun control legislation, and has been an outspoken advocate for mental

health awareness, just yesterday tweeting…

Grande also helped to organize the One Love Manchester benefit concert in response

to aid the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing, which was broadcast to

50 countries and raised more than $23 million. With this year's honor, Grande now joins

the likes of past Woman of the Year recipients Selena Gomez, Madonna, Lady Gaga

and Taylor Swift. The ceremony and red-carpet pre-show will be broadcast live on

Twitter from 7 to 10pm eastern on December 6 with additional honorees being announced

in the coming weeks. For more, head to billboard.com and until next time,

Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho asks board to sign Alex Sandro immediately, two deals eyed - Duration: 2:35.

Brazil international Sandro is a long-term target for the Red Devils. Sandro, 27, was tipped to head to the Premier League in the summer, with United and Chelsea chasing the left-back

However, Juventus ended up keeping hold of the defender, much to the frustration of Mourinho

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Mourinho is desperate for United to spend big in the January transfer window

They say the United boss has asked the Old Trafford board to sign Sandro immediately

Sandro was expected to sign a new long-term contract with Juventus, however, the Italian giants are yet to get their star left-back to commit to the club

Calciomercato add that Mourinho also wants Sandro's Juventus team-mate Mehdi Benatia

Mourinho was desperate to sign a centre-back in the summer. United tried to sign Leicester's Harry Maguire, Tottenham star Toby Alderweireld and Diego Godin of Atletico Madrid

However, Red Devils executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward refused to back his manger in the summer transfer window

United ended up completing three deals before the start of the season, with Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant heading to Old Trafford

Mourinho has cut a frustrated figure this season but the arrivals of Sandro and Benatia would lift the Special One's spirits

United had their joint-worst start to a Premier League season this time out. The Red Devils find themselves nine points behind league leaders Manchester City after just 11 games

Mourinho's men face Sandro and Juventus tomorrow night in the Champions League (8pm kick off)

Arsenal news: Liverpool result MASSIVE because of Man City and Chelsea - Darren Fletcher - Duration: 2:55.

That is according to Stoke midfielder and Manchester United legend Darren Fletcher

Arsenal drew 1-1 with Liverpool at the Emirates thanks to an Alexandre Lacazette equaliser 10 minutes from time

The Gunners are now unbeaten in their last 14 games in all competitions since the 3-2 defeat to Chelsea in August

The only other loss Emery has suffered as Arsenal boss so far was the opening day of the season against reigning champions Manchester City

And Fletcher claims getting a point against Liverpool quietens the doubters after those two early defeats

"I think it's massive, even though it's only a draw, obviously coming from behind," he said on Sky Sports

"But on the back of the Chelsea and Man City games where they lost and people were saying 'some old Arsenal'

"Obviously it was early in the season but they've been on a winning run since then and look like they've improved

"So I think it keeps the unbeaten run going and I think it was a positive performance against a very good Liverpool side

" Emery has clearly instructed his players to play out from the back in his first few months as head coach

And Fletcher believes it is returning to a similar style Arsene Wenger used to play several years ago

"I think so yeah (there is a bit more about Arsenal)," he continued. "I think they look a lot more organised

"I think Arsenal were always free-flowing and open but I think there is a little bit more structure about them now, obviously he wants them to play out from the back

"There was a time where Arsenal got away from that, even though we talk about Arsenal as this nice footballing team, they got away from playing from the goalkeeper and they went direct and long and played from there

"So I think there is a new style and they seem to be improving and I've been very impressed with them
