The Gunners have been eyeing MLS ace Miguel Almiron. But thrifty Unai Emery won't need to burst the bank to secure his services
The Sun say he's available for a relatively modest £11m from Atlanta United. Almiron is regarded as one of hottest prospects Stateside
The Paraguay international has hit 12 goals in 32 appearances. Emery isn't the only suitor though
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is in desperate need of reinforcements and is also working on a strict budget
The Toon have endured a tough start to the season and want fresh faces in January
In north London, Emery has earmarked Almiron to fill the void when Ramsey packs his bags
The Wales international reportedly wants the same wage as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season
The duo earn around £200,000-per-week at the north London giants. But despite the hefty salaries that's still considerably less than Mesut Ozil's pay packet
The Germany international pockets a staggering £350,000-per-week. Arsenal will look to offload experienced midfielder Ramsey in January rather than lose him for nothing come the summer
Manchester United are keen, along with Juventus and Chelsea. Former Chelsea and Aston Villa midfielder Andy Townsend thinks Ramsey has been heavily influenced by Ozil's contract
Townsend told The Debate on Sky Sports: "It has to have. It's a factor. "They're all big boys, and they all know that in a dressing room certain players are going to get a lot more than others
"That's across the board at every single club "But I think when you're pitched in virtually the same position on the pitch, Aaron's in there at the same spot as Ozil and he's probably thinking that when he's seeing his output and if they're paying Ozil that amount, he will never be in a stronger position than he is now in terms of age, experience and everything else
"It's a business and sometimes you have to stand firm. "Aaron's never been blessed with great pace, he's 27 and at the peak of his powers, he's not going to get any quicker, and he might not actually get a tremendous amount slower
He's that sort of player to me. "About three or four years ago he had a really strong season in terms of goals, he was well into double figures
"He's always chipping away at six or seven a season, he could probably do a little bit better than that
"He's as productive as Ozil, I think, in terms of goal output he's easily on a par with him so if I was Ramsey right now and Arsenal were offering me a third of what the German's getting, I wouldn't take it either
