Hi guys!
What's up?
I will tell you today, what I did illegal in North Korea!
It all started when we went shopping in a supermarket.
Yes, my friends.
I did shoppings in North Korea!
At this supermarket, filming is not permitted,
so, unfortunately for you, I have no picture from there,
but I have a very good story!
So, stay tuned and listen!
This store is the only place where you can exchange money in local currency.
In other places where I was shopping,
I paid with euros, dollars or yuan.
In this store, we were able to change money in local currency, which is called won,
and with this money we shopped.
Here I have had a really special experience, even for me!
And that means something, when I say it, because I traveled in many places,
and nowhere else has happened to me like here!
Namely!
Pay attention!
The store was very crowded!
I found out later, that the next day was a national holiday, and that's why so many people were shopping!
I stood in the queue, to pay, about 30 minutes.
The whole thing, lasted a long time.
But, what was the most interesting thing,
besides having seen so many people in a store,
who bought so many things,
and I thought their shops would be quite empty, just as ours were in communism era,
but, apparently, it is not.
Well, it seems.
I was only in this store, i was not in other stores.
I don't know how it is, in generally speaking.
I was only in one supermarket.
But the thing that surprised me the most, was the fact that
although I was dressed in a traditional costume,
obviously I did not look like them,
However, no one, but no one, looks at me!
For the first time in my life, I felt invisible!
It was like, I was one of them.
The world around me, simply does not notice me,
they were not looking at me, they were seeing their own business.
Although it was full of people, it was very crowded
nobody looked at me!
And another interesting thing, what happened here.
I wanted to buy sweets and alcoholic beverages.
And I did not know exactly what I was buying, because the labels were in Korean.
Everything I bought, I bought looking at pictures.
But at some drinks, I asked a woman who worked there, a few things about those drinks.
For example, I asked what fruit contained a drink that I wanted to buy.
And she was telling me the name of the company, which was Capisa, or something like that.
I have asked her, what fruit is this?
And her answer was, Capisa!
Like you asked, Fanta orange, what fruit does it contain?
And you got the answer, Fanta!
Ok, i see that is Fanta, but from what fruit is it?
Fanta!
That's how it was our talk!
Another thing!
I bought something I thought was beer,
and I asked her if is really beer, but here, the total break!
She did not understand me at all!
But a lady passed by us,
and said something, so on the way,
which I think is beer or something,
and then the lady understood what I wanted, and she told me in English, yes, it is beer.
But what remained in my mind was this.
So that woman, while she was walking, did not even stop, told, to the lady I was talking, only one word,
and went further.
So, she heard our conversation, she understood, and told the other woman, what I wanted.
It was very strange there!
Even at the cash register, I was sitting there, watching people in the eye,
and no one looks at me!
I was invisible!
Strange thing.
Ok.
I made my purchases.
I bought many things.
And on all of these things I paid the incredible amount of,
144.040 won!
Meaning 120 yuan,
meaning 15 euros!
What do you say?
For all these things, only 15 euros,
how it sounds?
Expensive, cheap?
But the interesting thing is that, frankly, I don't really know what I bought!
I know what I wanted to buy, namely, sweets and drinks.
If that's what I bought, I'm not too sure!
But we will find out, when I'll try them!
So, until then, stay tuned and don't change the channel.
All of these things, I've already tried,
but not on my the channel, but on Bogdan Hriscu's channel.
I went to his home, and we made two videos together.
In one video we tried the sweets and in the other, we try the drinks.
I'll leave in the description, the links to these two videos, so you can see
how it was my collaboration with Bogdan Hriscu,
and what tastes, these sweets and drinks, had,
and, if I even bought, sweets and alcohol.
The videos are very cool, and I advise you to take a look there, as well.
Ok.
This was my shopping experience, at a supermarket, in North Korea!
But what I did illegal there?
I tell you now!
There, you could buy with the local currency, but,
you could not keep it!
You had to change the local currency, which left from shopping, back to your national currency, euro, dollars etc
But I didn't do that!
I have kept two North Korean banknotes!
This is Illegal!
Is not allowed!
But I risked, I took these two banknotes,
I hid them in the bag with personal hygiene products,
and I hoped that at customs, they would not look there.
But they searched, but I was lucky, and they did not find them.
So I brought home with me, a 1.000 won bill
you can see how it looks,
and one 2.000 won bill.
I repeat, this is not allowed!
Still, I did that!
I thought that I took only two bills, which, as you already know, are worth nothing,
what can happen to me, even if they catch me with them?
In the worst case, take them to me, right?
But it's good that I was not caught, and I could bring them to the country, and I have a great memory!
I will never forget from where I have these bills and what happened to me there!
Because it was the first time in my life, when I felt invisible, and I was totally ignored!
Strange feeling, very strange!
This was the story with the supermarket!
That's what I did illegal in North Korea, I took two local bills.
I'm Adi vlog.
This is the illegal thing that I did in North Korea!
Kiss kiss and goodbye!
