Ep 8-, From Egadi Islands to Nord Sicily

In this chapter we will leave behind the Egades Islands

To discover the coast of Sicily

But before we will sail among some islets

We will pass by the last of the inhabited islands

From Egadi Islands, Levanzo

Then we head to the port of Trapani

The Egades Islands live anchored in the past

Time stood years ago

And us, just as if we had entered a tunnel of time

We have already lost the notion of the days

I no longer remember, how long ago we sailed through the great natural reserve, of Egades Islands

Here the village of Levanzo and in the background it begins to see the Island of Marettimo

After visiting the city of Trapani

And loading the boat with supplies

Today we will visit Erice

This beautiful city is just 14 km by road from Trapani

But as it is necessary to ascend 750 meters

We will go on a modern funicular that offers spectacular views

of the west coast of Sicily, the city of Trapani and the Aegadian islands

On clear days we can see the coast of Tunisia

Erice is inhabited from the upper Paleolithic

Was an important Arab city and then Roman

Currently with its narrow streets

And with a mixture of all the architectural styles that have inhabited it

Is a clear example of a Sicilian city

The sea calls us,

have been a few days to do tourism

But we already want to sail

We leave the Trapani port

We head towards the north coast of Sicily

We will pass Capo San Vito and visit the town of Castellmare del Golfo

The days pass, it's sunny and good weather

The boat is making its way

where are we going?

We realize that this no longer matters

we just sail!

An immense sense of relaxation and tranquility

has taken hold of us

The world we knew is far

Friends, family, problems

Everything is so far away...

It's just us and the sea

Wearing clothes no longer makes sense

We eat when we are hungry, we swim when it is hot...

And we love each other,

How simple life can be !!!

Now I feel that, our world is the sea
