After sealing a deal for Naby Keita yesterday, attention has turned to other targets and Van Dijk remains a player of interest for Liverpool.

Southampton have been adamant the Dutch defender, who has been exiled from the squad due to his wish to leave, will not depart for any price this summer. But Liverpool fans on Twitter strongly think the circumstances have changed.

A private jet is said to have arrived at John Lennon airport this afternoon and the people on the flight were picked up in Mercedes club van.

The jet which landed was claimed to be a Cessna 525B CitationJet CJ3, which is similar to the plane Van Dijk posted a picture from in June.

But the theory does not end there with Liverpool fans determining that the van is the same one which picked up Jurgen Klopp, Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson from the airport when they arrived to complete Liverpool deals.

And it appears they are right with the van spotted today having the same registration number as Salah's supposedly on the way to Stanley Park.

One fan joked: "LFC Twitter would have found Bin Laden in 15 minutes if he had been linked with Liverpool. Another said: "What a time to be alive. Tracking planes, CSIing hell out a blurry pic of a people carrier.

And supporter Aaman Khan tweeted: "Only the best fans in the world compare club cars and plane interiors ffs.

At a time when corporate leaders have been highly critical of President Donald Trump over his response to deadly violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, Berkshire Hathaway Chairman and CEO Warren Buffett has remained quiet, telling CNBC on Wednesday he tries not to mix business and politics.

Im not in the business of attacking any president, nor do I think I should be, Buffett said in a Squawk Alley interview.

Earlier this month, a deluge of CEOs distanced themselves from Trump in the wake of Charlottesville by leaving White House business advisory councils, which were later dissolved.

The tipping point for corporate America seemed to come Aug. 15 when the president angrily doubled down on his original comments about the deadly rally, and again blamed both the white nationalists and the counterprotesters for the mayhem.

Trumps critics felt he put neo-Nazis on the same moral footing as the demonstrators who gathered to denounce their racist views.

As a supporter of Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race, Buffett said he was disappointed by the election result. I worked for Hillary. I raised money for Hillary. I voted for Hillary. I was disappointed when she lost..

But Buffett argued, as he has in the past, that this country will move forward [under Trump. ] It is important that government functions well.

I wont say if my candidate doesnt win, and probably half the time they havent, Im going to take my ball and go home, he said.

Earlier on CNBC, Buffett said he does not think the economy feels like its growing at 3 percent, a level Trump and his administration have set as a goal for what they view as their business-friendly economic agenda of tax cuts and infrastructure spending.

Buffett, who turned 87 on Wednesday, said hes lived through 15 of the 45 presidents. Forty-five presidents of the United States and I lived under a third of them, he said. I bought stocks under 14 of the 15.

The first one was [President Herbert] Hoover. I was only 2 when he left so I hadnt gotten active at that point.

But [ Franklin Delano] Roosevelt was next. And I bought stocks under him, even though my dad thought it was the end of the world when he got elected..

Buffett was in New York City on Wednesday for a private lunch with the winner of an annual auction to benefit Glide, a San Francisco-based homeless charity. The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, paid $2,679,001.

Everton transfer news: Kenneth Zohore wanted by Toffees and Brighton

The Toffees will attempt to beat fellow Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion to the player's signature after the top flight newcomers failed to meet Cardiff's valuation with two earlier bids.

According to ESPN, Everton boss Ronald Koeman is keen to bring in another striker to bolster his attacking options, and sees the Danish under-21 international as a good addition to his new-look side.

Zohore, 23, joined the Welsh outfit from Belgian side KV Kortrijk last summer after a successful loan spell with the club and finished as Cardiff's top scorer with 12 goals.

He has flourished since Neil Warnock's arrival, however, has failed to score since the opening day of the campaign against Burton Albion.
