 Manchester United took a huge step towards qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a shock 2-1 win over Juventus in Turin

 The Red Devils stunned the Group H leaders with a Juan Mata free-kick and a late own-goal from Alex Sandro, cancelling out Cristiano Ronaldo's outrageous volley

 Juve had enjoyed a perfect record in the Champions League ahead of last night's match, but United are now just two points behind the Italian champions and realistically need one more win to qualify for the next round

 Jose Mourinho clashed with several opposition players after the final whistle, having cupped his ear to home fans at the Allianz Stadium

 The Portuguese boss has been criticised for his actions, particularly in light of the bust-up with Chelsea coach Marco Ianni following the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge last month

 However, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is obviously not too bothered about Mourinho's behaviour judging by their reunion at Manchester Airport

 The pair, who have reportedly often been at loggerheads over transfer policy since Mourinho's arrival at Old Trafford in 2016, were seen shaking hands as the United squad returned home in the early hours

 Woodward had a big grin on his face after the impressive away victory, although Mourinho looks slightly uncomfortable about the impromptu photo opportunity

 Several players were spotted looking tired as they arrived home, having flown through the night, while Paul Pogba didn't travel with the rest of the squad after being called for a standard drugs test

 Next up for United is the Manchester derby against City at the Etihad on Sunday. The Red Devils are currently unbeaten in four Premier League fixtures, having staged something of a revival following the sobering 3-1 defeat to West Ham in September

 United are still only seventh in the table and nine points off Pep Guardiola's league leaders, although the ship has steadied after a turbulent start to the season

Coronation Street's Kate Connor and Rana Nazir split over shock baby news

During Monday night's Coronation Street double bill, Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) and Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia) proposed to each other after their surprises went wrong.

They've been a love bubble ever since and celebrated their engagement in tonight's visits to Weatherfield.

But it looks like they could be facing a huge hurdle, in the form of a baby.

Kate is eager for them to have a child of their own given her dad's illness, but Rana isn't so keen.

She told him: "We haven't ruled it out.

With Zeedan it just didn't feel right.

Good job I trusted my instincts." But Imran wasn't so sure, saying: "Before Zeedan always, but sticky hands and snotty noses – that is not you." Rana said: "It's different when it's your own.

Me and Kate can still travel and have adventures.

"We're not talking now, this minute, we're saying when we're settled down." Seemingly trying to convince herself, she went on: "Kate might go off the idea.

She might not be able to get pregnant.

We don't have a crystal ball." Imran warned: "Well, these little differences, they start off as cracks, but five years down the line you wake up and realise the whole roof's caved in.

You're not worried she'll leave you?" Rana laughed off the idea, saying they'd just got engaged, but Imran was still concerned.

He told his sister: "I'm sorry, it's just Kate seems to have her heart set on the idea.

 But the MEN put that to bed by insisting the reported meetings never happened. United have, instead, always backed Mourinho to come good

 And last night's Champions League victory over Juventus shows their faith may yet be repaid

 Meanwhile, Mourinho caused controversy last night by mocking the Juventus crowd following their European win

 And the United boss has now explained his actions.  "I didn't offend anyone at the end," Mourinho said

 "I just made a gesture that I wanted to hear them louder. "I probably shouldn't have done it, and with a cool head I wouldn't have done it

 "But with my family insulted, including my Inter family, I reacted like this."
