It is almost November!
It is time to start preparing for the Day of the Dead,
also known as Dia de los Muertos in Mexico.
Dia de los Muertos is a celebration where close friends and families get together to
celebrate the lives of their loved ones, that passed away...
It is a time to decorate the graves with flowers,
the most popular for this celebration being the Cempasúchil flowers.
As a community, this year in The West we want to prepare the amazing festival
for the Lady of the Dead, La Calavera Catrina!
We need you to find as many flowers as you can!
This year, flowers can be collected by doing jobs, duels, quests, fort battles, adventures,
and construction work.
Of course, there's also the opportunity to receive flowers from friends or to send some
via the friendsbar.
Here you can also check your flower's log.
And remember, these flowers can bring you some great prizes like: avatar parts, chests,
a flower pot and even a new set —the dead hawk dancer set.
Just like in the past years, there will be five special community rewards to unlock,
which include chests, bonds, the rivers which turn red,
an achievement, and "The Headless Horseman" questline.
And that's not all—we have a cards game waiting for you.
At each stage of the card game, you have to make a 50-50 decision and select one out of
two cards: behind one card is the Aztec Sun and behind the other is the Grim Reaper.
Pick the "correct" card and you have the option to continue playing or cash in a prize.
If you have bad luck.... well, that's game over for you, but you'll still receive
25 flowers for your efforts.
There are five stages in total, roughly corresponding to the regular common, uncommon,
rare, or very rare categories.
If you draw the wrong card at any stage, it is possible to cheat death
for a cost of 25, 50, 100, 200, or 400 nuggets.
Starting a new game on the same day will cost you 25 nuggets.
At stage 5, you can use nuggets to exchange your reward with another random reward.
Do you want to have an opportunity to collect the very old avatar parts?
The old parts of the avatars from the previous Day of the Dead events will
be available in the Shop at the end of the event.
