Waching daily Nov 5 2018

That is according to Manchester United legend and Stoke midfielder Darren Fletcher

United head into the clash on Sunday as underdogs against Pep Guardiola's unbeaten Manchester City

Jose Mourinho's Red Devils currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, having lost three of their opening 11 games

However, they are unbeaten in four matches after the last-gasp 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday

After their record-breaking campaign last season, City once again look destined to be challenging for top spot this term

But United inflicted one of City's two defeats last season - the 3-2 win in April

United came from two goals down at half time to win the game, with Paul Pogba bagging a brace

Mourinho's side have also come from behind to claim points in three of their last four league games this season

And Fletcher believes his former team can take confidence from April's turnaround into Sunday's match

"Probably more confident off the back of last season, that fixture there where they did well and came back," he said on Sky Sports

"Obviously you look at City and they're starting to hit form, especially the goals they were scoring this weekend

"They'll be a real worry going to the best team in the league, one of the best teams in the country, it will be very difficult

"But the thing is Manchester United went there last season and proved they can do it and they'll take great confidence from that

"They'll look to the reasons why, a fantastic second-half performance. "And they'll try and tap into that again

Arsenal news: Unai Emery's Gunners must improve THIS to secure top four finish - Duration: 4:07.

That is what the statistics suggest 11 games into the 2018/19 Premier League season

Arsenal sit fifth in the table with 23 points - four points better off than they were last term

There is a positive atmosphere at the Emirates after picking up all of those 23 points from the last possible 27

It is only the early season losses to Manchester City and Chelsea which have halted Unai Emery's side in their claim to be title challengers

On Saturday evening, the Gunners showed they are capable of sparring with the league's elite when they drew 1-1 with Liverpool, who are four points better off than them in third

There has been one common theme throughout Arsenal games which could bite them in the back if Emery does not find a way to rectify it, however

If the league table was based on half-time scorelines, Arsenal would be languishing in 15th with nine points

The Gunners have not led in any match at half-time this season, scoring only 24 per cent (six) of their 25 goals in the first 45 minutes

Presumably, Emery's half-time team talks are doing the trick, though, as Arsenal are only second to Manchester City in second-half results

Based on those scorelines, Arsenal would have 25 points, with surprise packages Leicester and Wolves also turning on the gas when the clock ticks down

Arsenal tend to do their scoring at the beginning and end of the second half. The Gunners have scored seven goals between minutes 46-60, as much as they have from 76-90

Not a team to shoot out of the blocks, Arsenal have only scored once in the first 15 minutes this season, when Shkodran Mustafi netted against Cardiff in their 3-2 win

The reason for Arsenal's slow starts may be down to the specific, patient build-up which Emery demands from his players

From the first game of the season against City, there was a clear philosophy to pass along the grass from back to front, which requires understanding and chemistry from the players to execute successfully

Thus, it may take some time for the team to kickstart their performances, such is the complexity of the tactics Emery lays out

After Arsenal defeated Sporting Lisbon 1-0 in their last Europa League fixture thanks to a 77th-minute goal from Danny Welbeck, Emery admitted: "We cannot impose our ideas in the first 45 minutes

"But in the second half we have the chance and the opportunity to change the result

"I think we did that in the 45 minutes of the second half. But we need to continue finding the solution for us to be better in the first halves

"We spoke in the dressing room before the start of the match today about our objectives

And one objective is this." Although Arsenal are well-placed in their pursuit of a top-four finish this season, they will need to change their unsustainable first half showings

Man Utd news: Chris Smalling reveals which Sir Alex quality Jose Mourinho has rediscovered - Duration: 3:07.

Smalling is one of only six current players in the United squad to have played under the legendary Ferguson, who won 13 league titles with the club

One of the hallmarks of success during that era was United's iconic comebacks, from their 1999 Champions League win against Bayern Munich to Michael Owen's 96th-minute winner in the Manchester Derby in 2009

The Red Devils have rediscovered some of that fighting spirit of late when they have conceded first in games

When Jose Mourinho's job looked on the line against Newcastle in early October, United produced a thrilling comeback to win 3-2

Manchester United also recovered a week later when only an injury-time equaliser stopped them claiming three points against unbeaten Chelsea

Saturday was another exhibition of fighting spirit, as United turned around a dreadful first half away to Bournemouth to win 2-1 in added time

The recent determination from players has been likened to Ferguson's great sides, on which Smalling said: "We're showing that attitude, never giving in and you can see that coming out

"No matter how bad that first half was, that second half we all believed we can go and win

"It's a great feeling and it's bringing us closer together. "As games are getting tougher and tougher they're closer than ever, and it's often coming down to fine margins, who can give that added burst in the last five minutes

We're going to win a lot of points that way." United - seemingly always on the verge of a crisis this season - face Juventus and Manchester City this week in what is the most testing matchweek of their season

"We know we're going into a very tough week now," Smalling admitted. "But we can come out with some good results and it can be seen as a good month, considering [October] was probably one of our toughest months

"We have to stick together. This is a club that is talked about more than any other

"As players need to stick together and ride out the tough times and stay together in the good and try to keep them flowing as much as we can

"We knew that three points was a must because we have to move up that table."

Chelsea news: Pedro makes Eden Hazard claim and reveals honest thoughts on Alvaro Morata - Duration: 2:49.

Hazard returned from injury as a substitute in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday

The Belgian made an instant impact with an assist immediately after coming on. And Pedro was happy to see him back in a a Chelsea shirt

"He's the most important player here. He's a star for us," he told Chelsea TV. "Eden is playing very good

It's very good news for us that he's in very good form." Morata hit a brace in the victory at Stamford Bridge and now has four strikes in his last four Premier League games

That is as many as he managed in all of his previous 23 appearances in the top flight

And Pedro was full of praise for his international team-mate. "He has the mentality to score goals and help the team, that's the best way for him," he added

"We are happy because he's a very good striker. "He runs a lot and scores goals, now he's in a very good moment so this is the way for him

"Scoring goals is very important for him and the team." Maurizio Sarri's unbeaten side once again showcased the strength in depth he has in midfield

Sarri opted to start with Ross Barkley alongside ever-present N'Golo Kante and Jorginho in a midfield three

Mateo Kovacic came off the bench and has also shone when called upon since his loan move from Real Madrid

Meanwhile, veteran Cesc Fabregas and youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek have had to be content with mainly substitute appearances this season

But Pedro thinks competition for places can only be a good thing. "It's very difficult for Maurizio to choose the right decision but that's good for the team, it makes us strong on the pitch," he said

"Also it's good to have options. Ruben is in very good form, also Cesc, Jorginho, Kovacic, Barkley, so it's very good for the team
