Creator Spotlight featuring Beardmonkey - Cities Skylines News 7 - Duration: 12:28.

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening I am The Sheik and welcome to Skylines News 7 your weekly update on everything

City Skylines in 30 minutes or less.

Today we'll share what's going on Around the Nation talk about a new guide on the workshop about the Industries DLC,

spotlight Beardmonkey and look at the top assets in the Steam Workshop but first, here's the news. Earlier this week

Strictoaster one of the masterminds behind the Cities Global

Build-off took to Twitter and ask for your help. The global

Build-Off team is looking to you to help them improve the event for the future. If

you want to give your feedback please fill out the survey he's put together the link to the survey is in the description below. As

first reported by renowned City Skylines YouTuber Skibitth on Twitter there is a new

extractor tool for all MoveIt! exports. MoveIt! Extractor, is made by Europolis and can be found at

extractor.site that link will also be in the description below.

According to Skibitth, this tool is simple to use just select a district from your city and export it with MoveIt!,

past the exported file to a friend,

he will then drag that file to the MoveIt! extractor tool and he will get all the assets you used and subscribe to them.

Then he can import that to his map, if you have any questions please reach out to Europolis

@europolis3 on twitter

Skibitth also announced he will be starting a new series. Little France will hit YouTube on Tuesday.

Is the new Industries DLC production chain demands causing you to rage quit like this gamer?

Not to worry because Cities Skylines self-help an

asset creator guru Avanya has posted a balancing the production chain guide on the Steam Workshop.

In this guide she provides the secret sauce on how to balance out the

production chain of the new industrial areas so extractors aren't complaining about no customers,

processors aren't complaining about missing resources despite full storages right next to them and

finished goods reach your commercial instead of getting exported while commercial imports.

Key sections of the guide include: storage buildings basics, using storage buildings, placement of storage buildings

and interactions with zoned buildings. On behalf of the Skylines Nation, thank you Avanya for all you do for the community.

The link to the guide is in the description below.

Now it is time to take a look Around the Nation remember if you want to see your work featured in Around the Nation?

Marble Mountain's economy is going to receive a big boost with a number of unique

industries opening up and giving the residents of the fledgling town plenty of opportunity to put bread on the table.

This is just the first step of a larger strategic plan from

2.20 incorporated to make Marble Mountain a titan of industry.

The crater project in Aurelia has taken on a life of its own once scoffed at by disbelievers the crater development is the

place to be with a beautiful high-rises a

top-of-the-line transportation hub and one of the biggest commercial shopping districts in the region.

The question has become not if they can fill the apartment buildings but how many will they have to build to accommodate the demand.

Unemployment is at at all-time low for mayor T4arget as his dream to lure big time ore extracting companies to town,

which in turn would create jobs for the local inhabitants has come to fruition.

Locals joke that all they hear when they see a giant ore truck rolling through town is the cha-ching of a cash register.

Palm's Time has announced he will not be seeking re-election of Chong Kham Town even though Chong Kham is seeing

all-time highs in population growth, the economy and happiness. Palm's Time says it

was time to move on and help another town get back on his feet and rise to new heights.

The New Windsor Zoo officially opened its doors to residents and tourists this week and the facility was filled to capacity. In

fact Mayor Pres was so happy with the turnout he is having a giveaway for a free Industries DLC key

the free key is being supplied by Brandon Kirk and associates but you'll have to watch New Windsor episode 21 for the complete

details.

Some Littletown residents will be getting in a lot better shape with the addition of hiking trails at the Littletown National Park.

For those that have not been bitten by the workout bug, fear not, a brand new cable car network has

also been installed for park goers.

In Barrysville, the town council voted to name November 23rd

Denninger Day in honor of the late Richard and Maureen Denninger who were a staple of the Berrysville community.

For 60 years Richard and Maureen owned and operated the Denninger Family Gas Station off Route 66.

November 23 marks today Richard Denninger passed away at the age of

105.

Halloween is coming and gone but let's see what some of our favorite streamers did to celebrate.

Leader of the monkeys got into the spirit by dressing up as a blood sucking carrot and

Damien's gaming did his best Daniel Larusso impression from the Karate Kid.

Halloween isn't the only thing November left behind

November also means that asset creator Beardmonkey's #proptober

extravaganza on the Steam Workshop is over which leads us into a new segment called creator spotlight where we try to highlight

someone in the City Skylines community who's done great work in some way, shape or form.

Today the creator spotlight will be featuring Beardmonkey front and center

This past October or proptober his Beardmonkey likes to call it, he released seven separate prop packs on the workshop.

Two garden packs that will enable you to detail every house you plopped down and give it unique character to go along with five

construction material prop packs. If

you were wondering where you've seen these assets before it was just last week when several builders in the Cities

Global Build-Off were making construction sites for Team A and Team B.

Like most early asset creators his first workshop submission was a park in January of 2016,

following that up with a series of army base themed assets.

Then in October 2016 we started to see more of the assets he is known for today as the first of many farm,

highway / parking lot marking decals and construction props were released.

Immediately after that these scrapyard props that have been featured in many YouTube series but most notable was Arrowhead Valley.

November also saw more construction and parking lot marking decals.

In December he released ground decals, more scrapyard props and introduced us to his dumpster

trash collection.

In 2017 he created a complete set of assets so you can build your own weigh station and a series of

functioning residential and commercial shacks so people could build quote slums but have them actually work with the game mechanics.

In April of

2017 began the first of many collaborations

with established YouTube content creators when his NASCAR pack was featured in PugGaming's NASCAR track build.

He also contributed mightily to the Osahra series

which was a collaboration project with Skibitth and $2 20 building a middle eastern desert city.

He crafted decals, walls, buildings, vegetation

military props, farming buildings, livestock, pipelines, market props and the Karshak temple props for Osahra.

Recently right before proptober 2018 began, Beardmonkey lent a hand to do $2.20

again this time with Mexican residential buildings for his Bordertown series.

Which brings us today why is Beardmonkey worthy of this spotlight and why is he important to the community?

As some assets on the workshop come and go his creations have withstood the test of time.

Props, decals and buildings he created over two years ago are still relevant with tens of thousands of subscribers.

His assets appeal to all players in the Skyline's Nation

whether you are a vanilla builder looking for growable

buildings, a detailer looking for a specific prop, a scratch builder looking for walls or a YouTuber

looking for assets that fit their project; he has been there and we thank you!

Keep up the great work Beardmonkey and I along with many others look forward to hopefully

many, more proptobers in the future.

Now here's another new segment, we would like to call
