MAN UTD TRANSFER NEWS LIVE Wednesday, August 8Paul Pogba demand Paul Pogba will demand a whopping pay rise to stay at Manchester United, reports claim
Pogba's future at Manchester United remains far from certain and reports surfaced earlier this week claiming the player's agent, Mino Raiola, is trying to broker a transfer to Barcelona for his client
The Frenchman has struggled to curry favour under Jose Mourinho. Other claims have indicated that Pogba has told his friends he wants to leave Old Trafford
And now according to The Sun, should Pogba stay, he will push for a bumper deal that could see his weekly wages soar from £180,000 to £380,000
Should United cave into his demands, Pogba would close the gap on Alexis Sanchez, who is the club's top earner
Tuesday, August 7Mina to choose deal Yerry Mina will choose between Manchester United and Everton tonight
Mina is wanted by both Premier League clubs, who have agreed fees of around £30m with Barcelona
The defender is now faced with a choice of which club he wants to join. That is according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who claim Mina must decide by Wednesday morning where his future lies
United can offer Champions League football - something Everton cannot. But the Red Devils are also chasing other centre-back targets
Mourinho has Varane dream Manchester United blocked Jose Mourinho's dreams of signing Raphael Varane this summer
That is according to the MEN. Mourinho is desperate for a centre-back with just three days of the transfer window remaining
Real Madrid star Varane was his top target, the report claims, but United's board found it impossible to strike a deal
Moves for Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld or Jerome Boateng could happen before Thursday's deadline
United play Leicester in the Premier League on Friday and a move for Maguire seems the most unlikely of the three options available to Mourinho
MAN UTD TRANSFER NEWS LIVE Tuesday, August 7Pogba veto Jose Mourinho has reportedly vetoed Paul Pogba's move to Barcelona
Rumours surrounding Pogba's future at Manchester United have circulated all summer
It was claimed earlier today that agent Jorge Mendes has been tasked with getting Pogba out of Old Trafford
But a contrary report from Spain suggests the France international is going nowhere
According to SPORT, Mourinho doesn't want to sell Pogba and has 'vetoed' a transfer
Like Barca manager Ernesto Valverde, Mourinho wants Pogba to be the 'axis' of his squad
The twist may not come as a surprise to many United fans, especially considering United would only have three days to source a replacement for Pogba were he to leave
But SPORT add that Barcelona will keep trying to sign him even if there is a 0.01 per cent chance of a deal going through
Ferdinand plea Rio Ferdinand has pleaded with Manchester United to not sell Paul Pogba
Barcelona want to sign Pogba, although a deal at this stage of the transfer window appears unlikely
Yet Ferdinand is still worried that United board could push for a sale of the France World Cup winner
Replying to a report on social media that Pogba's agent Mino Raiola is trying to get a deal with Barcelona done, Ferdinand twitted: "Don't you dare allow this ED
#MUFC is Pogba's home!! Silence these rumours ASAP & get @AlderweireldTob through the door
" ED is likely to be in reference to United's executive-vice chairman Ed Woodward
Ferdinand also alluded to United's efforts to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham
Agent in Pogba deal Jose Mourinho has tasked agent Jorge Mendes with finding a club for Paul Pogba, and wants Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to replace the midfielder
That is according to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero. They claim Pogba is wanted out of Old Trafford in order to facilitate Milinkovic-Savic's arrival from Lazio
Milinkovic-Savic would cost around £70m and Manchester United would want at least £89m from the sale of Pogba
Barcelona are the club most closely linked with a deal for World Cup winner Pogba
But Mendes will have to work fast to get both deals over the line before the Premier League's August 9 deadline, as United will not want to sign Milinkovic-Savic without assurances that Pogba is leaving
