Hypothetically, if you had a chance to
catch a Broadway show with Hillary Clinton,
what play or show would you choose?
Hamilton.
I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard good things.
Well, Anjali, you picked an absolute favorite of mine.
Oh my god. Oh my god!
I'm Hillary Clinton, and after the 2016 election
I talked about how I coped with the loss.
I went to some incredible Broadway shows,
had the occasional glass of chardonnay
and, most importantly,
I started an organization called Onward Together.
And now I want to share all of those things with you.
To benefit Onward Together,
I'm teaming up with Omaze to give you and a friend
the chance to join me for a glass of chardonnay
and a Broadway show.
Now another thing that helped me move on
were the thoughtful, encouraging letters that I received
from people from across our country.
So I thought it would be nice to surprise
some of them with a personal invitation
to enter my Omaze campaign.
They think they're participating in a video chat
with my research team, but what they don't know
is I'm going to drop by and say hello.
Come on, let's do this.
Hi, Cecily!
Hi
Hi!
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself,
where you're from, what do you do?
I'm a freshman at Georgetown University,
which is why I'm in a library right now.
I grew up in Alabama, and I'm a lawyer.
Seeing the convention was a very exciting event
for me just to be able to see the nomination
of someone that I believed so thoroughly in.
We loved reading about how you took your
two-month-old daughter to vote.
And this year, did she dress up for Halloween?
She was the Notorious RBG.
Great!
[laughter]
If you could sit with Secretary Clinton
and have a glass of chardonnay,
what would you tell her?
Thank you for dreaming big, and taking a chance
and all the things that I think
a lot of women are told not to do.
First thing would be to thank her
for all of her service and all that she's done.
I would probably tell her that
she's had an impact on my life
and my career because she is—
Hey!
Oh, you're kidding me!
Hi!
Oh my gosh.
Hold on one second, your screen is fading—
Hey, do you mind if I interrupt?
What?
[laughter]
Hi, Cameron.
Oh my god. Hi!
Oh my! Hi, how are you?
Surprised?
Extremely overwhelmed.
Thank you for, you know,
just everything you said in your letter.
It meant the world to me.
I love the idea of dressing up your daughter
as the Notorious RBG.
I love that.
I taught her how to use her gavel and bang on the floor.
[laughter]
I'm so excited that Onward Together,
through this amazing Omaze experience, is offering
the chance to come to New York City,
bring a friend,
have a glass of chardonnay and
go with me to a Broadway play.
Are you serious?
Oh, I am so serious!
So enter now.
Go to omaze.com/hrc.
I will.
I will, yes.
Absolutely.
Take care.
Thank you. You, too.
Oh my god!
Bye.
I just talked to Hillary Clinton.
Friend: It was her?
I'm still shaking.
For your chance to have a glass of chardonnay
and see a Broadway show with me,
please go to omaze.com/hrc.
The best part is
every donation benefits Onward Together,
which empowers incredible progressive groups,
almost entirely led by
women or people of color,
and helps them turn energy into action
and fight for the issues that we all believe in.
So enter now, and I'll see you on Broadway.
