Continúan las protestas contra la proliferación de Uber y Cabify

Madrid - Las protestas de los taxistas españoles contra la proliferación de licencias VTC (vehículos de alquiler con conductor), como Uber o Cabify, mantienen bloqueadas las principales vías de Madrid, Barcelona, con el consiguiente colapso de tráfico en plena temporada turística en ambas ciudades.

En Madrid, el Paseo de la Castellana, avenida que recorre la capital de norte a sur, amaneció tomada por unos 5,000 taxis que desde ayer protestan ante la sede del Ministerio de Fomento, donde ayer mantuvieron una reunión con el número dos del departamento.

Exigen "algo más de certeza y certidumbre" sobre el futuro del sector y aguardan al resultado de la reunión que responsables del Ministerio español mantendrán hoy con representantes de las VTC.

En la Castellana solo permanece abierto al tráfico un carril por sentido, mientras que los otros ocho carriles siguen ocupados por miles de vehículos cuyos conductores decidieron continuar la protesta de ayer y pasaron la noche juntos en señal de unidad y de presión hacia el Ministerio.

para que la ley que establece que debe haber una licencia VTC por cada 30 taxis se cumpla "no solo en el papel, sino también en la calle".

Entre los miles de taxis blancos madrileños destacan cuatro negros con el techo verde y con banderas portuguesas sobre la capota: dos procedentes de Oporto y otros dos de Lisboa, que viajaron a Madrid para sumarse a la protesta como muestra de solidaridad.

Uno de los conductores portugueses explicó a Efe que ayer un centenar de taxistas hicieron una marcha hacia Lisboa para apoyar a los compañeros españoles y también para lanzar un mensaje al gobierno portugués para que esté alerta "porque lo mismo que está ocurriendo en España puede ocurrir en Portugal".

Mientras, en la estación de Atocha, a donde llegan y de donde salen los trenes de alta velocidad, sigue sin haber taxis,

más allá de unos 20 vehículos preparados para ofrecer servicios mínimos a ancianos, familias con niños pequeños o personas de movilidad reducida, a los que trasladan gratis a sus destinos.

En Barcelona, ciudad donde comenzaron las protestas la semana pasada, los taxistas también continúan en las calles de la ciudad.

Asimismo en Valencia (este), los taxistas cortaron hoy el tráfico en la Calle Colón, una de las principales vías de esta ciudad de 790,000 habitantes.

Esta huelga se produce en plena temporada turística, cuando miles de personas llegan cada día a los aeropuertos y estaciones de tren de España.

Jamie Carragher believes the current Liverpool squad is potentially better than any Reds

group he was involved with.

The former centre-back won the Champions League and finished as a Premier League runner-up

on three occasions.

Carragher played alongside fellow legend Steven Gerrard as well as world-class stars like

Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres.

And although Liverpool fell short of winning silverware last season, he admits he can't

recall a stronger squad during his Anfield career.

"It does look like a really top-end squad at the moment," he told talkSPORT.

"Possibly as good as anything I was involved in and I was at Liverpool for 17 years.

"The squad that they have now and the strength they're looking to gain is as good as anything

I played in."

Carragher also spoke about Dejan Lovren, claiming that he does not see the Croatian as a weakness.

"Lovren gets a lot of criticism from Liverpool fans and over his Liverpool career he has

made mistakes in big games," he added.

"But you're talking about a centre-back who has made who has played in a Champions

League final and a World Cup final over the last few months.

"They've got plenty of options there at centre-back.

"They've got Van Dijk, who was a huge amount of money, but I always say it doesn't

matter how much money you spend on a player – if he performs, he'll look worth it.

"In two or three years time, other centre-backs will go for big money and he'll look like

a bargain."

Donald Trump's Lawyer Gave Robert Mueller Some Very Bad News

One question has been hovering over Robert Mueller's rigged witch hunt against President

Trump.

Will Trump sit for an interview with the special counsel and his team of biased prosecutors?

Donald Trump's lawyer may have finally answered that question and what he said is very bad

news.

Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani appeared on CNN's "New Day" for a 45 minute marathon interview.

At one point, he addressed the question of President Trump sitting for an interview with

Mueller.

Giuliani stated that although Trump wants to tell his side of the story, he cannot recommend

an interview because the Mueller team is acting in bad faith.

"I think the odds are against it.

But I wouldn't be shocked because he wants to do it so badly.

And you know, on the negotiations about this, when they respond, they've been reasonable.

And then they don't respond."

"They haven't gotten back to us in 10 days over our recommendation of how to do

an interview.

I am sure they are in bad faith about an interview at that point," Giuliani continued.

In addition to Mueller's bad faith negotiating tactics, the special counsel is facing increasing

scrutiny over his conflicts of interest and the anti-Trump bias that is rampant among

his staff.

President Trump tweeted:

Is Robert Mueller ever going to release his conflicts of interest with respect to President

Trump, including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship,

I turned him down to head the FBI (one day before appointment as S.C.) & Comey is his

close friend..

….Also, why is Mueller only appointing Angry Dems, some of whom have worked for Crooked

Hillary, others, including himself, have worked for Obama….And why isn't Mueller looking

at all of the criminal activity & real Russian Collusion on the Democrats side-Podesta, Dossier?

When asked by CNN to describe Mueller's business relationship with Trump Giuliani

said it was up to Mueller to explain his conflict, but he did state the business dispute between

Trump and Mueller was serious enough that if he was the prosecutor and had that type

of conflict it would have kept him out off the case.

"I can't tell you.

I'm not sure I know exactly what the conflict is.

I have a good idea what it is, it's one that would have kept me out of the investigation,"

Giuliani stated.

Reports indicate Trump's accusations of Mueller having a conflict of interest centers

on two issues.

One is believed to be a fight Mueller had over membership dues when the then-FBI Director

resigned as a member of Trump National Golf Club in Northern Virginia.

The second is that Trump interviewed Mueller for the position of FBI Director after he

fired James Comey.

The President passed over Mueller in favor of current Director Christopher Wray.

Trump continues to correctly attack the legitimacy of the Mueller probe.

The entire investigation is based on a fake news hoax that the Trump campaign colluded

with Russia.

And it is being led by Mueller – who the President points out has multiple conflicts

of interest.
