Success story: Captio used in Schindler
Expense and travel receipt digitization project.
Schindler's experience using Captio.
Before implementing Captio's solution, we had a traditional expense settlement system.
We had to fill out forms, gather up all the receipts, go through an approval process and then record it with administration and upload it to the systems.
This all took a reasonable amount of time.
We were looking for solutions available on the market because we had implemented a scanning and digitization system for supplier invoices in the P2P process.
We liked the solution and wanted to scan the expense settlements to digitize the process, using the scanners themselves.
In the implementation phase, we first did a pilot trial with ten people in different geographical regions, choosing people that were supposedly more inclined to embrace technological changes, as well as some who were more reluctant.
It all worked really well.
Within three to six months, we rolled it out at a national level.
We have around 650 people settling their expenses using this channel.
This is basically our sales force, salespeople, engineers and office staff.
Primarily, people who are constantly travelling.
Everyone thinks it is great, because the first thing they ask is why we never thought of it sooner.
The back-office process has been simplified by about 70%.
Meanwhile, we have been able to make things easier for people who have to report expenses, again by about 60% or 70%.
I am really happy with it, really happy!
