the gospel is at the center of who we are as Christians and what we do here as
a congregation it's the heart of everything the gospel is good news what
we call a good news because it's God's announcement to us to everybody to Leith
to Casselbank Street to the whole of Edinburgh it's about what God has done for
us because there's a problem, and the problem is sin affects us all we can't
deny it and the Bible tells us if we do deny it that we're deceiving ourselves
that's not good news but the good news comes immediately after that yes there's
a problem but God has done something about it "...for God so loved the world he
sent His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes an Him shall
not perish but have everlasting life..." we put our trust in Jesus we are forgiven
and we move from being a distance from God to becoming children of God that's
as good as it gets and it's all about good news here in
