Collingwood Magpies runner Alex Woodward breaks silence following controversial incident - Blog news - Duration: 2:33.

Alex Woodward, the Collingwood runner who drew the ire of Magpies fans for appearing to accidentally block forward Jaidyn Stephenson during Saturday's grand final says he is extremely grateful for the support shown by coach Nathan Buckley

While on the field Woodward inadvertently blocked the path of Stephenson on his way to contest a ball kicked by teammate Taylor Adams, allowing Eagles' Elliot Yeo to claim an easy set shot which he emphatically blasted for six

After the game Buckley was seen consoling a tearful Woodward, and the young runner has sung the coach's praises

"I couldn't speak more highly of Bucks and his character," Woodward told SEN's KB and The Doc

"He just wrapped his arms around me and told me not to blame myself.I think I was just caught up a bit and for him to do that meant so much to me and my family

It was a great gesture."The support has been unbelievable from the footy club obviously, my family and my friends

"After the game there was a bit of a spotlight put on it and I just felt pretty bad about it

" Following the incident Buckley refused to lop any blame on Woodward in the Magpies' post-match press conference

"Scenarios happen in a game and that was one of them," Buckley told reporters."The reason I grabbed him was he can't be blaming himself

"He was trying to get out of the way and it didn't work."

so because we have been behind the camera for the past year we decided to

On the second news on Thursday, 27th on September supporters for Christine Ford

March in Washington. Christine have accused Brett Kavanaugh for sexual

assault. It is a third time he has been accused.

Will he get the position at the Supreme Court? To finish with the good news a Dutch

teenager created a vessel to collect 50 percent of the trash between Hawaii and

California. Finally we are sadly to announce that me, François, Nikolai and

Shahar are stepping down from ACP news.
