So today we will talk about hero's journey by J.Campbell

J.Campbell made this theorie during 1940

But who's J.Campbell ?

It's a mythologist

...Thoman

Did I kill you in the last episode ?...

He's an anthropologist too

A person who study The human

...Is culture but not his body (anatomy)

But anyway...

J.Campbell says that every type of writers do nothing...

...and that there are fucking cheaters !

even if he says that nicelier...

He was writer too

But he's more famous because of his conferences and his book on his theorie...

J.Campbell shows that humans just write books and movies...

and that he just change names and context

But that he is just always following a precise layout (sketch)

That we call in *french : " le voyage du héros"*

It's this circle

It maybe seams easy or very difficult...

But let's check...

Wich represent perfectly this theorie

To start, the ordinary wold...

so the introduction

And in this scene we can learn a bit about the characters...

Next, call to adventure...

Characters are going at Digory kirks'mansion

In third, rejection af adventure, *no thanks*

after go in the wardrobe, lucy can't return in it...

I know, it's not a "right" rejection , but play on the words...

When they arrived, childs see the beaver...

So it's the meeting with the mentor

he passage of the threshold of the adventure

It's the moment where they're attacked by wolves and where Edmund leave the group...

After that, the ennemies and allys'test

t's the (péripeties) adventure

Approach to the cave : the war

Death and rebirth are the end of the war

reward is the coronation of heros

and the return's way

rebirth is the return to a "normal" life

And the quest rewards, wich is the knowledge that the character won

And it's with this theorie that you guess the end of some movies

because it's only one myth

where only the names are modificated

ok, it's not always because of this theorie but because an overuse of the cinema's codes

Maybe you think learn something, but you've already know this, at th school, you know, this sketch...

and if we wanted to make this theorie easier, we could unit those definition under 3 titles...

separation, initiation and return...

funfact : George Lucas was inspired by this theorie to write Star Wars...
