The Dominican friars in Pakistan they are working for the mission of the Order
and Pakistan then guarded to the Dominican came in 1931 and since 1931 we
are working for the good news to spread the good news to the poor people and our
work in Pakistan is that at the Dominican we are about 45 people we are
working for a Christian Muslim dialogue that we need to lever the Muslims and we
need to have the dialogue with them because this is the time of human
respect dignity and understanding of each other and as a Dominican we are
working for Christian Muslim dialogue we are working for justice and peace that
if we are in trouble problems the Dominican friars are giving help to the
poor people so that they could get justice in the country we are working in
the jail ministry where we go and which is the guilt people those are in prison
in order to help them in order to give them the consolation and in order to
support them by the legal matters and also what a spiritual way and then we
are also working for the education of the people there we have bought five
schools for the poor people and in those five schools our main task is to give
the education to the poor people so that the poor people could uplift their lives
and they can live with dignified way in the country and elsewhere in the world
by the grace of God with the passage of time the Christian situation is become
improving and becoming better the Christian people are poor people in
Pakistan in spite of for difficulties challenges problems
thank God that we are very strong in faith sometimes that problem comes up
we're living with among the majority Muslim people among sometimes there are
fanatics or fundamentalist but I would say that in general that situation is
changing improving and Christian people they are happy with their that we have
the freedom of religion and part from the freedom of religion
got that the modern Muslims are coming up secular Muslims are coming up those
who are moderate in order to build a society in a peaceful way and I would
say that the Christian people more they suffer more the face challenges more
the face difficulties they become more and strong in their faith so we are very
strong in our faith we are very strong with our commitment and we are very
strong with our dedication and I will say that although the situation is not
so good as the Christian people would like to have but in spite of suffering
difficulty challenges we are grateful to God that we as a community we are one
united like the one body of Christ and we are suffering together we are living
together and we are rejoicing together
