Waching daily Jun 29 2017

Hi!

How are you?

I am still recovering a little bit from that wonderful event we had in Belfast.

We brought together 675 people from 48 countries, to discuss employment of persons with a disability

on the open labour market.

And 2 very significant things happened there: One, EASPD, together with EUSE, signed a cooperation

agreement with ENPES, the European Network of Public Employment Services.

Mainstream actors and specialized organisations working together, I think that is a major

breakthrough.

And secondly, we awarded 2 organisations.

I would like to, again, congratulate our friends from Carrefour Spain and the colleagues from

ACCESS Employment Service, Germany.

They both took a wonderful award with them back home.

Congratulations!

Something else... we have, here in Brussels, the European Expert Group on de-institutionalisation

and promotion of community-based services.

Guess what?

Sabrina, policy manager of EASPD will be one of the co-chairs, leading that group the coming year

I think that is a very important news to be shared with you.

Thirdly, this week we launched a new website, a new website that would try to bridge the

gap between the banking world and social sector actors and services.

A new website with lots of information on EFSI, on the famous Juncker Package.

A last piece of information, I would like to share with you is news with regard to the

Access City Awards.

The Commission launched a new call.

If your city, if your village is doing very good with regard to accessibility, please

make sure that they take part in this Access City Awards call.

You can find the information on the website of EASPD or on the website of the Commission.

We all know how important accessibility is, so we have to promote it as much as we can.

Thank you, enjoy the summer!
