The massively multiplayer space epic Elite: Dangerous launched this week on the PS4 and
players found themselves greeted with a new alien mystery to solve. Within the 24 hours
surrounding the games launch, players uncovered five spiralling alien structures within the
games massive shared universe of over 400 billion star systems. The structures were
quickly identified as belonging to the Thargoids which is an alien race that first appeared
in Elite over 20 years ago. Upon further investigation players found that if a particular alien artifact
was brought near the structures, the organic doors would open. Inside players uncovered
an alien device that could also be activated by certain alien artifacts sending a shower
of green sparks into the air and emitting a strange sound. Players then found that unscrambling
the audio revealed a spectrogram that appears to be some sort of alien map. Where the map
leads is anyones guess but players are quickly trying to unravel its mystery.
Those of you waiting for more information on Naughty Dogs The Last of Us Part II needn't
wait any longer as it appears the games newest character was revealed this week on twitter.
Neil Druckmann the games Director posted a picture of a pig in motion capture gear which
was quickly followed up by the game's co-writer writer Halley Gross, who posted a video of
herself playing with the same pig. The Last of Us: Part II was first revealed at the PlayStation
Experience in 2016 and will take place five hears after the events of the first game.
How the pig fits into the story is currently unknown but what we do know is that both Joel
and Elllie will be making a return to the game with Ellie taking the games main role,
and while the first game's story was centered around love, Neil Druckmann has stated that
The Last of Us Part II's story will revolve around hate.

from the logs but it may indicate that the games long-rumoured hero Doomfist may finally
be making his way to the game as well as the possibility that last years Summer Games event
may also be making a return. In other Overwatch news, the games Director Jeff Kaplan announced
that they are planning to make significant changes to the games loot box system stating
that the amount of duplicates players receive from loot boxes is going to drastically be
reduced. Kaplan also stated that they plan to increase the amount of credits that drop
from loot boxes to compensate for the loss of credits received from duplicate items and
that they think the changes will "be immediately evident and extremely significant" to all
