Liverpool transfer news - Andrew Robertson "back on Liverpool's radar" as Alberto Moreno exit nears

Reports on Thursday claim Liverpool remain interested in Hull City left-back Andy Robertson, as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen one of his weaker areas.

This is a vital summer for the Reds, with Klopp aiming to build a squad capable of fighting for silverware in four different competitions.

Left-back was an area that many fans felt was lacking last season, with James Milner struggling at times in a new role and Alberto Moreno generally deemed surplus to requirements.

According to the Liverpool Echo's James Pearce, Robertson is "one of a number of options being considered," with Moreno expected to leave this summer.

The £8 million-rated Hull defender has been linked with a move to Anfield a number of times, and his impressive performances down the left flank were one of the more positive aspects of the Tigers' doomed 2016/17 Premier Leaguecampaign.

Pearce's report states that Liverpool will bring in a replacement as soon as Moreno leaves, which is expected to be within the next couple of weeks.

The Spaniard is not yet sold on the idea of leaving Merseyside this summer, but will assess his options when he returns to Melwood for pre-season training next week.

Although Robertson wouldn't exactly be a marquee signing, he fits the bill when it comes to a Klopp player, with the German monitoring his progress over the last two seasons.

At 23, he is at an age where Klopp can take the left-back to the next level, and he would provide good competition for the divisive Milner.

Signings of Robertson's ilk have arrived and failed in the past, but Klopp's record in the transfer markets suggests fans should at least be inclined to trust his judgment.

He is not a manager who will necessarily buy big names, but is instead someone who turns players into household names—and that's what Robertson would hope for from a move to Anfield.

PlayStation Weekly News - Elite: Dangerous's Alien Map, Overwatch's Hero Leak & Naughty Dog's Pig - Duration: 8:03.

Hello my good friends! Derek D. here for ExclusivelyPS with your PlayStation Weekly News. On this

weeks show I'll talk the new mysterious alien discovery in Elite Dangerous as well

The Last of Us Part II's motion captured pig. I'll also talk about Titanfall 2's

new DLC called The War Games, Overwatch's potential new hero leak, Trove's new dinosaur

inspired free content update, the critically acclaimed isometric roleplaying game Pillars

of Eternity, the sci-fi parkour platformer Super Cloudbuilt, SteamWorld Dig 2, as well

as the newly announced 2D handrawn sci-fi action adventure game Original Journey. That's

all coming up on the PlayStation Weekly News.

The massively multiplayer space epic Elite: Dangerous launched this week on the PS4 and

players found themselves greeted with a new alien mystery to solve. Within the 24 hours

surrounding the games launch, players uncovered five spiralling alien structures within the

games massive shared universe of over 400 billion star systems. The structures were

quickly identified as belonging to the Thargoids which is an alien race that first appeared

in Elite over 20 years ago. Upon further investigation players found that if a particular alien artifact

was brought near the structures, the organic doors would open. Inside players uncovered

an alien device that could also be activated by certain alien artifacts sending a shower

of green sparks into the air and emitting a strange sound. Players then found that unscrambling

the audio revealed a spectrogram that appears to be some sort of alien map. Where the map

leads is anyones guess but players are quickly trying to unravel its mystery.

Those of you waiting for more information on Naughty Dogs The Last of Us Part II needn't

wait any longer as it appears the games newest character was revealed this week on twitter.

Neil Druckmann the games Director posted a picture of a pig in motion capture gear which

was quickly followed up by the game's co-writer writer Halley Gross, who posted a video of

herself playing with the same pig. The Last of Us: Part II was first revealed at the PlayStation

Experience in 2016 and will take place five hears after the events of the first game.

How the pig fits into the story is currently unknown but what we do know is that both Joel

and Elllie will be making a return to the game with Ellie taking the games main role,

and while the first game's story was centered around love, Neil Druckmann has stated that

The Last of Us Part II's story will revolve around hate.

Titanfall 2 received a new free DLC pack called The War Games this week granting players access

to two new maps in addition to other new features. The first new map entitled War Games features

tall buildings for window-to-window fighting, large city streets ideal for Titan combat,

an open tank facility suited for hand-to-hand pilot combat, along with long interconnecting

wall running routes. The second Live Fire Map called Traffic takes players to a weathered

test site with two busy thoroughfares filled with dense cover as well as back fields that

are ideal for long range sniper attacks. The War Games DLC also features a new game changing

feature that grants players a third weapon slot for use with an anti-Titan weapon, a

new pilot execution named Shadow Boxing as well as a new mode called Free Agent and is

available now for free to all players.

Overwatch's next hero and in-game event may have accidentally been leaked this week

as the games latest update on the PC public test realm was causing crashlogs to appear

with the title "1.13.0.0 Doomfist / Summer Games". Blizzard has since removed the reference

from the logs but it may indicate that the games long-rumoured hero Doomfist may finally

be making his way to the game as well as the possibility that last years Summer Games event

may also be making a return. In other Overwatch news, the games Director Jeff Kaplan announced

that they are planning to make significant changes to the games loot box system stating

that the amount of duplicates players receive from loot boxes is going to drastically be

reduced. Kaplan also stated that they plan to increase the amount of credits that drop

from loot boxes to compensate for the loss of credits received from duplicate items and

that they think the changes will "be immediately evident and extremely significant" to all

players.
