No matter which side of the political aisle youre on, the 2016 presidential election was a tumultuous one. This was also true for Cyrus, who first supported Bernie Sanders and then campaigned for Hillary Clinton.

When Trump was ultimately elected, Cyrus posted a heartfelt message asking the new president to just treat people with love and treat people with compassion and treat people with respect. But in order to get her message across to those who dont agree with her, Cyrus claimed she felt she had to change her approach.

My record is political, she told Billboard. I want to talk to people in a compassionate, understanding way.. She wanted to get back to her roots. Cyrus father Billy Ray was a huge country artist. Her godmother is the iconic Dolly Parton.

And as she told Billboard in 2017, shes emblazoned with a tattoo of Johnny Cashs signature. It makes sense, then, thats shes turned more towards a stripped down, country sound.

Did she change up her look and sound to get Liam back?. At first, it seems like Cyrus spent the past few years experimenting in an attempt to discover her true self — something probably every twentysomething is guilty of.

As she explained to NY Times, If one of my friends doesnt see me for two or three weeks, you have to re-get to know me in a way.

My soul will still be the same, but everything around me can be different, and I wont dress the same and maybe different kinds of people will be around. But when you look at her transformation in relation to her relationship timeline with Hemsworth, things seem a little fishy. .

The couple first met when they starred together in the 2010 film The Last Song. They eventually got engaged, but called it off during her Bangerz phase.

She revealed to Billboard that she wrote Malibu about him, saying, I needed to change so much.

And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard. Hemsworth told GQ Australia something similar, claiming the breakup needed to happen because the two were were going in different directions. It seems Miley is closer to her Disney days than ever, so it makes sense that theyve gotten re-engaged after a 3-year hiatus.

Peni re-signs with Force

Peni re-signs with Force. Western Force flyer Chance Peni has re-signed with the club for the next two seasons, keeping him in Perth until 2019.

Peni has played six games this season, scoring three tries, before being struck down with a groin injury, which has kept him on the sidelines since Round Seven.

The man they call 'Money Penny' says that he's thrilled to be re-signing with the WA-based club and to be playing in the Force blue next year.

"I've loved every minute of being back home," he said. "My dream has always been to play for the Force, and to now have that opportunity is just amazing..

"I'm excited for next season and looking forward to developing my game and playing an exciting brand of rugby for the Sea of Blue.

The pacey winger attributes his good form to the coaching staff at the Force and admits the move back to WA and rugby union has been an enjoyable experience.

"I had a lot to learn when I first came back and the coaching staff were amazing.

Working one-on-one with Shaun Berne has been huge for me and I still have a lot to learn, but my development will only get better playing here.".

Western Force Head Coach Dave Wessels says Peni has been a bright spark in attack this season and looks forward to seeing him develop over the next two seasons.

"This time last year I'd never heard of Chance Peni, but I was put onto him by his good friend Curtis Rona. Watching footage of him we quickly realised he was a big, athletic ball carrier with a surprising amount of skill..

"What we didn't find out until we actually got him over here was that Chance wants to win and that he loves the confrontation in the game, which are both fantastic qualities in a young player.

"We're delighted that he's staying with us for two more years.

When she first released her chart-topping album Bangerz, Cyrus was hell-bent on making sure the whole world knew that yes, she loved weed.

She posted selfies of herself smoking, added a mini pot leaf to her extensive tattoo collection, and even went so far as to light a joint while accepting an award at the 2013 EMAs.

I think weed is the best drug on earth, she told Rolling Stone in 2013. .

However, during an interview with Billboard following the release of Malibu, Cyrus said that shes left that lifestyle behind. I like to surround myself with people that make me want to get better, more evolved, open, she said.

And I was noticing, its not the people that are stoned. I want to be super clear and sharp, because I know exactly where I want to be. .

In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Cyrus also revealed that she was afraid her smoking habit would kill her.

Its like no ones ever died from weed, but no ones ever smoked as much as I did, she told Fallon.

FORMULA ONE news this week features Mercedes boss Toto Wolff, Sebastian Vettels crash with Lewis Hamilton and Force India investing in their third driver.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff believes the honeymoon period between F1 World Drivers Championship rivals Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel is well and truly over.

Vettel was furious at Hamilton for allegedly brake-testing him behind the safety car in Sundays Azerbaijan Grand Prix, causing him to crash into the back of the Mercedes and damage his own front wing.

The stewards handed the Ferrari driver a 10-second stop-go penalty for retaliating by pulling alongside and banging wheels with Hamilton. But the Brit felt it was far too lenient a punishment and branded Vettels behaviour a disgrace.

The pair had apparently enjoyed the battle at the front up until this latest incident but now Wolff, who was visibly fuming after Hamilton crossed the line in fifth, reckons the gloves are now off.

The sport needs the rivalry and I think what we have seen in Baku has the ingredients of a great championship, Wolff said.

At a certain stage the best ones compete for the world championship and in that phase of their life and career they cant be friends. Maybe we have seen a limitation of their respect.

Elsewhere, Force India will continue to a hand reserve driver Alfonos Celis Jr opportunities in F1 after announcing he will drive in the first practice session of the Austrian and Hungarian Grands Prix.

Celis Jr is currently competing in the World Series Formula V8 3. 5, where he sits fifth in the drivers standings and has four podiums from the first 10 races.

The 20-year-old Mexican driver has been tipped for great things in F1 and will take his tally of practice sessions to eight with Force India.

Celis Jr also took part in the in-season test after the Bahrain Grand Prix this year, meaning he is already familiar with the 2017 specifications of the car.

Red Bull boss Helmut Marko believes his team can win two of the next three Grands Prix before the summer break.

Daniel Ricciardo took the teams first victory of the season in Baku on Sunday but until now Red Bull have been a distant third behind Ferrari and Mercedes.

And while the Australian benefitted from Vettels penalty and a technical problem for Hamilton, Marko reckons the car is improving every week and the British and Hungarian Grands Prix are both possible Red Bull wins.

We expect a lot for Silverstone and Budapest, Marko told German outlet Auto Motor und Sport. Baku showed with the chassis we have made a real step forward and since the beginning of the season found a second.
