Waching daily Jun 28 2017

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News!

I'm Oli Davis, and I'm back from Glastonbury music festival!

Physically, at least.

I dropped my brain somewhere left of the John Peel Stage.

And in typically crazy professional wrestling fashion, there's been loads of stories since

the last WrestleTalk News.

But there's one many of you have tweeted me to cover…

...how many f**** does Daniel Bryan currently give?

Daniel Bryan Teases ROH Return Bryan returned to WWE TV on last week's

Smackdown Live after the release of his debut child the previous month, and he's quickly

been reminding everyone how much he loves to wrestle.

Despite retiring from competition last February because WWE wouldn't medically clear him

because of his history of concussions, Bryan revealed to Sports Illustrated last week that

he's "working on" an in-ring return.

Shortly after that interview, Cage Side Seats reported that Bryan has undergone more medical

tests over the last couple of months, which may have gone well.

This is why there's talk of him wrestling again, although it's expected he'll never

do so in WWE.

Then last Friday night, following Cody Rhodes' ROH Championship win at their Best in the

World pay-per-view, Bryan tweeted: "Side note, if you hold the @ringofhonor

title 462 days I may have to come after you, which would be 9/28/18.

Be forewarned!

#FinalCountdown" Bryan's 462 day timeframe doesn't just

fit in with his own ROH title reign length from 2005-2006, it also coincides with the

reported expiration of his WWE contract - which various sites, and Bryan himself once on Talking

Smack, claim to have just over a year left.

And the 'Final Countdown' hashtag doesn't just reference the ticking expiration date,

it's also the name of Bryan's entrance music in Ring of Honor.

Bryan quickly followed up his ROH return tease with the hashtag "trolling for life SMILEY

FACE EMOJI WITH SUNGLASSES!"

Trolling or not, it's time to check the How Many F**** Does Daniel Bryan Give counter!

He stripped Carmella of the Money in the Bank briefcase!

He recently became a father!

He wants to physically assault James Ellsworth!

Has that changed the Smackdown GM…[HAVE -1 APPEAR ON THE COUNTER] it's down!

It's down!

It's finally changed from zero!

Daniel Bryan now gives negative f****!

[JUMP CUT INTERRUPTION INTO NEXT STORY] WWE Raw Rating

After last week's 3.1 million viewer average, Monday's episode fell beneath the 3 million

figure once again, drawing 2.98 million viewers.

While this is up from previous weeks, the number should be stronger due to a lack of

competition from major sports.

And in this week's episode, despite Eric Bischoff's often quoted claim, controversy

didn't create cash.

"Chaos" Backstage At Raw WWE had to formally apologise following this

week's episode - and not just for how awful The Miz TV segment with LaVar Ball was.

During the in-ring skit, which featured LaVar along with his two sons - recent LA Lakers

draft pick Lonzo and high school basketball player LaMelo - the N-word was used.

You know the one.

The "I'm coming for you, N-word" one.

When Dean Ambrose interrupted The Miz, LaMelo could be heard on a live mic shouting, "Beat

that, N-word."

Dave Meltzer has reported on F4WOnline that "backstage was chaos...the key people, notably

Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon, were very unhappy backstage when the word was audible to the

crowd."

This explains Ambrose's music suddenly playing to end the segment.

WWE issued the statement: "The inappropriate language used by a guest during the Miz TV

segment was not scripted, nor reflects WWE's values."

A major WWE stipulation match is returning!

And why did Brock Lesnar leave WWE in 2004?
