Chelsea beat Arsenal 3-2 at Stamford Bridge in an incredibly open game. Chelsea went two up before surrendering their lead and could have been 5-2 down at half time

But Maurizio Sarri's side kept their nerve and came out on top thanks to Marcos Alonso's 81st minute strike

But former Manchester United defender Ferdinand went to town on Unai Emery's side, saying their midfield and defensive have 'no idea' and are in 'disarray'

"This is the story of the first half defensively for Arsenal. They do not track runners from midfield," Ferdinand said on BT Sport

"The back four do not identify runners from midfield and don't shape up to be able to defend that

"They've got no idea of where people are on the pitch. "There's disarray in the Arsenal backline, not only there but in the midfield as well

" Ferdinand doesn't think either of these sides will be able to challenge for the title with such indiscipline in the side

Arsenal have already squandered six points and already look to have a huge job on to get anywhere near the top four

While Chelsea sit top of the league midway through the second game week after two wins, but Ferdinand thinks there is cause for concern on their part too

He added: "This is a story of two teams wanting to go and attack, they do not want to defend

They've not got players that accept responsibility without the ball. "These two teams will not be anywhere near winning the league on this showing

"They just don't defend, you've got to do both sides of the game.  "You've got to have balance with the way you play this game

" Sarri admitted there was a 15 minute spell that was horrible and they have a lot of work to do

"I enjoyed the match for 75 minutes," he said. "The other 15 minutes it was better to smoke, I think

It was a wonderful match for everybody but those 15 minutes were horrible. "At the moment we are not ready

We need to improve and I hope that, in two months' time, we will be able to play 90 minutes like we did in the first 25 today

Man Utd news: Man City shift blame for documentary after Jose Mourinho slams Amazon show - Duration: 3:02.

Manchester United manager Mourinho took aim at Manchester City yesterday for their Amazon documentary that was released earlier this week

Kevin De Bruyne was seem slamming the 55-year-old, criticising him for his management during their spell at Chelsea together, while his style of play was also blasted

Manchester United boss Mourinho then said: "I think you can have a fantastic movie while respecting the others

"You don't have to disrespect others to have a fantastic movie, but, you can be a rich club and buy the best players in the world, but you can't buy class

"And they showed that clearly, that was really obvious." Yet journalist Duncan Castles, writing in the Sunday Times, has now given City's response

The Etihad outfit have instead blamed Amazon, insisting they had no editorial input or control over the documentary's film-making

They only intervened on material that could be deemed sensitive, commercial or personal

However, Mourinho is clearly seething. The United boss also mocked City for their 3-2 defeat to his side back in May

On that day, the Red Devils were losing 2-0 with Pep Guardiola's team primed to win the title

However, a Paul Pogba brace and Chris Smalling winner saw them hit back. City players reportedly had t-shirts lined up for their coronation

And Mourinho has mocked that by saying: "Because I am in the Man City documentary, I could ask for some royalties

"If they send me one of the shirts they had in the tunnel when we played there, the shirts that were saying: 'We did it on derby day

' "If they send me one of these, I give up about the royalties."  United and City are both in action today

The Red Devils travel to Brighton aiming for back to back wins after their 2-1 victory over Leicester

City, meanwhile, have a home game against Huddersfield. Guardiola's side are aiming for a third consecutive win after previous victories over Chelsea and Arsenal
