Chelsea boss Sarri has so far rotated Morata with Olivier Giroud as he targets Premier League title glory at the first time of asking

The Spain international and Blues forward remains, however, a shadow of the player who terrorised defences with Juventus and Real Madrid in the past

Chelsea signed Morata in 2017 because they thought the striker was good enough to replace Diego Costa, who was exiled by Antonio Conte

Yet the Sun claim Sarri has lost patience with the 25-year-old and is ready to offload him when the transfer window reopens in January

Morata has so far been given the benefit of the doubt. But Chelsea chiefs reportedly feel he is ill-suited to the rigours of the Premier League

It is claimed that they believe Morata is a fine player but one who will never show his true quality in west London

And the Sun say the Blues have four names in mind to replace him. Chelsea were interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain prior to his summer move to AC Milan

And it seems Sarri is still interested in the Argentina international - but knows any Milan transfer would be difficult to pull off

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is another player under consideration. But Chelsea reportedly feel the youngster may not fit the profile they currently need

Two other targets are RB Leipzig's Timo Werner and AC Milan's Patrick Cutrone. Yet both transfers would be risky given they are still learning their trade at their current clubs

Meanwhile, Morata himself recently prompted speculation over his Chelsea future

"I am a happy person, especially off the field, outside of football," he told El Mundo

"Within football I would like to be happier and for that I have to score more goals, which is what makes me happy

"But I am sure that little by little they will enter, because I am having occasions
