Your face is...
a blank
canvas
So guys... don't I look extra cute? Didn't it turn out well?
so let us begin...
I'm going to use
a concealer palette
to create strokes
because the thought behind this look
is to look a bit Van Gogh
I alternate colours
because as you may have realised
Van Gogh alternates shadows and lights
so every stroke represents shadows and lights
hence that's what I've done
I used the concealer palette
and a flat brush
with a liner brush
I create strokes on the lips
just like I did on the face
please just look at how GORGEOUS I am
so I just carry on drawing strokes
I'm using the soft matte lip cream
in shade Abu Dhabi
to create strokes on my lips
because it's a nude tone
basically the same colour as my lips
so again, I'm doing shadows, strokes with my lip colour
and lights too
Using this NYX..
I can't remember what it's called! (Panic)
Sorry, little lapsus
Using the NYX Eyeshadow Base
I just apply it all over the lid
to have a nice, even tone
which will allow the eyeshadow colours to pop out more
I now trace the shapes from Starry Night
by Van Gogh - which is what I'm going to draw on my lid
Now what I'm doing is creating
the most significant shapes from the painting
from Starry Night
I've done the white turbulence-thing
the stars and the moon
for the stars, what I've used has been yellow shadow
and then I've made the strokes with the vivid brights eyeliner in yellow and white
Using the angled brush...
angled?
well with an angle -
it's the eyeliner brush by NYX
I'm drawing the bushes
or the black shapes or whatever from the painting
didn't turn out bad, innit?
so that was the Van Gogh side
and now I'm doing normal makeup
because the whole concept
is about your face being a blank canvas - as mentioned in the beginning
which you can use to create works of art
or to put normal makeup on
I mean, in a modern style
So I just put on normal makeup
as you can see I've contoured
I've highlighted
I'm putting on normal eyeshadow
I've put on shimmery shadow in the middle of the lid
I'm really defining the crease as well
because you know I like a strong crease
but anyway, if you guys wanna see a slower tutorial
on how I create a smokey eye
then you can watch my other videos
in which I explain much slower
I'm being pretty quick with this, because the most important thing
is the Van Gogh side
which, is also quite easy
but I think I've explained that side well, right?
I think so!
Anyway, here I had a BIG PROBLEM
You can't tell so much, but I smudged some black shadow under my eye
my finger was dirty and I just smudged it all over...
so yeah, big problem, but anyway
I carry on with the finishing touches, such as eyeliner
and mascara on both eyes
I put on lipstick, only on half the mouth
to show that this is the contemporary side
So I hope you guys liked it
I hope you guys understood the concept behind this
about your face being a work of art
hope you try it and I hope you're inspired to try out new things
I shall see you on the next tutorial
Kisses, ciao!
