Amigo Gringo's director, Eric Hinojosa, has moved to Los Angeles.
And with Vanessa Jardim, who plays femme fatale Marilene, already living in Miami
that leaves only Patricia and Seth, the Amigo Gringo himself, living in New York.
Furthermore, a tragedy in the world of finance: the Amigo Gringo coffers have been decimated.
and the 2017 budget is gone.
Will the channel survive?

OK, the whole team is here to announce changes in the channel.
Actually, they're all in my bed. I don't know how that happened.
Just a sec.
As our fans know, we created Amigo Gringo with the Snack Network in São Paulo in 2014
when the Brazilian economy was strong.
Snack invested a lot of money in production costs
Sometimes we even have two cameras.
and in our professional team.
for which we are very thankful.
And there were several results. Result #1: quality videos.
Result #2: Two videos per week without fail for 179 weeks, a total of 258 videos.
It was so much work that I even gave up my travel column at The New York Times to handle it.
Result #3: We spent more than we made.
That's right, the channel is fun and cool and awesome and useful, but it was never profitable.
I don't know if you all know, but channels in Portuguese make less per thousand views than
channels in English.
That's how the global economy works. The Brazilian economy also did not help.
And now we've taken it to the limit and Snack, reasonably, told us that starting in April,
in other words, now,
they can no longer pay the costs of running the channel
and they've passed them along to...who?
To me? That stinks.
And in addition to that...
I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my career as a director and actor in Hollywood.
And I've been living for almost a year in Miami with Rafael and Snowy.
Is there hope for the channel?
Folks! Folks! Folks! I know how to solve the problem.
What, sell our organs?

No, no. We've come up with some solutions.
