NBA All-Star Weekend 2018 is in full swing and the young Lakers core was represented
in the Mtn Dew Kickstart Rising Stars game.

Thanks for coming through and watching @Lakersreact where we react to all things Purple and Gold.
This weekend the stars are out in Los Angeles for All-Star Weekend and our Lakers were set
to headline the Mtn Dew Kickstart Rising Stars game.
In this game format it was players from around the world versus USA players and playing for
the USA Roster tonight was Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram hitting the court.
Unfortunately, another Lakers rookie was slated to be in tonight's game but due to injury
Lonzo Ball would participate in a ton of media opportunities, but did not play in the Rising
Stars game.
For the most part, the game had a ton of offense with minimal defense.
I was also a little thrown with Joel Embiid playing in tonight's game considering he
would be playing in the real All-Star game on Sunday, but we all know Embiid loves getting
his attention.
Now looking at our Lakers players Kuzma had a nice night scoring 20 points on the night
including 7 rebounds.
From knocking down a buzzer-beating shot to spin moves and dunks that were sweet Kuz did
his thing to represent for the Lakers tonight.
As for Brandon Ingram, he was pretty quiet on the night only scoring 8 points with 3
rebounds.
Looking at Ingram it almost felt like he was disengaged throughout the night, but Ingram
does have that type of personality so I don't know.
Pretty much the game was a mini-version of what you might see on Sunday.
Quite a bit of bad basketball and even boring at points.
Also, a bit of news post game came from Lonzo mentioning that prior to Larry Nance Jr being
traded he was supposed to help Nance in the dunk contest so we shall see if that still
happens on All-Star Saturday night.
