- for apothekes distribution, one of the 3 ways, auto cultivation licenses, or membership clubs, now 64

- authorized clubs. There is already 7200 growers registered and 13500 for apothekes dispensation.

- Then, farming ministry grants industrial cannabis licenses and public health grants medicinal licenses.

- This kind of activity has a complete traceability level and today is an advance for our country about

- patients access with medical prescriptions. During a few years we've been waiting for implementation that

- give access to apothekes dispensation, that needed agreements because this is a controled vegetal species,

- with quality controls at different levels, thc and cbd quantities, or production conditions that includes

- micro organisms, toxicities... So a process that united all institutions needed to grant licenses

- to those 22 companies that competed for 2 licenses. When the system starts to work, it's probably that

- they need to grant licenses to other companies... The necessary time to grant usuaries the stablished by the law.

- There were a few opinions of apothekes that didn't wanted to take part at the beginning, and we had to

- resolve how those apothekes signed a contract to, trought a cannabis stock control,

- developed by a tecnician inside the apothekes center, we let free the first 16

- apothekes that started the project to demonstrate that this system could be perfectly implemented.

- Now we're hoping to avoid bank accounts obstacle, because this activity is restricted

- internationally, not in Uruguay because there is a law that clears it's not illegal, but there is conflict with other

- economic control laws. We're working to open specific dispensaries for cannabis

- with an effective operative to palliate the current situation. In USA there are laws

- related with conventions and suspicious activities where banks must evaluate risks

- and in a lot of cases, they don't accept this activity as center of their accounts generation. That was the main

- problem and there is a delegation of our country talking with negociators of USA trying to arrive to a solution

- in USA to permit bank accounts related with this activity. Increase of registered from 5000 users to

- 13500 in 10 days give progressive confidence to normalize the situation, the objective of this law.

- We're first working on the decrete's modification to stablish conditions to let other insititutions exclusively

- dispense cannabis with official permission could be spaces that avoid problems with economic control

- working with effective money and being completely identified members and origins of production.

- This is not the ideal alternative to actual situation because existing a law, there should not be problems

- but that was the situation we lived those days. I think it's a really interesting international debate

- with different models in different countries looking for alternatives to an obsolete prohibitionist model.

- We understand that advances Europe countries or countries in our zone in access systems

- are alternatives to build a different situation with other perspectives of rights and citizen convivence.

- So it's really important to stay updated about all what's happening in the world.
