Manchester United transfer news: Jose Mourinho shelves plans to offload Andreas Pereira on loan
JOSE MOURINHO has shelved a possible loan move for Brazilian youngster Andreas Pereira. Several clubs have enquired about taking the 21-year-old midfielder on a temporary basis this summer.
Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is set to be involved with the first team squad this season.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho will not loan out the 21-year-old this season. He impressed during a year on loan in Spain with Granada and has caught the eye of Mourinho during pre-season.
The United chief spoke to him on the tour of the US and said as things stand he wants him to be part of the first team squad.
That could change if he lands a new midfielder this summer – with Nemanja Matic and Eric Dier still on his list of targets.
Pereira is keen to play first team football and would rather go out on loan again if he is not likely to get any at Old Trafford.
He has featured for the Red Devils in all of their pre-season games so far – against Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake.
A loan spell in La Liga proved to be hugely successful for the former PSV youth man.

Andrea Pereira impressed on a loan spell at Granada last season. In 37 games in all competitions for the Nazaries he netted five times, but couldnt stop them from relegation as they finished bottom of the table.
He made his debut for United in the 2014/15 season, where he featured twice – and was named as the Denzil Haroun Team Player of the Year.
His first goal for the senior side came in a 3-0 win over Ipswich Town in the League Cup in September 2015.
In total in the 2015/16 campaign he played 11 times, and was part of the side that clinched the FA Cup.
