Today it's sunday
And I am, again, in de Prinsentuin, because of Dichters in de Prinsentuin
this is the last afternoon that I can enjoy
a lot of
poets that I don't know yet, or I already know
The weather is not as good as yesterday, but that doesn't matter
it isn't raining
and that's what it's about
I am the host
for this whole weekend
it is a lot of fun, the athmosphere is really good
and the audience is nice
it is nice that you can have a conversation with the poets
before the go on stage (het theeveld)
yesterday evening was quite exciting
because we were in that big hall,
well, the nave of the Martinikerk
and [eh] yes that will make you nervous
you're at a table with four writers, four poets
among which Tjitske Jansen
Who always just [TATS] goes in to the discussion
and yes, that is very nice, and it is the most exciting
What do you think is the most fun thing you did this weekend?
what I did?
Oh wauw
It is so nice to go backstage and eat with the poets
ofcourse that isn't accessible to the audience
But eating with Rodhan Al Khalidi
And that broeder Dieleman is there
I just think the athmosphere between poets is beautiful
it is intimate, making jokes, and everyone is calm
I really like that
They are all such sweet people
you're also recording a podcast I've heard?
Yes, Ondercast (link in beschrijving)
we were asked to record everything
because this is the jubilee event
it will be on the website in September
and it's raining
yes On sunday
well, I will go in to the loofgangen because
it's gross
thank you
[translation of a poem by Esmé] it is, on first sunbeams, that thoughts do not [?]
they are alreay warmer than your nose
which is hidden in a scarf, doesn't want to know anything of mittens
there is whispering
kissing [?]
as if it is a secret
seas
what you will and will not take on holiday
eventhough you're racing though the city, you're still breathing autumn
you're already tasting may
and parasol and also, in zweet waves, icecream
it is as if your peddles know
where your nose is pointing
what blew you way over 'het Ei'
or a seagull screetches
you only understand, and only speak
Strattiatella
during summer you learn to speak new tastes
Speculaas en date
Mango, 'bokkenpootjes'
'bitterkoekjes', appelpie
you celebrate the city and the terraces
how things were in march, may
in june
the sunbeams and the scarf
that at the 'Westergasfabriek' already knows
I can go back in to the closet
The quiet in the 'loofgangen' has returned
we're going back to het theeveld'
to end the festival
I can't say more than
than that I've enyoed
all the words, all the language
all the poeple
the nice weather of yesterday
but I also really enjoyed
how people, for poetry
even stay here if it's raining
that is
that is special
it is special
and I think that is a good conclusion
for this festival
