what it's good YouTube warstu here with a video on Wonder 1/2 a ka 100 in
1984 so it was recently revealed that the movie had been pushed backwards by
seven months up to 2020 June which is cause caught some controversy in the
comic book world so a youtuber called grace randolph a cable on the trailer a
really big youtube channel is trying to suggest the reason why the movies being
pushed back is because they're going to reboot the DC EU with the one to a movie
i don't really think that's true it could happen but most likely not so
let's break down why and don't think that's gonna be the case because well
for one Cheeta is the villain we know cheaters the villain she's been seen on
set etc so there is one character Pedro Pascal who no one actually knows what
his role is but if he is playing a god if he is playing Hades then Hades and
cheetah in a flashpoint storyline doesn't really make any sense
but the argument that she's saying is it's been reported like it's kind of
factual but realistically what she's just saying is Steve Trevor is going to
be saved by Diana and essentially she's going to change a timeline and it will
reboot the DC EU now we all know the DC EU is in a bit of a mess but I don't
think really that's the case because we have a crank coming out later this year
which looks fantastic then we have Shazam which also looks awesome then we
have the joaquin phoenix version of the Joker now do I really think they're
going to reboot the DCE you know and obviously the flash movie played by Ezra
Miller obviously that's been pushed backwards as well because he's shooting
the next fantastic beasts so I don't think they're going to reboot the whole
DC EU just to save Steve Trevor now I know Steve Trevor was in the movie he's
been seen in it obviously he was at Comic Con this past summer with gal
gadot and patty Jenkins and all that kind of people but I don't really think
they're going to reboot the whole DC EU because movies tend to work like this a
movie does well repeat repeat repeat until it
well so one woman one was very successful but most importantly it was
critically successful the general audience loved it where is if you
compare it to Batman vs Superman or the Justice League critically and the
general audiences didn't like it mainly because they didn't understand it they
thought it's too dark but then when you go to gal gadot Spurgeon and wonder when
they loved it so why would they throw a wonderful movie and make it like a
massive crossover with lots of different characters because it is flashpoint
they're gonna have to bring Aquaman they're gonna have to bring Flash
they're gonna have to bring Batman etc into the role so at the moment the DC EU
or the world's DC depending on what you're actually calling it they're
focusing more on standalone movies with a minor crossovers if that so the scoop
I guess you could say that one 1984 is going to reboot the whole of the DC
extended universe I don't actually think it's true I do think it would have a
version of it would have to happen so let's say that we watched the movie and
Steve Trevor gets saved and then he's back in the current timeline in the
current year then if you know anything about comic books or you follow comic
book logic that would in theory change the timeline and then there be a
knock-on effect that would change things throughout of the timeline so if Street
Steve Trevor isn't more than a hallucination or a flashback scene or a
hologram if he actually is going to go forward and be alive then it would have
to change something but I don't think they're going to focus on whole reboot
around saving one character obviously if you've read the flash comics you've
watched the flashpoint paradox cut animated movie then you would know that
in that storyline Barry had to let reverse-flash kill his mother Nora Allen
in order to restore the timeline and stop the timeline changes so I don't
think they're gonna base a whole new DC universe around Steve Trevor as I don't
think he's that much of a big character in the whole overall plan for Warner
Bros you gotta understand one of us is in a bit of trouble at moment with the
movies the TV shows obviously do well the flash arrow legends tomorrow
Supergirl is doing quite well based on like critic
ratings so I don't think they're going to base our whole marketing strategy the
whole of the future of DC movies based around Steve Trevor and wonder one
though Wonder Woman is a very good property very successful property I
don't think it's gonna set reboot the whole DC EU if they are gonna do that it
will be with the flash movie but as we understand the flash movie at the moment
is a standalone movie but there's a lot of controversy in the DC world at the
moment there's even some reports saying that matarese isn't doing the Batman
movie anymore and he's out I mean Batman's in and out every other week
there's even rumors that Henry Cavill is still Superman
so I like to go over stories but I would say what Grace Randolph was saying was
more of a theory than anything factually correct because what happens in this
kind of world is if there is a rumor or a story going around you will have lots
of different outlets reporting a version of the same story but no one else seems
to reporting that the DC EU is going to be rebooted by the fat point paradox aka
like Wonder one two is gonna turn into a flashpoint storyline no one else seems
to report in this story I do think it's a pretty cool interest in theory but I
don't think it's correct I'm looking forward to wonder one 1984
I really hope Pedro Pascal does turn out to be Hades as I do like to see the gods
that would be very interesting who else do you think Pedro Pascal could we play
in Hades is the only I mean it's not confirmed
obviously the like to keep roles mystery but yeah guys let me know do you think
the scoop of Wonder 1 1984 being a flashpoint centric story is true from
what I've been told it's there just rejiggering it to give Wonder Woman a
better a better chance at the box office because obviously they've got the Joker
movie they want to give each other movies more time to stand alone and
basically just rejiggering Warner Brothers movie time slots like release
date really is what I'm being told is the actual reasoning for this and
obviously every movie does get reshoot so at some point reshoot for one one two
will happen and then people will come out and say oh it's get massive reshoot
but at the same time guys you have to understand
everyone said that justice Hebrew shoots were minor or meant were minor reshoot
and then they literally change the whole movie so it's sometimes it's hard to
know who to believe and who to follow because that justice Leary shoots change
the game they literally change the whole movie in the justice league reshoots but
I don't think this is any more than rejigging timeslots offer when the
movies actually get released if I'm honest anyway guys please like subscribe
