F1 news: Lewis Hamilton has 'no idea', Max Verstappen worry, McLaren problems revealed

Lewis Hamilton believes he will need another three races to work out exactly where everyone stands for the 2018 F1 season.

The reigning world champion could only finish second in the opening race of the year after Sebastian Vettel benefitted from a timely virtual safety car to take the lead from the pole-sitter.

And while the Mercedes appeared to have the qualifying pace over the Ferrari, both Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen showed good race pace. But Hamilton is not convinced anyone really knows who will be fastest as the season unfolds.

From my experience, you dont really get a good understanding until after four races, said Hamilton. Right now, its just the first race - I have no idea. We go to Bahrain and theres going to be ups and downs. Ferrari are really quick on the straights, they are going to be rapid in the next race, and they are always good when it comes to hot circuits. Bahrain, even though its a night race, is still tough on the tyres.

So I really have no idea - but I can tell you its not going to be easy and its going to be close.   Max Verstappen is worried about the lack of practice time in race conditions at next week's Bahrain Grand Prix.

The second race of the season sees the teams head to the Middle East before flying back for the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai. In 2014, the Bahrain Grand Prix was held under floodlights to celebrate its 10th running, an innovation that was so successful that all subsequent races have also been held in the same conditions. However, Verstappen is concerned that only one of the practice sessions are held under the lights.

"I always enjoy going to Bahrain, I have a few friends out there so it's always nice to catch up with them and enjoy the warmth," Verstappen said. "The weekend is an interesting one as you only have one session to understand how the car behaves under the night race conditions because the other two sessions are during the day, so it's a bit hot. "The track itself is very technical, you have some slow corners and then you end up in some really fast corners which makes it a fun circuit.

"Driving under the lights is always nice as we don't get a lot of opportunity throughout the year.   McLaren have admitted that they arrived at pre-season testing in Barcelona underprepared and it has had knock-on effects in the early season. McLaren endured yet another tricky two weeks in Spain as their car repeatedly broke down, leaving them with limited running time.

But their race pace was impressive and Fernando Alonso equalled his best-ever result - fifth - since rejoining the team in 2015.

However, team boss Eric Boullier reckons they might have found themselves even further up the grid had they brought upgrades to the race. We were obviously not prepared for Barcelona and Im glad we fixed the reliability issues for the weekend, Boullier told Motorsport.com. But during the last few weeks [before the race] we spent our energy fixing the reliability issues and not bringing the upgrade faster to the track. So we are going to have another batch coming in Bahrain, which should have been in Australia..

James Corden's Celebrity News Team Investigates Who Bit Beyoncé

Someone bit Beyoncé and lived to tell about it. After several leads turned out to be to dead ends, James Corden and his celebrity news team tried to crack the case on The Late Late Show.

In Thursdays hilarious parody, Helen Hunt opened it by saying, Welcome to CBS This Evening.. Its the evening, Corden said. Its CBS This Evening.. Good evening, everyone, Hunt told viewers. Thats right, Corden said.

Its been five days since this story was first reported, and with every additional day that passes, this is quickly becoming one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of our time. Hunt agreed with her co-anchors assessment of the situation, saying, Indeed.

At this point, there are only two worlds that exist: The world before March 26, 2018, and the world after March 26, 2018.or whenever you saw the story trending on Twitter..

Corden continued, So, the unanswered question still remains: Who bit Beyoncé? Hunt then introduced CBS This Evenings elite investigative news team: Chris ODowd and Ben Schwartz.

Before ODowd could share his report, Corden turned his attention to Hunt. James, as we all know, news of Beyoncés alleged biter first broke after a GQ interview with Tiffany Haddish went viral earlier this week, she said.

One thing we know for sure is that according to Tiffany Haddish—and now confirmed by Chrissy Teigen—the person who bit Beyoncé is an actress.. Actresses are crazy, Corden said. Am I right—or am I right?.

Cut to Schwartz, who was on the ground. The denials keep rolling in, and as of now, Lena Dunham, Jennifer Lawrence and Frances McDormand have all denied biting Beyoncé, he said.

Back in the studio, Hunt cleared herself, insisting, Helen Hunt has also denied biting Beyoncé.. If she did bite Beyoncé, how would she do it? Corden asked. And what would it taste like?.

Lemonade, probably, Schwartz quipped. When the camera turned to ODowd, he used graphics to illustrate his findings. As you can see from this chart, these are the ladies—all of the single ladies, ODowd said.

Now, to the left, to the left, everything we know is in a box to the left. And everything we know is still nothing.. There you have it, Corden said, seemingly satisfied.

Well be back with more breaking developments regarding who bit Beyoncé, Corden continued. Moments later, he yelled, This just in. The person who bit Beyoncé was actually—.
