PlayStation News: Sony PS4 Pro 4K Updates, PSVR games boost, NEW PS4 controller from Hori

In PlayStation Pro news this week it was revealed that console owners would be getting a raft of games which could make use of the extra processing power of the PS4 Pro.

One of these new additions included Ubisofts Assassin's Creed Rogue, originally a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game released back in 2014.

The remaster, coming March 20th, is once again being overseen by Ubisoft Sofia whove managed to overhaul the whole game to ensure crisp 4K graphics on PlayStation 4 Pro.

Talking about the games enhancements in a press release, Ubisoft said: Thanks to the higher resolution, improved environment rendering, visual effects and textures, Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered will offer an even more beautiful and immersive gaming experience that invites fans of the series and new players alike to discover, or rediscover, Shay's adventures in 18th century North America.  Another big new PS4 Pro addition coming to the console is Dark Souls Remastered on May 25th, which will allow fans of the original game (or anyone who might have missed it) to (re)-experience the original Dark Souls in 4K resolution on PS4 Pro.

However, in a correction to the original blogpost, its now been revealed that the game will not launch with HDR lighting for the PS4 Pro version.

In PSVR news, Sony has announced that they have well over 100 new games being planned for the popular virtual reality peripheral this year.

As the first-mass marketed virtual reality experience on the high street, the PlayStation VR has been a surprise (albeit limited) boon for Sony.

However, its success among gamers has given Sony the green light to make a load more VR games, with the company promising upwards of 130 new titles for the headset in 2018 alone.

Bosses reckon the machine, which plugs into and is powered by your PS4 console, owes its great start to its ever dropping price.

In a statement to Nikkei, Sony said it expects to increase its PS VR titles by around 80% by the end of 2018 to 280 games.

Back in October we saw the price drop of the PlayStation VR unit and it is currently on sale at high street store Game in the UK for as little as £225.

Comparatively, PSVRs main two Virtual Reality rivals still cost markedly more. The Oculus Rift headset currently costs £399 in John Lewis, whilst HTC Vive retails for around £599.

Finally, for this week, Sony has announced another new PS4 controller that will be released this coming week on January 15th.

The Onyx wireless controller is the latest third-party PS4 pad from accessories maker, Hori, who last year released a series of new officially licensed controllers for the PS4 including the rather neat looking mini pad for kids.

Hori says the ranger was intended to reflect the community's diverse playstyle and help introduce new people to the great games and entertainment available on PS4.

In the spirit of this, we can only assume that the latest Hori pad is intended to introduce Xbox players to the PS4, as the new Onyx shares quite a bit of similarity with Microsofts chunky pad.

In addition to featuring all core controls and direct Bluetooth connectivity, the Onyx packs into its broad grip design a touch pad, dual vibration motors and offers asymmetrical sticks, claims the third-party maker.

The only details not mentioned in the PlayStation blog post is that the wireless controller doesn't include the standard DualShock 4's light bar, or a headphone jack or built-in speaker. So, although it looks the part, there is some trade-off on functionality.

You can say that a 20th anniversary album from g.o.d is quite possible at this point.   g.o.d made their official debut in 1999 under JYP Entertainment, quickly rising to fame.

Since the release of their 7th album Into the Sky in 2005, the members have been focusing on their solo promotions. Happy 19th anniversary, g.o.d!    .
