The heartwarming moment father with terminal cancer walks his daughter down the aisle after a generous business owner helps couple pull off their dream wedding in just six weeks

Elyce Fulford, 31, and her partner Justin, from Melbourne, had been together for 16 years but had never been able to afford the wedding of their dreams.

With three children under seven and a single income, the couple had shifted a wedding to the bottom of the priority list.

But when Mrs Fulfords father, Hugh, 71, suffered an almost fatal infection in December due to cancer complications, Mr Fulford insisted they marry as soon as possible so Hugh could walk his daughter down the aisle.

And thanks to the help of a generous community and one very kind business owner, Mrs Fulford was walking down the aisle on the arm of her proud father within just six weeks.

This is the moment a father with terminal cancer was able to walk his daughter down the aisle after a wedding was pulled together within just six weeks.

Elyce Fulford, 31, and her partner Justin, from Melbourne, had been together for 16 years but had never been able to afford the wedding of their dreams (pictured with their three children).

My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012 and was given a five year timeframe so at the moment we are just taking things day by day, Mrs Fulford told FEMAIL.

In December an infection of the bladder nearly killed him and after that Justin came home and said We are getting married.

We had never had enough money to do anything like that so I was shocked but Justin wanted to see Dad walk me down the aisle and for me to have that moment.

He said we would pull it off no matter what it took.. The pair started planning that night and within a matter of hours, they had a celebrant and a date.

In December an infection of the bladder nearly killed him and after that Justin came home and said We are getting married, she said . While a March wedding was the plan, the pair decided to move it forward given Hughs condition.

Dad was absolutely gobsmacked when he saw me in my dress. Mrs Fulford then went on Facebook and posted in the Healthy Mummy support group - a support page related to a weight loss program she had been following for 17 months.

I had lost 22 kilograms with the program and the support page was really amazing so I posted asking if any of the women had any recommendations for cheap wedding dresses as I only could budget around $300, she said.

Immediately I was flooded with messages from women offering to loan or give their dresses to me - the support from them is just one in a million.

We had never had enough money to do anything like that but Justin wanted to see Dad walk me down the aisle and for me to have that moment, Mrs Fulford said .

Founder of Healthy Mummy, Rhian, surprised Mrs Fulford with a bunch of flowers and offered to buy her wedding dress after she spotted a post from her asking for cheap dress suggestions.

I couldnt stop crying - I never ask for anything and I didnt know how to handle it. It was just so wonderful and generous, she said . I did want a new dress though because you only get married once.

The next morning, Mrs Fulford discovered a message in her inbox from one of the Healthy Mummy team members asking for her address as they wanted to send her something.

A day later, she returned home after school pickup to find a large bunch of flowers and a note from the owner, Rhian Allen.

She said congratulations on our upcoming wedding and said she wanted to buy me a dress, Mrs Fulford said.

Mrs Fulford said she attended fittings soon afterwards and when she tried on a third dress, she knew it was the one and said she felt absolutely beautiful .

When the couple surprised Hugh with the news of their fast tracked wedding, he was absolutely blown away and couldnt wait to be there by their sides.

I just had that feeling, I felt so beautiful and I just knew immediately that this was the dress for me. It was thousands of dollars and it was beyond anything I could have ever afforded, she said.  .

On January 19, Mr and Mrs Fulford said I do in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the western suburbs of Melbourne in front of 40 guests.

Dad was so chuffed we were able to do it and he was absolutely gobsmacked when he saw me in my dress, she said .

Mum said he was thrilled and spoke about how awesome it was that night and how happy he was that Justin and I finally got married.

The whole community really came together for me and I just cant express how thankful I am.

Without Rhian and my amazing friends and family and Dad who chipped in once he knew the wedding was happening, theres no way we could have done this.

It was truly wonderful and it just shows the difference an act of kindness can make.        .

Coronation Street news: You won't believe what's coming to Weatherfield…

Coronation Street cast members Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie) and Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) left viewers perplexed in last nights episode when they brandished cardboard Costa cups while having a chat in Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) salon.

None of the characters had ever been seen going into a Costa on the soap, nor had the chain been discussed by the characters.

The confusion caused Coronation Street fans to come up with their own ideas on Twitter.

Since when has there been a Costa Coffee on Coronation Street? Everyone is suddenly walking around with Costa Cups.

Roy is about to go out of business, one tweeted.

Wheres Costa Coffee in Weatherfield then? another asked.

"Wheres Costa Coffee in Weatherfield then?" Twitter user And a third said: Are my eyes deceiving me or did I just see BRANDED Costa coffee cups on Corrie?! This is too far.

Ain't no one gonna believe there's a Costa in Weatherfield. ITV has now announced that it has agreed to partner up wth Costa and Co-op.

The stores are part of the extended Weatherfield set and will be fully branded, with other assets such as posters, bags and cups integrated across the ITV soap.

The new partnership deal will also include digital and brand-licensing aspects for both brands, enabling them to use Coronation Street assets and extend the partnership off-air.

Mark Trinder, Sales Director, ITV said: The expansion of the Coronation Street set has given us a great opportunity to feature branded shop facades as more of Weatherfield is opened up to viewers.

Incorporating product placement on this scale is something we have wanted to do for some time and we're delighted with this exciting opportunity.

Weve worked really closely with the Coronation Street team to make sure we've got a great brand fit for Co-op and Costa Coffee with the nation's favourite soap while still ensuring editorial integrity. But what does this mean for Roys Rolls and the Corner Shop? Well, we dont know yet.

But Co-op and Costa will be coming to the cobbles from Spring 2018.

Coronation Street continues tomorrow night at 7:30pm on ITV.

Former anorexic Hannah Lucas is now a healthy size 12 | news 24h - Duration: 18:39.

'I looked 60 years old': Ex-anorexic who weighed FOUR STONE by surviving on 100 calories a day turns her life around to become a healthy size 12 - after almost dying

An former anorexic who almost died after her weight plummeted to just four stone has revealed her amazing transformation.

Hannah Lucas, from Wallasey, Merseyside, developed the eating disorder when she was a teen and dropped from 13-and-a-half stone after surviving on a diet of apple slices and yoghurt.

The 23-year-old claims her skeletal appearance made her look 60 years old and she was so weak that she had to use a wheelchair and was unable to wash herself.

Now the aspiring teacher, who was hospitalised four times, is a healthy size 12 and looks like a completely different person as she marks a year since starting her recovery journey.

Hannah Lucas saw her weight drop to four stone in the throes of anorexia, but following a recovery period she has made her way up to a healthy size 12 .

Hannah said: It began when I was about 15 years old. I was quite a large kid and I got bullied about my weight. I was in a relationship for about six years and he made me feel low about myself.

I wanted to teach bounce (dance fit) as well and my dance teacher said all dance teachers have got to be slim.

I started going on a diet and it would be diet after diet and before I knew it I had an eating disorder.

It was a gradual thing. I started to lose weight and people noticed and started complementing me and saying that I looked good. Spurred on by the positive feedback Hannah began to become obsessive about her weight loss.

Hannah was hospitlised with her parents warned that she wouldnt make it through the night after she became too weak to even walk . She now makes an effort not to weigh herself in order to avoid developing unhealthy eating patterns again.

She continued: I weighed 13 and a half stone and at my lowest I got to four stone. The thoughts used to come into my head that I could not eat the things I used to eat.

My calorie count went down from 1,500 to 200 and I could only eat certain things. If I ate something else I would have a break down.

I used to eat the little bags of sliced apples and once my boyfriend bought me one with grapes in. I had a grape and starved myself the next day because I ate something I thought I was not allowed.

The thoughts coming into my head were that I was greedy and fat. There was an overwhelming feeling of guilt and it was horrible - it was constantly on my mind.

Hannah began dieting at the age of 15 reducing her calorie intake from 1,500 calories to just 200 a day.

Intially when she visted the doctors at eight stone, they refused to acknowledge the problem, but after she dropped a further stone within three weeks she was referred to a clinic.

I would be doing dance and walking everywhere until I became too weak and had to give it up. As her weight dropped Hannahs family became concerned seeking medical help for the problem.

She said: When I was 18 my sister Kate took me to the doctors. I was about eight stone at the time and they sent me away and said there was nothing wrong with me. .

I lost another stone within three weeks and a different doctor started to take it seriously.

I was going through a hard time. My mum was diagnosed with cancer and had to have her arm amputated and my sister was suffering with post-natal depression.

I couldnt handle it and my way of coping with it was to not eat. Hannah admits that dealing with her mothers cancer diagnosis and her sisters post-natal depression lead her unhealthy eating habits as a coping method.

Hannah says that her beloved Bichon Frise Ted was a major factor in helping her to recover. I was eating about 100 calories a day - usually just yoghurt.

Hannah was referred to an eating disorder clinic after being told if she did not go in voluntarily she would be sectioned.

Hannah said: It felt like being in prison and at first I did not feel like it was helping me. My first stay was seven months and my longest stay was 10 months.

When I was first admitted I knew I had an issue but I was in denial. I knew it wasnt normal but I did not know I had an eating disorder..

Hannah was discharged after she started to put weight on but struggled with not having an eating routine and her weight dropped again.

She was eating around 200 calories a day but started to increase that too quickly and suffered from refeeding syndrome which can be fatal. Hannah said: My body just started to shut down. My face just sank in and I went yellow.

My dad was asking whats happened to you? and I was pretending I was okay but I could not feel my heart rate.

My pulse dropped to 34 beats per minute and I was taken to hospital and put on a heart monitor.

I couldnt bend down because I could not get back up again. I was not able to walk or lift my head off the pillow.

They were feeding me through a tube but my body was not agreeing with it. I was just losing more weight. Hannah is hoping to go into schools to talk to teens about anorexia.

They had to section me as I told them Im not eating anything. I didnt eat for eight days.

I went down to four stone. I was screaming I want to die. I thought I was going to die. I could not see the point in living anymore..

Her condition continued to deteriorate while she was in hospital with doctors fearing she had sepsis. She said: I had to have a blood transfusion.

The doctors actually phoned my mum a couple of days before Christmas and said I dont think shes going to make it through the night.

Miraculously Hannah pulled through and spent the next five months being fed through a tube and using a wheelchair because she was unable to walk.

She said: I could not wash myself or do anything. My mum had to lift me up and carry me to the shower.

I did not realise how bad I looked. My mum had bought me a Christmas present of a make-up set with a mirror. Looking in the mirror I was like that person is not me. I was properly shocked by it.

I had to learn to walk again. I was using a zimmer frame.

I was too weak to walk on my own and was like that for a good few months. The physio said it would take a long time for me to learn to walk again but I was very determined..

Hannah was admitted to an eating disorder clinic two more times after she hit rock bottom with her clinician eventually discharging her so she could continue her recovery in the community.

Hannah said: It had wrecked my friendships and relationships. I thought I cant do it anymore. Gradually I started eating again. I struggled but it was better than the thought of going back into hospital.

I had seen people in the clinic who were 50 years old and I was determined not to be that person.

A consequence of her illness is that Hannah now suffers osteoporosis and has had two falls resulting in a broken coccyx and shoulder.

She said: My recovery has been gradual and its been really tough. There are so many times when I think I want to relapse but I cant.

I lost who I was when I was ill. There was nothing there. Someone could have given me the world and I would not have been bothered.

I did not think I would get my personality back but I feel like I have now.

There are good days and bad days. Im still not happy with how I look but I suppose everyone is always unhappy about something. I think I will always find a fault.

My family is helping me get through it. They are so proud. They did not think I would get to this point.. One thing that has made a huge difference to Hannahs life is her beloved Bichon Frise Ted.

Hannah said: I think he is the one who has really helped me. I was still in hospital when my sister picked him up at eight weeks old.

I fell in love with him instantly. I know it sounds mad but I think thats what made me recover. He makes me feel happy when Im sad. When Im down he will cuddle me. Hes helped me a lot.

I am hopeful about the future now and I want to raise awareness about the condition. I do not think people realise how serious it can be. My doctor told me he thought I was the worst case he had come across.

I think it was a way of dealing with other things going on in my life. Now when I have a bad day I know I still have to eat.

Im eating three healthy meals a day and Im looking forward to going back to the gym.

I dont know how much I weigh but Im now a healthy size 12 to 14. I dont weigh myself as I know if I did I would go backwards. Ive made an agreement not to do it.

People say I look like a different person. I looked like an old woman.

I would say I looked at least 60 years old. I find it hard to look at pictures of myself because I know it looks like a completely different person but I also feel like a different person now..

Hannah is hoping to go into schools to talk to teens about anorexia and has ambitions of becoming a teacher or working in mental health.

She said: I had a nurse who did not understand the condition and would say things like there are people starving in Africa. Having been through it I think I could help because I have an understanding.

It is a mental illness. People think you lose weight to be skinny but its not about that. It gets in your head.

In hospital you feel like you have to have your meals at certain times and I would panic if I didnt. Now I eat when I want to eat and I am able to go out for meals.

This time last year I would not have done that because I would be worried people would think I was greedy. Now it doesnt bother me which is really good..

I would say to other people going through it not to be ashamed. Its when you open up about it that you start to get better. .
