MONSTA X Talks About Their Meaningful Performance On "Sugar Man 2"

MONSTA X has shared their thoughts on their especially meaningful performance on the latest episode of JTBCs Sugar Man 2.

The group appeared as guests on the April 1 broadcast of the music variety program, which features popular artists putting a modern spin on classic hit songs.

The episode was a particularly emotional one, as it focused on two legendary singers who had passed away at an early age. Soompi. Display. News. English. 300x250. Mobile. English. 300x250. ATF.

MONSTA X performed a new rearrangement of the late Kim Sung Jaes As I Told You, the only solo hit the singer released before tragically passing away at the age of 23.

Although his career only lasted five years, Kim Sung Jae left an indelible mark on K-pop history as a member of the immensely popular duo Deux, whose songs are still famous in Korea to this day.

Not only did MONSTA X perform As I Told You, but they also honored Kim Sung Jae through a dance cover medley of Deuxs greatest hits.

After the broadcast, the idols commented, It was a tremendous honor and joy to be able to perform the song of an amazing senior artist who left his mark on music history.

The performance was very special [for us], and we will never forget and always remember the music and performances of Kim Sung Jae and Choi Jin Young..

MONSTA X had previously covered the original version of Kim Sung Jaes As I Told You on a special episode of KBSs Music Bank last year.

Devastation after fatal crash ripples through Hamilton community

Siamak Mosaferi would watch his eldest son Arteen closely as the boy played on their quiet Hamilton cul-de-sac.

The four-year-old, who first laid eyes on his baby brother earlier this year, was always outside riding his bike and his dad was always there watching him, making sure he never rode past the end of the driveway.

It was a common sight for neighbours on their Huntington street, a sight that will never be played out again.

On Good Friday the preschooler with bright brown eyes and a cheeky grin and his only sibling, two-month-old Radeen, were fatally injured when the vehicle they were in collided with another car and two trucks on the Desert Rd near Waiouru.

Arteen died at the scene and Radeen died at Starship Hospital on Sunday from injuries sustained in the crash.

Their mother, Dr Mohadeseh Sharifi, a scientist for AgResearch, is in a critical condition at Waikato Hospital.

She does not know that her two babies have died. .

Their father suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

The family were heading south for Easter Weekend when the crash happened.

And neighbours of the family are reeling from the loss.

One neighbour, Edward Scott, said the last time he saw the tight-knit family was on Thursday.

Its horrible, they are a really nice family, Scott said from his driveway on Monday afternoon.

We used to see them every morning.

My wife saw the family on Wednesday, and then on Thursday we saw them packing up the car for their holiday.

You never think anything like this would happen.

Scott described the family as private, but saw how much they doted on their children.

The little boy was always outside riding his bike, but his dad was always there watching him.

He was very protective of his son and wouldnt allow him to ride in the quiet cul-de-sac alone, only to the end of the driveway.

The kids were always playing - the young boy would play with my dogs through the back fence.

The family came a long way to this quiet corner at the bottom of the world.

Mosaferi is originally from Bandar-e Anzali in Iran.

He and his wife moved to New Zealand after he graduated from Azad University in 2008.

He gained his Master of Engineering Degree from Auckland University in 2013, before he joined Stiles and Hooker Architects + Engineers in 2014.

Director Tony Wade said the family had become an integral part of the company.

Sia is a hard-working and valuable member of our close-knit family-orientated business.

[He] is an active participant in office social events and a proud family man.

The tragic outcome of Fridays accident is a huge shock to the directors and fellow staff, and our hearts go out to Sia, Mohy and the wider family.

AgResearch science group leader Jolon Dyer said fellow scientists are in shock after learning about the crash.

Dr Mohy Sharifi is an enthusiastic and much-loved member of the team, Dyer said.

We were shocked to learn what has happened to Mohy, and the terrible loss she has suffered.

Mohys colleagues at AgResearch will be doing all they can to support her and her family through this very difficult time.

Back in Huntington, Scotts eyes look over the route that Arteen would take on his bike.

I just dont know how you would cope coming back to the house.

All the memories..

The Serious Crash Unit and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team are investigating the cause of the crash.

Six people lost their lives on the nations roads over the 2018 Easter long weekend.

The toll has surpassed last years Easter weekend of two.

The official holiday period began at 4pm Thursday and ended at 6am Tuesday. .

Late night park partiers leave condoms, smashed glass and poo[News NZ 24h] - Duration: 4:44.

Late night park partiers leave condoms, smashed glass and poo

Otahuhus prettily-named Seaside Park, in South Auckland, has become a late night party cesspit where revellers drive in to play thumping music until dawn.

Early morning dog walkers dodge the aftermath: smashed beer bottles, human faeces, used condoms, and bleary-eyed stragglers urinating on the path.

Fed up with sleepless nights and hazardous mornings, local residents took the matter into their own hands over Easter Weekend.

Retiree Jess Denholm lead the charge — blocking the parks entrance with temporary metal fencing and her own campervan ahead of Thursday nights party, alongside a bunch of supporters.

She said her protest blockade would happen every night until Auckland Council installed a lockable gate at the mouth of the park.

r fields, a 2km walkway skirting the waters edge, and a badminton club.

Its long driveway lead to a carpark that did get locked at night, but the driveway itself was lined with parking spaces and thats where the parties were held.

On Thursday night Denholms group turned away about 60 cars between 6pm and 4am.

Its not our job but the reality is we have to do something, she said.

Not only can we not sleep at night with the booming music and screeching tyres, but people drive away absolutely trolleyed and its only a matter of time before theres a tragedy, she said.

Denholm said the parties had been happening every weekend since Christmas, and that an average gathering had at a minimum 25 cars and 75 people.

Word has spread somehow that this is the place to be, she said.

I spoke to one woman, from Onehunga, who told me she comes here because Cornwall Park gets locked at night..

She said she had reported the parties to Auckland Council and requested a gate be installed — but had yet to get a response.

The councils head of operational management and maintenance Agnes McCormack confirmed that a request for a chain or bollards at Seaside Parks entrance had been made late last week.

[It] will take a few days to install, she said.

In the meantime, we have requested a guard to be on-site at night to stop people congregating to party..

Māngere-Ōtāhuhu local board chairperson Lemauga Lydia Sosene said boozy late night gatherings in parks were a big problem throughout her ward and she encouraged Denholms group to get in touch.

That sort of anti-social behaviour is very unwanted and I sympathise with residents, she said.

Seaside Park has an alcohol ban, so the gatherings are definitely illegal.

Local accountant Sharon Colemans morning runs around the park had improved since Denholms blockade had been in place.

It was just disgusting, all the stuff wed see, and the noise at night was intimidating, she said.

But its been great this weekend because theres been no smashed bottles or rubbish — usually theres KFC and McDonalds wrappers everywhere..
