F1 News: Fernando Alonso 'makes phone contact' about blockbuster move AWAY from McLaren

But it won't be Mercedes or Ferrari for the Spaniard with neither interested in his services. The McLaren driver started the 2018 season well with a fifth place finish in the Australian Grand Prix last weekend.

And it seems the team's switch to Renault engines from Honda has immediately proved worthwhile. But Spanish outlet Diario Gol say Alonso is in shock conversation with former Ferrari chief Stefano Domenicali who is now the CEO of Lamborghini. The sports car company are considering entering F1 and would like the former world champion as their top driver to compete as far forward on the grid as possible.

Alonso has a good relationship with Domenicali from their time together at Ferrari. McLaren will be hoping Lamborghini do not enter the sport and they can keep hold of one of the best drivers on the grid.

Alonso was happy with McLaren's performance in the Australian Grand Prix. He explained after the race in Melbourne: "It was more or less expected to be honest. We knew we had a strong race pace and better than Qualifying. We capitalised on some of the problems that others had. "We had attacks from Verstappen all the last 20 laps and we were able to defend.

"I'm happy, it was great work from the team, the integration of our power unit in two or three months and we redesigned some of the car last winter. "Now we are here, both cars in the points, fifth place so happy and a good starting point. "It is the first race with this combination so a lot more to come and hopefully from Bahrain we will see another step forward and Red Bull will be the next target." F1 returns with the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, April 8.

Alonso will once again be hoping to get some more world championship points under his belt to get off to a solid start in 2018. Sebastian Vettel will look to make it two wins on the bounce for Ferrari.

Discussing the option, he said: "My clause isn't that high, everyone knows it. "It's something that concerns me, but I don't particularly care about it right now.".

Kim Jong Un's Reaction A Live K-Pop Performance - AMAZING NEWS - Duration: 5:05.

Kim Jung Un is now the first North Korean leader to witness a K-Pop concert.

This was his reaction!.

A total of 120 South Korean artists and performers flew to Pyongyang for a performance in commemoration of the inter-Korean summit to be held next month.

The performance will be held from March 31st to April 3rd.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made a surprise appearance at this event on April 1st, making him the first North Korean leader to witness a K-Pop concert.

He was captured standing on the second floor of the hall clapping, seemingly enjoying the performance.

He took the time to meet the artists after the performance and shook hands with each of them.

He also told the South Korean performers that they should hold these intercultural art performances more frequently.

Moreover, he showed interest in Red Velvet as he was quoted saying, "I heard there has been much interest in whether I would show up to see Red Velvet.

I was going to come to the performance on the 3rd but adjusted my schedule to come today.".

A rare shot of Kim Jong Un and Red Velvet's Irene has been gaining attention from the netizens as well.

"It's not photoshopped, it's real!!".

"This will be the talk of the year ㅋㅋ".

"Kim Jung Un looks surprisingly tall.

I thought he would be a little over 170cm at best.".

The Pyongyang performance so far has been well-received by the North Korean audience with some of them singing along to Red Velvet's songs and giving the performers a standing ovation.
