Waching daily Apr 30 2018

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News, I am Luke Owen.

Headline: Tomasso Ciampa: Ultimate Heel

The dastardly black heart Tomasso Ciampa has been on a heel tear since returning to NXT

earlier this year.

He cost Johnny Gargano his career, and then sent him to the hospital before his NXT Championship

match against Aleister Black.

But this time he's gone too far!

Ignoring Disney and Marvel Studio's very well crafted campaign of Thanos Demands Your

Silence to stop people spoiling the record-breaking Avengers: Infinity War - which is terrific

by the way - Ciampa took to Twitter to spoil the ending of the movie.

"Just saw Avengers.

Thanos is basically me."

Whoa, whoa whoa!

We're not reading that out on here!

Thanos demanded my silence!

Look at my badge!

[5-screen] What a heel.

What a controversial tweet.

Speaking of controversial!

We're off to the races with segues this week boys and girls!

Headline: WWE Return To Saudi Arabia Confirmed

WWE's Greatest Royal Rumble went off without a hitch this past Friday.

At least I think it did.

Braun won a lime green belt - was that what this was all about?

[06] Oh, and Titus O'Neill fell over.

But the show wasn't without its controversies.

Hornswoggle wasn't thrown over the top rope to be eliminated, Roman Reigns was SCREWED

out of the Universal Championship - his feet touched the floor first! - and Saudi Arabia

had to apologise for WWE airing the single greatest promo video for dual-branded PPVs

that has ever been produced.

This is going to be controversial.

But even with all of its controversies, the partnership isn't over.

While the exact terms of WWE and Saudi Arabia's relationship have yet to be officially revealed

- although some reports claim the company was paid upwards of $200 million - Riyadh

Report's Twitter account is claiming that WWE will be returning to Saudi Arabia for

another show - and it could be sooner than you think.

The Twitter account - who had access to the royal family dinner with WWE wrestlers and

Vince McMahon - report the show will take place in November 2018 in the country's

capital of Riyadh.

November, eh?

Greatest Survivor Series anyone?

Headline: Real Reason Sami Zayn Pulled From Greatest Royal Rumble

And one man who might not be there for the November shows is Sami Zayn, who was pulled

from the Greatest Royal Rumble show.

On the Monday Night Raw prior to the event, Sami cut a promo about how he and Kevin Owens

were going to win the 50-man Royal Rumble match, but Zayn ended up not being on the

show at all WWE issued a statement in response to Sami not being in Saudi Arabia saying,

"WWE is committed to embracing individuals from all backgrounds while respecting local

customs and cultural differences around the world."

Zayn posted on Twitter, "Je suis chez moi", which translated from French means "I am

at home".

WrestlingNews.co first reported that WWE had offered all of its wrestlers the option to

stay at home if they disagreed with the country's politics - such as women not being allowed

to wrestle or even do backstage segments on the show - and claimed Zayn was one of the

people to opted to stay in the United States.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has however reported that Zayn was not booked for the

show for similar reasons to the female wrestlers.

Sami Zayn is of Syrian descent, and very publicly launched a relief fund campaign to help anyone

affected by the Syrian War called Sami For Syria - which raised nearly $100,000 to open

mobile clinics in the country in August through December of last year.

Syrian and Saudi Arabian ties have been very strained over the last few years, with Saudi

Arabia cutting off their relationship with the country and expelling the Syrian ambassador

in 2012.

Satin is reporting that "similar to the women, Sami Zayn was not booked to compete

on the show to respect the local culture in Saudi Arabia."

N. Korea to move its time zone to match Seoul's starting May 5th - Duration: 0:44.

North Korea announced there will be no more 'Pyongyang time' starting May 5th, as the

regime moves its time zone to match that of Seoul's.

According to the state-run Korean Central News Agency on Monday... that the decision

was made directly by its leader Kim Jong-un... as the first move to harmonize and unify the

people of the two Koreas.

North Korean time has been 30 minutes behind South Korea since August 2015, when the change,

a political gesture was implemented.

On Friday during his maiden summit with Seoul, Kim decided to change the time back.

Reportedly the young leader told President Moon Jae-in that it was heartbreaking to see

two different clocks showing two different time at the Peace House.

Inter-Korean peace efforts to carry on at global summits - Duration: 2:08.

The preparations for the historic inter-Korean event kept President Moon busier than ever,

but his work has only just begun.

From the Washington-Pyongyang meeting to the G7 Summit and the second round of inter-Korean

talks,... no rest of slowing down.

We turn to our Park Hee-jun for a look ahead at the hectic schedule.

Friday's inter-Korean summit was only the beginning of the diplomatic process of securing

peace on the Korean Peninsula.

President Moon now has a series of summits coming up with various parties involved in

affairs related to the Korean Peninsula -- lasting through the end of the year.

First off, in the beginning of May,... the leaders of South Korea, China, and Japan will

hold a three-way summit in Tokyo.

President Moon is expected to share the results of the inter-Korean talks,... and ask for

the two nations' support in efforts for peace.

That will be followed by a meeting between South Korea and the United States,... mostly

to discuss ways to ensure the success of President Trump's summit with Kim Jong-un.

It seems now the Trump-Kim summit will happen sooner than expected, in late May, after Trump

said last weekend that he'll be meeting with Kim in three to four weeks.

Chinese media have also been reporting that President Xi Jinping will visit Pyongyang

after the Trump-Kim talks,... but it's still unclear whether that will really happen.

The month of June will see a meeting between the leaders of South Korea and Russia.

That will be followed by the G7 meeting on June 8th and 9th in Canada,... where Trump

is expected to take the lead in international efforts to disarm North Korea.

President Moon is also pushing for multi-lateral talks sometime in June with the two Koreas,

the U.S., and possibly China -- to ensure the success of the North Korea-U.S. summit.

Then after the annual UN General Assembly meets in September,... there will be a second

inter-Korean summit.

The two Koreas agreed last week that President Moon would visit Pyongyang sometime this fall.

And sometime before the year comes to a close, three-party talks or four-party talks with

China will need to be held... to formally end a war that's lasted seven decades.

SETV News April 30, 2018 - Duration: 7:11.

[INTRO MUSIC]

[ANCHOR: HUNTER MANES] Hello and welcome to SETV News, I'm Hunter Manes, as I have been for the last 10 weeks...

Wait...I mean the news host.

I've always been me. But, anyway, today is April 30th the last day of April. I almost said May, but it's fine.

It's fine. Everything's fine.

Then it is finally May. It felt like it's been April for a really really really really really really really long time.

But anyway, let's get on with the news.

We want to start out by congratulating all students who participated in SkillsUSA States this year.

We will have more coverage on this in the coming weeks so stay tuned for interviews and photo galleries.

The plumbing shop hosted two special guests from the Plumbers and Gas-fitters Local 12 this last week.

Jim Vaughan & Rick Carter stopped by to deliver a $1,000 check for supplies to Southeastern Plumbing.

$1,000. That's a lot of stuff that they can buy. Mr. Vaughan and Mr. Carter were impressed by the work

demonstrated by Southeastern students at Open House this last fall.

They invited the plumbing seniors to apply and interview for a spot in the union this coming year.

Students will find out if they were accepted by the end of May. Congratulations and good luck.

Nine students and five teachers attending the Facing History & Ourselves New England Annual Benefit Dinner

at the Weston Copley Hotel in Boston last week.

I was lucky enough to attend this event myself, and it was a truly an honor.

Maura Healey, who was the Attorney of General of Massachusetts, was the keynote speaker.

The Southeastern history department currently has five teachers educating seniors in Facing History curriculum

this year, including a civil rights course that is new this year.

Thank you to Facing History and Ourselves for putting on such a wonderful event.

And, I just want to talk about Facing History really quick.

So this book was submitted by the Lowell

High School

Defining Diversity that has a bunch of essays from students. It has gotten attention from Joe Biden and a

bunch of other important figures in our USA political community.

So I suggest you pick this up and give it a read. It gives you an insight of what Facing History is all about

and how it impacts the students as a whole.

All right, let's move on to more fun stuff like...

winning headphones. Do you want a pair of Beats solo, three headphones?

I know you do. I know you do.

The freshman class is doing a fundraiser. You can buy tickets for the raffle during lunches this week.

May 4th of this week. May the 4th be with you! The drawing will be at the end of the day on the 4th.

Heidi Newhall was one of our staff members of the month. Heidi you are a wonderful woman and you deserve this more than anyone.

We have a short profile on this lady to share with you now take a look.

[INTERVIEW: HEIDI NEWHALL] My name is Heidi Newhall, and I'm a cafeteria worker, and I also run the 9/10 cooking classes.

And, I really enjoy the breakfast run.

The kids get excited when we show up, and the different things we have on our cart,

and they're like, "You're finally here! We're starving." They're happy and they're glad we've come.

Well, it's really fast-paced. You know and you're kind of under the gun to all the different lunches to make

sure that everything's ready to go when the kids are there.

So sometimes that can be a little stressful especially because we all have different jobs in the cafe, and we rotate.

Some of them are a little bit more challenging than others as far as getting

the food out and on the line and ready to go in time.

When we have 910,

after we've gone over a recipe, we put it all together prepared it and then seeing their faces

when it's all done. Like, "Wow, I did this. This is really good." Just to see you know that they accomplished

something and hopefully, they'll take it home with them and be able to do it on their own.

One of the things I do in my cooking class is in the last week. I let the kids

pick out certain things so we can't always get

certain ingredients because they might be too much money or

we don't have them available. So that last week is sort of a special week

and they can pick out recipes and

I have to look over its even get the ingredients see if we can get it prepped and cooked and

eaten in the time that we have for class

They have that ability to bring in their recipes and there's so many

different cultures in our school, and they'll bring in

Recipes that I've never made before our tasted. And, it's it's really neat to see their ideas

and test their ideas out because they've been trying a lot of mine during

during the course.

Yeah, feed the kids and make them happy you know make sure

sure, everybody has a good meal

[ANCHOR: HUNTER MANES] Congratulations, Heidi on the honor. It is so well deserved for a wonderful, wonderful caring lady like yourself.

All right the Class of 2019. Please listen, listen...juniors, juniors. I'm calling all juniors, right now.

You're going to begin your senior pictures for next year, so that's very important

so please listen. LifeTouch will be here starting April 30th.

They take your photos for the upcoming year. Each shoot will be scheduled in a rotation. Check with your shop teacher for your time slot.

Starting Monday, April 30th, seniors will be choosing the seats for senior prom during lunches in the cafeteria.

So go to Ms. Sousa and do that. Please work on creating tables of no more than 12. Check your email for a lot more details.

And yeah, no more than 12. Keep that in mind--no more than 12 seniors.

There is a senior video in the works. If you have photos or videos that are school appropriate, please let them

be school appropriate, please go to SERSDVIDEO.COM and click on the link to submit your content.

This video will be what you make it, so please submit what you have before May 11th. Videos are encouraged,

but please make them school appropriate like I just said.

The Trashion Fashion show is the week of April? I mean May 2nd. That is not April.

The goal of this bi-annual student production is to promote reducing, reusing and recycling. Earth Day, baby!

We need to promote that. If you're interested in attending one of the three shows then contact your

teachers and have them reserve tickets through Mrs.

ENOS at jenos@sersd.org. Students can attend this event by themselves, but the request for tickets must

come from a teacher. So do that.

Finally the Southeastern Technical Institute is having an Open House on May 10th.

This event runs from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. There is no need to register you can drop

in for 20-30 minutes even two hours. The choice is yours.

The goal is to meet with the staff and see if the STI is a good fit for you. If you fill in an application

during the event then the admissions fee of $20 is waves so

do that. It saves $20 so...who doesn't like free money? Well. It's not free, you already have the money but...

Anyway, you saved the money. Go do it! That is all that we have for you this week, Southeastern.

I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful...

week ahead.

GOOD NEWS 68 YEARS OF KOREAN WAR IS COMING TO AN END, BUT WHY NOW - Duration: 2:28.

GOOD NEWS 68 YEARS OF KOREAN WAR IS COMING TO AN END, BUT WHY NOW

BY RICHARD ENOS

For the first time since the inception of the country called North Korea in 1948, its

leader has set foot on South Korean soil, and for a good cause to bootto bring about

an official end to the Korean war and to work with his South Korean counterpart to rid the

Korean peninsula of nuclear weapons.

The true nature of what North Korea has been over the seven decades it has existed remains

somewhat of a mystery to me, as it does for most people.

When I lived in South Korea in the late 1990s, I got the general impression from Koreans

that, while some were wary of North Koreans (placards alerting citizens to report suspicious

activity/spying were ubiquitous in the subway system), by and large most Koreans I spoke

to felt that the two Koreas were one people who had been divided due to the conflicting

interests of superpowers China, the Soviet Union, and the United States.

And here is the reason it is very good news.

It tells us that these two states may now be under the influence of more benevolent

forces, or at minimum that previous masters like the Deep Statewho used North Korea

time and again for their political and perceptual purposes may have lost power over the area.

After all, a denuclearized, unified Korean peninsula living in peace is certainly of

no use to the Deep States usual strategy of maintaining war and conflict around the

world as much as they can.

Despite the incessant geopolitical conflict that seems to come across our airwaves these

days, there have been a growing number of signs that those who favor peace in our world

are gaining a foothold.

Though it may perhaps be a bit early to celebrate, this news of reconciliation between the two

Koreas, and the hope of an eventual reunification, is certainly promising news.

These times are changing.

This may also have something to do with the shift in consciousness we are experiencing.
