Antenna is broken! Started a little smoke again so we stop flying for caution

It's burnt, an ESC chip it's burnt and I put a 30 amps ones to be sure it was enough but
always same story
every time a motor stucks in the field, a branch or whatever
it tryes to keep on spinning and suck a lot of amps, that's why you have tu build a stronger ones better
Let's head home, that was the flight of the day & we have to fix this bug 'cause

Motor covers are also... well! this is broken, two of 'em has survived...
What your first impresions?
Truth is... I felt myself comfortable flying on FPV. I saw myself right 'till the crash momment that I lost the antenna
But fine, I noticed it's a heavy drone. It lacks power, in the momment I saw was
descending, it does
extremely fast,
unrecovery, I have to give full throttle and even like this it costs recover altitude. Hey! it's next to a half kilo drone, it's normal... but... well!
It's a big butt drone! But I'm happy I had a really good impression, truly yes!
We're back in the flying field. Second time we're gonna try
a flight test to see what's going on, hope this time I don't crash so often
ending with a big damage, so let's see how it behaves now
OHHHH! YESSS! It landed perfect! uh?
Well, once more back in the flying field
Yesterday we had a little issues with video signal
It looks when we were flying a bit far away, suddenly signal was lost and
we couldn't see anything
& it's a bit hard to control the quadcopter in this situation
'cause you panic seeing nothing & first thing you try to do it's land
So for this, hope you like it
look what I've got
rising a little bit the level
I got those cones
they're simple soccer training cones & what we're gonna do it's connect the drone's battery
connect receiver and walk further with it 'till we barely loose signal
so a bit before where we still have a more or less clear signal, I'm gonna place some cones, to desing an area
where we can move
without loose video signal, so let's see if I can show you something decent this time

So here I'm placing the cones
To can fly, yesterday I changed throttle's line, I made an expo
simply for when we have the stick more or less in the middle it could
hover, but problem is flying on 3S & as I told you
in the begginig of this series
componnents are old and we're flying this to see how the difference feels
when we become a bit better & buy something newer, right? with a bit more of power
so what I've done is simply
adjust that line to make it hover when stick's in middle possition but
as long that it's not so powerful
with stick in that possition it was loosing altitude
so I'll let you images on screen
but what I've done is changing from an exponential line to a
logarithmic one, in fact when stick is in
25% possition means for the drone
that it has to power to a 50
so for 50% to a 100 it means range must be from 75% throttle to a 100%
what it's gonna do
just lifting a bit throttle's stick to behave the drone a little bit more agressive
sucking more power but finally hovers without descending and fly better. So let's fly to see what we achieve today

That's simply out of place, it's not rocket science...

Well people as you could see drone flyes, it hovers fine in the air. It's true that it's a bit heavy drone &
it costs recover altitude when is descending
So to make it a little bit more reactive
and gain power for it, I'm working on
some mods. PDB is changed so we can get rid of this middle plate here
in order to make it lighter, but well, drone flyes,
hovers in the air, moves right, so as a begginner I felt good with it
in exception that it is a bit heavy drone
but for the rest it's behaving fine
so for begginners learn to flying in acro mode,
first flights &
don't know! first trainings & learn
ROLL, PITCH and YAW movements behavior
& get used to it 'cause
if you fly a bit far & loose video signal, you panic & those moves
are basement for control
Landings are also very important
practice! 'cause want it or not, when it breaks
it's a pain in the a** to be repairing... but it is what it is!
