Waching daily Jan 29 2018

- Home made remedies are really useful and easy to prepare. Maka will explain you

- this time how to make an easy preventive based in tobacco.

- Hi welcome again to UndergrowTv... Today another home made Brico Mary, to teach you how to avoid plagues.

- Specially outdoor. Indoor, we use to recommend specific remedies from your grow shop, but outdoor, we're more

- opened to other options... Not a great inversion and we could gamble... It's not a closed environment so we've got

- more reaction time if our pulverization is so softly. If you've got products from your grow,

- anti-plagues, preventives to fight whatever that could attack your garden, all of them has their doses and it's easier.

- With these home made remedies, proportion is not so exactly and we must variate it in function of plague's quantity.

- This time we'll see how to make an ati-plague for general plagues, like aphids or white fly and other insects.

- We'll talk about tobacco's remedy. This time we'll make it exclusively with tobacco, but you can add, garlic, chillies...

- To make it reach more plagues... It's a clasic to mix it with potassium soap. In this Brico Mary we'll teach you how to

- make this home made remedy agaisnt plagues from tobacco. We'll see 3 different formulas with different tobaccos.

- From conventional tobacco or rolling tobacco will be almost the same.

- We can also do it with natural tobacco, directly from the plant. You can grow it or get it if you know somebody who has it.

- If you do it, you'll get natural remedy. There are brands that sell tobacco powder to do that too.

- The 3rd example will be with stubs from tobacco smokers... I'm not but we collected it from an ashtray.

- What do we need to do that? Well we need tobacco, it could be in different formats as we've seen,

- Then we'll need a bucket to mix it with water.

- Between 2 and 4 litters of water... It depends of your garden and the quantity of plague you have to elliminate.

- Concentration will be important too... If you need a lot, make a lot. This time we'll make a test

- so start using 2 or 3 litters... And then add tobacco. We'll need all of it

- and a pan because we'll need to boil this with the water. And well you know friends...

- Let's fill our bucket with water... Add tobacco and let it macerating during... 1 week

- or something like this. We've commented we had 3 or 4 options... If you use conventional tobacco, use

- a proportional quantity to your infection. A logic quantity would be betweeen 2 and 3 cigarretes for 2 litters of water.

- It would be what i've usually seen. A few growers use a lot more... Like 40 cigarretes

- for 3/4 litters of water. You can let it macerate with stubs too... Rolling or conventional tobacco stubs.

- Simply let it there... We'll filter it later so don't worry. And then powder of tobacco or leafs

- wich we can grind a little bit and macerate it in water. This is the most organic case but remember,

- Aditives maybe damage insects more... So it could be not the most strong, but for sure the most healthy, so we

- recommend it in UndergrowTv. Let it macerating like a week or more if you can,

- it needs a few days to free all substances. Let it macerate simply. We can accelerate the process boiling it.

- We'll do it after macerating it, but i you don't have enought time, boil it strongly to accelerate the process.

- As you can see we've simply broken it... With a mini pimmer or a trimmer... Simply broke all vegetal matter

- to disolve it better. After a few days of maceration, filter it. Pass it through a strainer

- to obtain the result product... Clean insecticide to avoid to saturate our pulverizator. It's now filtered,

- let's do 2 different things... We could boil it

- or give it some heat to make a better mix, or even

- another filter process, but we'll show you the typical case... Add a little bit of potasic soap to increase

- insecticide's power and kill all your plagues. Potasic soap is available almost everywhere, you don't need to go

- to a grow, so if we want to add it to our tobacco mix, it will be nice because we'll attack directly to insect's digestive system

- Add 50gr for this quantity of water... Between 2 and 3 litters, but you should know quantities

- could variate depending on the dose, because different brands are diferently concentrate. Test starting with low doses,

- as in the kitchen. It will be always positive to let it macerate 7 or 8 days with potasic soap.

- Here's our home made remedy to kill a lot of plagues. Put it inside your pulverizator,

- regular or electric, and you'll keep plagues away. Irrigation frequence will depend of the plant's development

- and its strain. I'll give you basic instructions but you should adapt it to your garden.

- Then i'd recommend to irrigate once per week more or less... Observing symthoms. If potasic soap is excesive we'll

- damages in the plant, and if plague doesn't disappear, we must increase potasic soap. I wouldn't start direclty

- adding 50 gr of soap if you don't control it well. Tobacco will never damage your plant. This remedy is designed

- to be used during growth. In bloom, we don't recommend pulverizations. I hope it is useful for you friends,

- this technic is normally used outdoor, where it's difficult to obtaing specific insecticides. If you have an outdoor

- in your background or you can take more care... Getting those specific products in grow shops. We recommend

- Dutch Green in Bcn and Vallés or internet, or SLC Grow Shop, wich you can contact in internet.

- They've got everything, even being in advanced bloom. They have other plagues to fight your plagues avoiding

- damaging your plants. I hope you liked this home made remedy but i'd like you don't have to use it.

- Good smoking.

Let's talk about Racism... - Duration: 9:45.

In today's video, I want to talk about racism because

Racism is a thing that I think is very relevant all around the world

That affects many of us in some way or another

And that is very present in various aspects of our everyday lives

I want to talk about this because

There are a lot of people that everytime someone brings up

Slavery, colonialism and these kinds of topics, they roll their eyes

And say things like

"You're dwelling on the past", "You have to move on from this"

Or "These things don't happen anymore"

And from one point of view to another

In an effort to make us all understand each other, I want to say that

It is incredibly hard to move on from the past

When the past is still very present

When the past still affects the present

When those actions from the past, may not be happening exactly like that now

But are the reason behind other actions, happening now

That hurt people the same

When I say that racism is present in our everyday lives

I'm not talking about the obvious racist things that we can all pinpoint and call racist

I'm talking about the unnoticed things

Those things we ignore

Things we mark as insignificant

But those things, based on my experience

I realized

Are the reason why

Some people say or do things

Or act in ways towards a group of people

Or the reason behind how society works

An example of this, are the definitions of the words "white" and "black"

Both are colors, but if you look it up in the dictionary

The word "white" has all the positive connotations

Like Purity, kindness, innocence... Perfection, even

And if you look up "black"

It has all the negative connotations

Like evil, dirt, mystery , death

And this may sound stupid

Insignificant even, but

After analyzing some situations like for instance

Living in Spain, someone might shout "black!" at me on the streets

And expect me to get offended

Because for this person, the word "black"

Is an insult

The word "black" is a bad word

When actually, is not. It's just a color, like "white"

Or how most people avoid calling black people "black" and look for synonims

Calling us "colored people" (or African-Americans to black Americans)

Because for them, "black"is a bad word

When, and I'll say it again, It is just a color like "white"

And you can't say that racism

Is not present in our everyday lives

When we have people saying things like "You're pretty for a black girl"

Or "You're so smart for a black guy"

Or we have the typical phrases (in Spain)

Like "You're making me black" or "I'm having a black day" (*Phrases used in Spain*)

And these are all things

That depict negative things

Not only about the world "black"

But about black people

And I'm going to clarify this, because I think that many people

When they say these things

Don't understand how it can be racist to say to somebody something like

"You're pretty for a black girl"

But I'll explain it, for those of you who have ever used this phrase and similar ones, and don't know why is racist

Is racist because you are clasifying a group of people

A whole race, of which is impossible that you have met every single one person that is forms it

You're clasifying them as slow, or ugly or whatever

And in an attempt to give someone a compliment, you're offending them

Because you are offending his or her entire race. And, you know who else is part of that race?

Their family

So, you're insulting their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, siblings

Friends.... And therefore, is not a compliment

If you want to tell someone that they are pretty, just tell them "Hey, you're pretty"

Why on earth would you need to add

"For a..." ?

If someone is pretty, they are pretty. Would you add the "For a.." to someone of your own race?

I didn't think so, ergo, you're being racist

Anyways

When I talk about the effects of colonialism

And slavery in today's society,

I'm not only talking about interractions between people of different races

I'm also talking about interractions between people of the same race, how we see each other

The fucked up mentality, and mental damage that these things have left in people

And I think that is difficult to deny that this is an issue still, nowadays

When, for instance, there are people bleaching their skins because they think

That the whiter you are, the more attractive, the better you are

And for those of you who don't know this, most of this way of thinking

Comes from the slavery days, because during those days

The lighter skin slaves

Where the "favorites", they didn't have to work under the sun all day picking cotton

They were domestic slaves, house slaves

Therefore, seen as "better"

When you have countries in which

They talk about "advancing the race"

That if you're black, you better have kids with a white man because this way you're advancing the race

That if you're mixed, you better not have kids with a black man because then you'd be "setting back the race"

You need to have whiter kids to keep the race going forward, not backwards

When you have celebrities (although this has been changing)

But

I remember growing up and

Almost every black celebrity that I knew, was so lightskinned

That If somebody didn't tell me, I wouldn't have known that they were black

And I still remember this one time in high school, this classmate mentioned that he didn't know any black celebrities

And I was like "Dude, we talked about Beyoncé yesterday"

And he was like "Beyoncé is black?"

Very, very surprised

And is things like that, how all these people

Every idol they put on a pedestal

That was supposed to be black, was light skinned

And those who weren't, we weren't exposed to them as much

When you have movies about street dancing hip hop

Which was born in black communities

But they won't make the main character black

When there are entire communities of people

That think and feel like they don't matter, and have to go out and protest in the streets

That their lives matter

And nobody should be allowed to kill them and face no repercussion whatsover

When you have, someone like Nicki Minaj, for instance

Who poses for a photo of an album in a certain way

And people call her a hoe, a bitch, or ratchet

But you have another woman, posing in the same way

The only difference is, she's white and blonde

So people say that's fashion, she's hot....etc

When you have all these things happening

I think is very hard to deny that racism is still very present in society and in our lives

In my other videos I like to say "Stop doing or saying..." whatever

But in this one

I would like to give you guys an advice

Because I think that the following question is one that we have all asked ourselves at some point in our lives

How can I change the world?

And today, I want to say that

Sometimes, changing the world is as simple as sitting down and listening to one person

Listening to other people's afflictions

Listening to their pain

And how bad they have it

Listening to people who go through things that you might can't even fathom

Because

Sometimes to change the world

You don't need to hit the streets with a Malcolm X banner, or shout out the window

"End Racism!"

Sometimes is as simple as listening

Listening to who's struggling, however many times is necessary

Which I understand is a hard thing to do because

We all have our bubble, and we don't want it invaded

We all have our own problems

And is a bit like when your friend is going through a break up

And comes and tells you seventeen times in one week, how bad he is feeling

It gets to a point when you just want him or her to shut up

But I think that listening to them

As much as they want to talk about it, even if is seventeen times a week

It's a small inconvenience, compared to how they are feeling

Because at the end of the day

During those seven days of the week

Is your friend who has to live with that heartbreak

24/7, every hour, every minute, every second of the day

They are the ones dealing with that broken heart

They say that you only need to change one person to change the world

And when someone lives nasty situations like racism

I'm telling you first hand, it changes you and the perception you have of the world

For the worst. You start expecting the worst

You think the world is an evil place

You feel that you don't matter at all

That someone could come and hit or kill you for no reason at all

And you never get to understand what have you done to be hated like that

And when someone, even if they have no experience with the situation

Sits next to you, and truly listens to what you have to say

It changes your world

It lets you know that you matter, that your problems matter

That there are people out there

People that really want to change the world for the better

People who don't want things to be this bad for others

People willing to listen even if they don't understand, people willing to learn

Willing to find out what to teach their kids so that in the future, other people don't suffer like this

To make the world a better place

And that is all I want to say

By listening to one person, you can change their perspective of the world

Therefore you change their world

And therefore, you already changed the world

Toyota Yaris GRMN review - Duration: 12:36.

The chief editor asked me if I want to drive a Toyota Yaris.

Not really. It's a car for the elderly.

But a Yaris with 209 hp is okay.

This is something special.

Let me tell you the origin of this car, because it has a story.

Normally you can buy a Toyota Yaris with a max of a little over 100 hp.

It's not a car made for fast driving, but the people at Lexus and Toyota have an opinion now.

It should be more fun. That's why they do something crazy at times.

Two years ago Toyota decided to do WRC with the Yaris.

That one is more powerful than the car we're driving now. It has nearly 400 hp.

If you're going to do that, the marketing department wants something special for the customers as well.

That's why they looked at what they could build.

They contacted their people who know something about the Yaris and fun stuff.

They asked for cases to see the cool things they can build that don't cost too much.

They looked at the engines etc.

In the end, a Belgian man had the best idea.

That man is a Yaris product specialist and now for Gazoo Racing too.

That's what "GR" in GRMN stands for. I'll get back to the "MN" later.

That man is called Stein Peters.

His idea for this car was to use the 1.8 engine combined with a Land Cruiser intake manifold.

The fuel pump comes from the Lexus IS F. All these parts make this fun package.

The result, on paper, is good. This car has a supercharged 1.8-liter engine. That's special.

I'll tell you more about that later. With supercharger it has 209 hp and 250 Nm (184 lb ft) torque.

That's why it does 0-100 kph (62 mph) in 6.3 seconds, if you're good with a MT.

The top speed is limited to 230 kph (143 mph).

That's a Yaris Casper wants to try.

This Yaris is a limited edition. All have been sold already, so the price doesn't matter.

46,500 euros in the Netherlands. That's because of taxes and CO2 fines.

It's an expensive car compared to a Clio RS or 208 GTI.

However, only a few will be built. 600 in total; 200 for Japan and 400 for Europe.

Of the 400 in Europe is 1/3 right-hand drive for the English market.

Because it's a limited edition, it was sold out within 3 days.

You could sign up on a special Toyota website.

They didn't look at their most important costumers who want to store the car in a garage.

Instead, the first who signed up were allowed to buy one.

5 have been sold in the Netherlands, so you won't see one often.

That's a shame. Let me explain what this project is for.

Gazoo Racing will be the new performance brand of Toyota.

Audi has S and RS, BMW has M, and Toyota will have Gazoo Racing.

They will have two lines: Gazoo Racing and Gazoo Racing Masters of Nürburgring (GRMN).

Maybe the Japanese shouldn't come up with brand names.

That's what they're going to do. The Masters of Nürburgring (GRMN) line will be the exclusive one.

They'll continue doing that. There will be other models.

These'll be limited edition too. The level below that will be Gazoo Racing (GR).

That one will be freely available with an unlimited production.

This car has to start it all for the European market.

There are varieties in Asia, but this is the first model with the GR or GRMN logo in Europe.

That's remarkable, because the Yaris is almost done here. There'll be a new one.

This may be a nice goodbye model.

Enough about that. Let's talk about the handling.

It's fun. Keep going, keep going, keep going, and brake for the corner.

That's a shame. This was only 6,500 rpm. It could've been 500 more.

Another fun thing to mention is that the pedals are in the right position for easy heel-and-toe,

for those who like that and can do it.

The 1.8 has a supercharger, not a turbo. That makes it different from many other engines.

What makes a supercharger different compared to a turbo is, in short...

A supercharger sits on top of the intake manifold to make sure extra air gets into the engine.

It's connected with the crankshaft through a belt.

The supercharger spins faster at higher rpm and more air goes in.

You have to keep the rpm high to get the power, but that makes it fun.

It sort of feels like a naturally aspirated engine. Sort of, because it's not true.

This car has another fun thing: a differential lock between the front wheels.

It's a Torsen differential.

That means a little wheelspin on your inner front wheel, but it's limited.

There will always be power on the outer wheel, the with grip.

You can always accelerate in a corner. You're not smoking the inner front tire.

That's a fine recipe.

The fun thing is that on power you feel it pull to the inside line.

It feels a bit counterintuitive sometimes.

What if you lose grip? You accelerate and the front tightens the line. That's fun.

The looks. It can be recognized by the stickers. I think all are white and have these stickers.

There can be no doubt about what car you're dealing with.

You can also tell by the rims. They're nice BBS rims, but each is 1.5 kg lighter. That's nice.

The brakes are different too. It has bigger calipers.

The rear brake discs are bigger than those up front. The difference is only a few millimeters.

The front discs are ventilated, though.

It also has bigger calipers with 4 pistons for better brake power modulation.

I can affirm, because the brakes feel great. We're driving on mountain roads.

We're going downhill and brake hard. It doesn't matter. It's fine.

Kudos for the work done.

It can also be recognized by its big rear spoiler and the more aggressive front splitter.

The interior is stock Yaris. The seat is a bit high.

That's a shame, but it's not as high as I feared from a Yaris.

It has good bucket seats that offer good support.

They're taken from a Japanese Toyota model we don't have in Europe. The seats are great.

That's about it for the interior. The steering wheel comes from the GT86.

It says "GR". All cars have been sold to the connoisseurs, the real fans of the brand.

However, Toyota didn't give the freedom to...

"Those people know they're buying a performance model, so it doesn't need high safety margins."

No. Everything had to stay in one piece and be safe.

You'd expect a neutral car, understeering when you're going too fast.

That's not true. The rear is light.

I think engineers said they made it safe while winking at each other.

The rear does slide a bit when entering a corner fast. That's fun. It's easier to plant the car.

What else is there to say? The exhaust is a fun one.

I'll let Martijn film under the rear bumper.

The exhaust seems to go to the normal spot.

The muffler sits on the right, but a pipe turns to the middle to have the tip in the center. That's fun.

It sounds tame from the inside. It sounds good from the outside.

That's a shame. It's because there's been an event with pre-production models.

Journalists said it was too loud.

They were probably journalists with gray hair.

They were invited to look at a Yaris, not the performance version.

They spoiled the fun, although it doesn't sound bad.

It sounds feistier from the outside than it does on the inside.

I think it should make more noise inside the car. It would be fun for the experience.

It's one of the few flaws of a very fun car.

It's so much fun that cameraman Martijn, who's a Mégane RS fan, thinks this size is more fun.

This car found a place in his heart, as it did in mine.

I think it's a cool car. It's a shame that the Yaris GRMN is so expensive.

I hope Toyota will find a way to offer this brand a bit cheaper in Europe.

It'll be less feisty than this one, but you'll have a cool Yaris for 208 GTI money.

If I have to compare it to the Clio RS and 208 GTI and make a choice, it's going to be difficult.

I think I'd choose the 208 GTI, but that's because it looks better next to my 205 GTI.

This one is super good, though.

It's a compliment that Toyota is able to make me doubt.

If you can make a Yaris exciting, you know you're doing a good job.
