The last day of school this year the school al-Furqan — special excitement. And not even because ahead of the holidays and the New year, but because for the first time in the last four years, it will be a little sweeter.
"Brought candy, cookies, chocolates – all the things kids love," says the officer of the Center for reconciliation Svetlana Melnikova
- Thank you, children of Russia! Happy New year! - Thanks big for the children of Russia! I love you very much. Syria and Russia are United!
These candies were gathered by the children of Russia to children of Aleppo and transported here. Now employees of the Russian Center for reconciliation handed new year presents to children from the school.
This tree — portraits of children who died as a result of the terrorist attack from missile-volley fire at the school.
In this class forever interrupted an English class. The militants fired at the school November 20 — a day when the children of Aleppo, wrote letters to the bandits with a call for peace. Eight first-graders of the school al-Furqan will never come back for these desks.
"They went away and left me alone in the most expensive day for me — in the New year. Every year I wait for this day impatiently. I pray for them twice daily so they can feel good in heaven," says the student from the school al-Furqan.
Each student with a gift receives a letter from Russia. Svetlana reads the message: "Dear friend, I congratulate you on coming 2017! I wish you health and peace in Syria! Remember the friendship of our peoples. Moscow cadet".
"I read, tears welling. Very touching write. Nice to know that some children support others. They understand how hard it is for children in Syria," — says Svetlana Melnikova, officer of the Center for reconciliation.
A bit confused, ridiculous hats, these children for the first time to celebrate the New year with songs and dances. Earlier in Aleppo, were playing completely different music. That celebration can be these kids learned for the first time. The event was organized by the officers of the Russian Center for reconciliation. Without a gift, there is not one child.
"I was given a very beautiful gift, and toys and notebooks. It was so much fun", — shared her emotions the boy Rami.
"The holiday was wonderful! Finally we saw the smiles on the faces of our children" — happy dad of one of the children.
