WWE News - Enzo Amore Hospitalized Hours Before Raw

WWE superstar Enzo Amore is the latest Superstar to come under an illness, announcing on his Instagram that he was hospitalized in Miami. According to PWInsider.com, Amore was feeling sick and sent to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

There is no update on whether or not he will appear on Monday Night Raw, also in Miami. Braun Strowman is also suffering from an illness, and was sent home from the end of WWE's Holiday Tour.

But Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that The Monster Among Men will appear on Raw, despite being will with the Flu.

It's hard to think of a time when the WWE was last hit so hard with injuries and illnesses. Last week, it was reported that Dean Ambrose will be sidelined for nine months after tearing his triceps.

Big Cass is also recovering from a torn ACL injury he suffered in August, and isn't expected to be back until closer to WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt both missed several weeks – including the TLC pay-per-view – after suffering from the mumps virus. Reigns and Wyatt were replaced in their matches with Kurt Angle and AJ Styles, respectively.

Amore has been the WWE Cruiserweight Champion for 71 days and counting, having defeated Kalisto at TLC. He had previously been feuding with Big Cass – who turned on him to break up the tag team.

But after Cass' aforementioned torn ACL injury, the creative team shifted Amore to headline the Cruiserweight division. We'll be sure to provide any further updates on Amore's condition, though it currently doesn't appear to be anything serious.

In the meantime, it'll be interesting to see how the creative team works around possibly not having The Certified G in the building tonight.

WWE News - Chris Jericho Cuts Vicious Promo On Kenny Omega

Chris Jericho has admitted that he doesn't just want to beat Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12, he wants to end The Cleaner's career.

We are now just a handful of days away from one of the biggest matches in New Japan Pro Wrestling history. In fact despite 2018 only just beginning it could turn out to be the biggest match of the year.

Chris Jericho versus Kenny Omega. The hype and the build to the bout has been incredible and now the night is almost upon us.

It all began when Jericho interrupted Omega during a promo and shocked the wrestling world by challenging the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion to a match at Wrestle Kingdom 12.

Omega accepted and the two times the pair have interacted since then quickly became highlights on the 2017 wrestling calendar.

Y2J showing up and brutally attacking The Cleaner followed by Omega attempting to get his revenge at a press conference the following day. Over the weekend NJPW posted a video to their YouTube channel featuring an interview with Jericho.

The six time World Champion talked all things Omega and Japan, but perhaps the most notable segment was when he detailed how he wants to end his upcoming opponent's career.

Jericho recalled his attack on Omega when he bloodied the US Champ and that he will feel like 'the best in the world' when he makes women and children cry over their hero's career being over.

While all of the focus is currently quite rightly on the match itself, what also has to be considered is the bigger picture.

It's highly unlikely that once the match on January 4th is over, that will be the end for Alpha versus Omega. Chances are there will be a rematch somewhere down the line, and where that happens is anyone's guess.

Possibly Jericho's Rock And Wrestling Cruise, or maybe 2018 will the year that we finally see The Cleaner in WWE.

What's for certain is that the anticipation for Chris Jericho versus Kenny Omega couldn't be higher. Later this week the marquee match will happen and the wrestling world will finally find out who is better, Alpha or Omega.

Y2J probably won't end his opponent's career, but neither man will be the same once they're done with each other inside the Tokyo Dome.
