Samoa Joe INJURED! John Cena WWE Feud SCRAPPED?! | WrestleTalk News Jan. 2018 - Duration: 3:57.

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News - I'm Oli Davis.

Raw 25th Anniversary Details While Monday Night Raw's actual 25th anniversary

occurs tomorrow - it's first ever episode was broadcast on the 11th January 1993 - WWE

are wisely holding their celebrations on Monday 22nd, coinciding with the go-home show for

that weekend's Royal Rumble.

And whoah Nelly, is it shaping up to be a corker.

Not only are WWE effectively putting on two different shows for the event - simultaneously

broadcasting from both the Manhattan Center (Raw's original home) and the Barclays Center

in Brooklyn - and bringing back loads of legends, already announcing names like X-Pac, Ted DiBiase,

The Dudley Boyz, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker and Teddy Long.

Holla holla, that's going to be one hell of a tag team main event, playas.

The 25th anniversary show will also be WHAT, 5 HOURS LONG?

No, that's too long.

There's only so many in-ring promos I can take-

The Television Critics Association tweeted that Raw's 25th Anniversary show will be

a five hour event.

Thankfully, they quickly explained that would only be for the audience members attending

live: "Just for clarity, #Raw25 will air in its

usual 3 hour slot on @USA_Network" But while they might have a host of Legends

scheduled for the event, they might potentially be missing a Samoan Submission Machine.

Samoa Joe Injured Shortly after this week's Raw, WWE announced

Bayley's Mixed Match Challenge partner would be decided by the fans in a poll that included

Elias, Jason Jordan or Samoa Joe.

But by the following day, the poll's winner - Samoa Joe - had to be pulled from action.

"Thank you all for voting for @itsBayleyWWE partner in #WWEMMC, but due to an injury suffered

on #Raw @SamoaJoe is unable to compete…" "...therefore the runner-up @IAmEliasWWE

will be Bayley's partner.

#WWEMMC" Who wants to walk with Elias?

We all do apparently, because Kurt said so.

Samoa Joe being pulled from Mixed Match Challenge was followed by cries from the Internet of

'conspiracy, the Montreal Screwjob was a work, The Ultimate Warrior died in 1991'.

Some believed Joe was never meant to win the fan-voted poll, so WWE invented an injury

to replace him with their favoured guy Elias.

Whereas others thought Joe's injury was a cover so he could have time off for his

voice acting role as PredaKing in the Transformers animated series.

According to the very reliable PWInsider, though, "WWE sources have confirmed this

is not a work and Joe is legitimately injured."

- on which a WWE.com article then gave more details:

"During his match, [Joe] felt a pop at the bottom of his [right] foot…

[WWE Dr. Chris Amann] took a look and believes he has a plantar fascia rupture, which is

a thick tissue rupture under the foot.

We will get an MRI to confirm.

Treatment includes a period of immobilization in a boot with crutches and platelet rich

plasma injections."

The MRI scan will reveal the extent of the injury, but WWE must think it pretty serious

if they've pulled Joe from the Mixed Match Challenge, which doesn't start until next

week, and could conceivably run for at least a month before Joe would have to wrestle.

This is terrible timing, not just because Joe's been one of the best things on Raw

in recent weeks, but because he appeared set to start a feud with WWE's biggest star

John Cena at the Royal Rumble, with the Wrestling Observer reporting they're booked against

each other on house shows through February.

Teacher Removed In Handcuffs For Questioning Superintendent's Raise || SML News - Duration: 7:40.

Teacher Removed In Handcuffs For Questioning Superintendent's Raise

   .

Disturbing video taken at a Louisiana school board meeting on Monday shows a teacher being forcefully removed in handcuffs after she questioned a superintendent's pay raise during a public comment portion.

The teacher, who was identified as Deyshia Hargrave in a YouTube video and by a colleague to HuffPost, was called on to speak by a member of the Vermilion Parish School Board on Monday as it voted on the superintendent's contract — one that would reportedly give him a five-digit pay bump.

Hargrave, who is an English language arts teacher at Rene Rost Middle School, according to the school's website, voiced her concern about superintendent Jerome Puyau's pay increase, calling it a "slap in the face" to teachers who "work very hard with very little" as their class sizes grow.

A Louisiana schoolteacher was filmed being forced out of a school board meeting in handcuffs after questioning a superintendent's pay raise.

She was reportedly later booked at the local jail.

"We're doing the work, the students are doing the work," Hargrave is heard telling the board. "At the top, that's not where kids learn.

It's in the classrooms.

And those teachers, like myself, are not getting a dime from that, and that is unspeakable." Hargrave was silenced by a board member identified by Shreveport station KTBS as board President Anthony Fontana, who said concern about a raise wasn't relevant to the meeting's agenda and that questions were not permitted.

"What's on the agenda is the superintendent's contract," he told the audience.

"With a raise," the audience responded.

As Puyau addressed Hargrave directly, a law enforcement officer approached her, saying, "You're going to leave or I'm going to remove you."   A woman identified as middle school teacher Deyshia Hargrave is confronted by a law enforcement officer during a school board meeting.

Hargrave obediently leaves with the officer, but once out of the camera's view, she is heard yelling from an outside hallway. Video obtained by KTBS then shows her on the ground as the officer places her in handcuffs and physically removes her from the building.

In the parking lot, with a crowd of people standing by to watch, the officer threatens to perform more arrests for "public intimidation." KATC reported that Hargrave was booked into the Abbeville City Jail on charges of remaining where forbidden and resisting an officer before bonding out.

The Abbeville City Marshal's Office, which the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Department told HuffPost performed the arrest, did not return calls requesting comment.

According to Lafayette station KADN, Monday night's vote approved a $38,000 raise and a three-year contract extension for Puyau.

A school district employee who said she works with Hargrave and spoke to HuffPost on Tuesday under the condition of anonymity out of fear of losing her job, confirmed that substantial pay bump, adding that Puyau's new contract also gives him a car.

A copy of what appears to be Puyau's contract, which was obtained by HuffPost, states that the car, its fuel and maintenance will be paid for by the school district.

The contract's authenticity could not be independently confirmed.

Puyau and the Vermilion Parish School District have not responded to requests for comment.

"It's been approximately 10 years since they've had a pay raise for teachers, and there's a lack of technology, we don't have enough computers for every student, they've increased our insurance, and yet they give him a $38,000 raise and a vehicle," the district employee told HuffPost.

"That's a big raise," she said, adding that it's one he doesn't deserve.

"Everyone is supporting her," she said of Hargrove, who she said came into work Tuesday morning with bruises from her arrest.

"Everyone at this school is distraught and sick about what happened," she said.

Speaking of Puyau, she said: "We're upset with him for his performance and lack of concern for our school.

He's not a nice guy." Stephanie Robichaux, who said she retired from the school district last spring after 25 years working as a teacher and then school librarian, echoed disgust with the pay raise and how the situation was handled.

"The man could have escorted her out, but to put her in handcuffs and arrest the woman, that was absolutely ridiculous," she told HuffPost by phone.

The man could have escorted her out, but to put her in handcuffs and arrest the woman, that was absolutely ridiculous." Robichaux said that, though most faculty members are afraid to publicly speak out about Puyau, she believes a teacher strike may be on the horizon.

"We don't have money for things that are needed within the school, but they're able to give him a pay raise?" she questioned.

Robichaux said she did not attend the meeting but knew that those attending it, who were not on the board, were intentionally left in the dark about how much the new contract would pay Puyau, which could explain Fontana's insistence during the meeting that a raise was not relevant to the meeting.

"Everyone knew he was getting a pay raise, but they didn't know how much," she said.

Fontana and Hargrave also did not return emails seeking comment.

Rio Ferdinand gets severely trolled after latest training video | 24H News - Duration: 3:21.

Rio Ferdinand gets severely trolled after latest training video

Former professional footballer Rio Ferdinand's much publicised switch to professional boxing has been picking up pace in recent months. Ferdinand has been training since September 2017 and has even incorporated Team GB coach Richie Woodhall into his camp.

Back in September, the 38-year-old had this to say about his switch into boxing.

A lot of people sit and watch huge fights, plus other sporting events and say I can do that or theyve messed it up," the former West Ham, Leeds, Manchester United, and QPR defender said.

There are a lot of armchair fans wanting to pass judgement. Well, Im going to walk the walk and actually do it.

Im into keeping fit and one of the big things I have missed since retiring from football in 2015 is the competition, whether it be as a team or as an individual going one-on-one against a striker.

I just miss that chemical that comes out of you. I have not been able to replace it. This is a great way to get that back.

Im doing this for many reasons. Im doing this to test myself as a man, as a human being. Can I change sports? Can I be a respectable performer in other sports? Can my body get through it?.

Can I mentally get up early at 5-6am in the morning when it is dark and cold to go on long, dirty runs? Then get back, take my kids to school, go to the gym and eat properly all of the time.

This is a test of my mind and body, thats the way Im looking at it. Im not looking at it to become the world champion, Im not stupid..

Well, judging by the 38-year-old's latest video, he is struggling to keep to his self-imposed 5am starts!. The newly released clip shows Rio training alongside girlfriend Kate Wright, as the pair undertake circuit training at an outdoor gym.

Ryan Zinke Removes Florida Waters From Offshore Drilling Plan || SML News - Duration: 4:46.

Ryan Zinke Removes Florida Waters From Offshore Drilling Plan

WASHINGTON — Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke announced late Tuesday that at the recommendation of Florida Gov.

Rick Scott (R) — whom he called a "straightforward leader that can be trusted" — he will remove the state's coastal waters from consideration for future offshore oil drilling. .

The decision came just days after the Trump administration released a sweeping new proposal to open nearly all U.S.

waters, including huge swaths of the Arctic, Atlantic and Pacific oceans, to oil exploration. .

"President Trump has directed me to rebuild our offshore oil and gas program in a manner that supports our national energy policy and also takes into consideration the local and state voice," Zinke said on Twitter.

"I support the governor's position that Florida is unique and its coasts are heavily reliant on tourism as an economic driver.

Zinke had flown to Tallahassee on Tuesday to discuss the issue with Scott, a staunch Trump ally, in person.

   .

Scott had publicly pushed back against the administration's offshore proposal last week — even before there was an official announcement.

"I have already asked to immediately meet with Secretary Zinke to discuss the concerns I have with this plan and the crucial need to remove Florida from consideration," the governor said at the time.

The draft plan released last week covers 25 of 26 offshore planning areas and makes available for lease roughly 90 percent of the U.S.

Outer Continental Shelf. The administration has identified 47 potential lease sales — "the largest number of lease sales ever proposed" — including 19 off the coast of Alaska and 12 in the Gulf of Mexico, Zinke said during a call with reporters last week.

If approved, the five-year plan would be in effect from 2019 to 2024.  Scott is expected to make a run for Senate this year, challenging Sen.

Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), a longtime opponent of offshore drilling.

Nelson was quick to dismiss Zinke's decision Tuesday as a "political stunt."  "I have spent my entire life fighting to keep oil rigs away from our coasts," Nelson tweeted on Tuesday.

"This is a political stunt orchestrated by the Trump administration to help Rick Scott who has wanted to drill off Florida's coast his entire career.

We shouldn't be playing politics with the future of FL." Environmental groups also questioned Zinke's motivations.

Sierra Weaver, a senior attorney at the Southern Environmental Law Center ― which led the charge to have Atlantic waters removed from the current five-year leasing plan ― said that if the decision had been about anything other than politics, Zinke would have also announced the removal of the waters off Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, "where offshore drilling has already been rejected by local and state voices." "The fact is that an oil spill doesn't know or care where one state ends and another begins ― and Florida remains at risk, just like all states in the Mid- and South Atlantic," Weaver said in a statement.

But Zinke has not withdrawn any other offshore areas from consideration, despite pleas from governors and lawmakers up and down the Atlantic and Pacific coasts — a point that was also not lost on Democratic leaders from other states.

BREAKING NEWS ALERT , URGENT , US OKs selling Japan missiles to shoot down North Korean missiles - Duration: 6:53.

BREAKING NEWS ALERT , URGENT , LATEST UPDATE ABOUT NORTH KOREA

US OKs selling Japan missiles to shoot down North Korean missiles

The Trump administration has approved a $133.3 million missile defense sale to Japan to meet

the escalating threat from North Korea — by shooting down the rogue nation's own ballistic

missiles.

The State Department says Congress was notified Tuesday of the proposed sale

of four missiles for the SM-3 Block IIA interceptor.

A State Department official told Fox News that, "Also included are four Mk 29 missile

canisters, and other technical, engineering and logistics support services."

The department said the sale would support the U.S. defense industry and underscore Trump's

commitment to improve the defense of allies threatened by North Korea.

The system was jointly developed by Japan and the U.S.

The missiles could be used at sea with Japan's current Aegis-equipped destroyers and with

the land-based Aegis system its Cabinet approved for purchase last month.

That's intended to bolster Japan's current missile defense and perhaps curry favor with

President Donald Trump who is eager for U.S. allies to buy more American military hardware.

"If concluded, this proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security

interests of the United States," the State Department official told Fox News.

"It will bolster the security of a major treaty ally that has been, and continues to

be, a force for political stability and economic progress in the Asia-Pacific region.

It will also improve (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's) interoperability with U.S. missile

defense systems, and increase the protection for U.S. installations in the region."

Fox News previously reported that North Korea's weapons "are only aimed" at America and

its territories, a regime official menacingly revealed during Tuesday's joint talks with

South Korea — doubling down on Kim Jong Un's frequent threats to destroy the United

States.

William joins nurses in the theatre during an operation | news 24h - Duration: 3:03.

Like mother like son: Prince William joins surgeons in the operating theatre at cancer hospital that was close to Princess Diana's heart

Prince William has followed in his late mothers footsteps as he joined medical professionals in the operating theatre on Wednesday.

The prince donned nurses scrubs and a medical mask emulating the late Princess Diana who famously watched a heart operation at Harefield Hospital in Middlesex in 1996.

The Duke of Cambridge, President of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, visited the Trust's facilities in Chelsea where he viewed two pioneering robotic surgeries.

The 35-year-old royal joined Professor Vinidh Paleri and his team in theatre as they perform minimally invasive robotic surgery on a patient with adenoid cystic carcinoma.

The Duke of Cambridge emulated his late mother as he joined surgeons in an operating theatre to watch a robotic surgery on Wednesday . In 1996 Lady Diana Spencer famously donned scrubs as she witnessed a a heart operation at Harefield Hospital in Middlesex.

Robotic surgery offers patients less invasive and shorter operations when compared to open surgery, with fewer scars, and faster recovery.

The Royal Marsden has the largest and most comprehensive programme of robotic surgery for cancer in the UK, treating urological, gynaecological, head and neck, gastrointestinal and colorectal patients.

During the visit, The Duke will learn how The Royal Marsden, the first hospital in the UK to introduce da Vinci robotic surgery in 2007, is revolutionising the way cancer patients are treated.

The Duke will first meet Professor Vinidh Paleri, Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon, and his team as they perform minimally invasive robotic surgery on a patient with adenoid cystic carcinoma.

His Royal Highness will later join Mr Asif Chaudry, Consultant Upper GI/Oesophagogastric Surgeon, as he performs a robotic oesophagectomy, a procedure only available at The Royal Marsden.

During the visit, The Duke will also learn more about the UK's first ever robotic fellowship programme, funded by the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which trains surgeons from other Trusts across the.

Prince William paid a visit to Royal Marsden hospital in Chelsea on Wednesday where he was seen chatting to patients . Prince spent time learning about invasive robotic surgeries and was seen getting to grips with a robotic consoles.

The Duke of Cambridge, President of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, and was delighted to meet those who benefit from its work.

The father-of-two spent time chatting to those in care and their families during his first engagement of the day.

William will later join staff, volunteers, and supporters of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, to lend his support to their Best Man Project.

The father-of-twowill meet with volunteers and staff from CALM at High Road House, Chiswick, before joining a group of men who are taking part in filming Best Man Project videos where they chat about the importance of friendship and issues around mental well-being.

As well as the volunteers taking part, The Duke will meet Rio Ferdinand and his friend Jamie Moralee, who took part in the Heads Together campaign, musician actor Loyle Carner, and radio and TV presenter Roman Kemp.

CALM is one of the main charity partners of Heads Together, the campaign led by The Duke of Cambridge alongside The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Male suicide is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. CALM delivers services for men in crisis or distress, supporting the people around them and those bereaved by suicide.

They also campaign for long-term culture change to redefine and open up masculinity, so that over time fewer men will need support at crisis point.

CALM recently launched the Best Man Project to promote the idea that you don't have to wait for a wedding to be a great friend, and because male friendships can be instrumental in men looking after their mental health.
